You don’t know what reality is
That VERY much is reality. Canada has refineries sitting vacant because the government (and this goes back before Trudeau as well) won’t give the green light for Canada to refine it’s own oil
@Ed Broadbent you can’t possibly think Canadian oil producers would charge less if they dont have to. If we dropped the carbon tax 12%, theyd just raise the price 12%. Why wouldnt they

That’s the point though. Canada isn’t selling international because we can’t get our oil to market in any real quantity. There is fuel supply pressures yet there is plenty of oil in the ground because we declared fossil fuel infrastructure bad.

Exactly. EV is not an option at the moment. Why and what is the federal government waiting for? Canada has oil resources, just drill it for now. If we are no longer living, who cares about the environment? Get real!!!
Fun question to consider: what happens to the ecological system when a state goes full industrial transition age over a 10 year period an pumps massively to catch up then outpace their openly acknowledged adversaries, we the democratic west.
