Remembering George Floyd – Day That Was | MSNBC

The first of several memorial services for George Floyd was held Thursday in Minneapolis. Family spoke of his kindness, his aspiration to be a role model to his community, and his hugs. A eulogy by Rev. Al Sharpton included 8 minutes and 46 seconds of silence – the amount of time that a police officer pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck, causing his death. Protesters in Minneapolis and around the country expressed mourning as they continued their calls for an end to police violence. Aired on 6/5/2020.

  1. So this is the leader of Black America – Al Sharpton !!!! No wonder blacks want everything given to them ! Race bating is a business old Al has mastered !

    1. @Abd R M Also, what I said didnt come from the media. The FBI was investigating him for a few reasons but there are a lot of people who knew him. He loved cheating on his wife with white girls.

    2. @Grizzly Dan Right the same FBI that cracked down on the Black Panthers and called them “American’s No.1 Enemy” while allowing the KKK to exist and never deeming them a threat even though they killed 5,000+ people. The FBI back in the day was a tool to “silence” any “agitators” and MLK was definitely seen as an agitator and a “troublemaker”. He’s only being respected now. The FBI was a political tool that was used to target certain groups and people are now finally seeing that even today. it’s still the case. It’s funny they were watching a “peaceful protester” that closely. Just tells you, how it doesn’t matter how you protest, they will try to silence you.

Elvis used to sleep with 14 year olds. Even by “back in the day” standards that was young and people around him thought it was very odd. He was the biggest superstar and could have had any lady he wanted but he clearly preferred much younger girls. Not normal. He’s still celebrated and these things are seldom brought up. Double standards.

    3. @Abd R M Actually the KKK was exposed and cracked down on, but they werent going around killing cops like the Black Panthers and other similar groups. You think MLK didnt lol? I’ve got friends who were around in that era on the complete opposite of the political spectrum from me. People in their 70s and 80s get around to letting some pretty far out information slip when you’re the only friend they’ve got. The whole movement was just as morally corrupt as anything you can imagine.

    4. @Grizzly Dan I don’t know why we’re talking about his personal life. His movement and what it led to, the civil rights act, was definitely worth it. I don’t know how you could argue against that, boomer. lol

    5. @Abd R M Would you say his movement lead to what we have today? Do you know kills the most black people? It’s not the cops…

  2. Please Make The Coronavirus Healing and Disappeared In The End In The Name of Jesus.☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️🌎🌎🌎

    1. Guys let’s not forget Patrick Underwood either! He was also a black federal officer who was killed.

    2. Where is the video showing his death? Every report says “his body was found on the ground”. Doesn’t say who killed him or how he died? Seriously looked into it. They “assume” he died trying to stop looting but where is the proof. I don’t trust cops and police reports one bit. The reports are always false until a video leaks and they go back and change the report. Just like the 75 yr old that was pushed by the cops yesterday. Initial report said “he tripped and fell” and then a video leaks on twitter showing that he was clearly pushed. Now they changed the report and suspended the cops. Cops are like a gang. Organized mafia. They lie to protect each other and will go to any length to exonerate themselves. 0 trust in police. A bunch of bullied kids who want to assert their dominance on unarmed civilians.

    3. Bianca Polo
He died while under arrest for trying to spent counterfeit cash and was resisting arresting until detained where the camera picked up the story.

    4. @Random Youtube Comment , I agree with you, Floyd should not be celebrated as a Martyr; however, my condolences are with the family for his loss

    1. @David McIntyre don’t be stupid it’s not about that he could have been a doctor and been killed by racist cops

    1. It was a political rally for the political party that wants to start taxing churches because they believe them to be too much involved in politics and in telling their congregations to vote for their political rivals.

    2. I used to work at a music shop and every black dude would say that “iss foe da church man” to try and get sales tax off.

  3. His Name was Officer David Dorn who was covered for 5min by MSM however, Crackhead Thief is given 7/24 Coverage by MSM proving only SOME Black Lives Matter~

  4. Hope they remember when GF held a gun at a ladies baby bump while his friends robbed her house

    1. And the sad thing is it was a black pregnant woman imagine how she feels with her whole community idolizing him as a saint smh😔

    2. Floyd had 4 x the AMOUNT of Fentanyl in his system, 11ng/mL fentanyl in his blood. Fentanyl overdoses occur with 5-7ng/mL. Consequences are RESPITORY FAILURE and DEATH via OD on FENTANYL.
IF Floyd Lived He’d be released from Prison in 2035 at 61, an XCON would receive more time.

    3. @Order11110 once a drug is taken best they can do is public intoxication but added to his other charges of trespassing and the money thing and probably a disturbing the peace charge considering his former record I completely agree

    4. I am against inherent racism of US, I am against the horrible way GF was brutally murdered. There Should be police reform. I am scared because I’m a minority race. My parents were 1st generation immigrants who has worked hard all their lives paid taxes, law abiding citizens who taught us to work hard, study hard to achieve the opportunities that America can allow. I know there’s glass ceilings in the White America.. I’m not immune or blind from systemic racism. But for over 400 years Black Americans were here, where are their own standard for diligence, family unit. Let’s not blanket everthing but be accountable too, for your actions or inactions as well. May George Floyd rest in peace. I’m going to vote for the people who will help make justice for All a reality!!😔🥺🙏

  5. Why isn’t anyone Talking about that these two guys worked together for 17 years? More to this than meets the eye!

    1. @Hallking78 Only because cops don’t get convicted, genius. The lie and make up false police reports and back each other up. He had 20 civil complaints against him and that’s just the number of people that dared to speak up. Thanks to camera phones, now at least some of them will have to pay for being cold blooded murderers.

    2. @Abd R M if the justice system responded the way you apparently would like it too, George Floyd would be doing life in prison for multiple felony convictions.

    3. @Hallking78 Corrupt cops who commit felonies in the name of “protecting people” should serve time and lose their job and pension. Doesn’t matter if they’re white or black. We need to police the police. They’re humans just like us. Some are bad and some are decent. They shouldn’t be above the law.

    4. @Royce you might want to erase that post. I won’t let you defame my character..I am not crazy so don’t assult me unless you want to be sued

  6. All of those people listening and pretending to know him makes it feel like the academy awards.

    1. Tonny Stalk George was on meth and feytnal and had covid so why you trying to talk about other people being on meth

  7. Hey remember when the Autopsy came back and he was addicted to meth and fentynol?

  8. Watch malcolm x on Democrats and liberals On YouTube.he was a smart man and everything he said is still true to this day.

  9. what about the pregnant woman he rob, were her platform to speak? Also making fake checks like wow

  10. To Honor the memory of George Floyd – counterfeit $20 Bills were passed out at his Memorial Service.
