Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-TX) joins NBC News' Garrett Haake as the city he represents, San Antonio, is seeing a huge spike in COVID-19 cases. 1. So Very True.. I sure do hope when this is all said and done and Mr Trump has been Retired..that Folks do realize that rebuilding our Country is going to be terribly costly..When you try to wrap your head around all of the matters that need to be undone it is horrifying..Then add the fact that we are now in an Economic Recession..Yikkkes.

    2. It was never “great”, Americans just claimed it was, it’s been unequalled for its barbarism and hypocrisy since its founding genocide.

    1. @Holger Touby its capitalism same Bs everywhere you don’t pay medical bills they will get you on other bills 🤣 the only places with free high quality health care are united arab emirates dubai Abu Dhabi etc plus you d’ont pay taxes many americans going to dubai to do surgeries

    2. I cant wait for years later when I can travel without fear. I found out I have German in my blood and plan to visit there one day. Visit a place that has been apart of me. Visit whatever is left from the set of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory which was 49 years ago. I’m even trying to learn some German as well! Born in Canada, but my bio mom has Latvian in her. I think they must have German too and that’s probably where that piece of info originates.

    3. But Western Europe has such disgusting opressive countries (for Muricans): no KKK, no nazi party, police may not shoot freely, black and brown workers with same rights as white ones, and so on….

    4. @Bronze Dosser
That’s where the money goes. The Dems and the Republicans recently agreed on a 740 billion dollar military budget. However, they “can’t afford” a decent healthcare system for all their people. ???
The USA is a very sick country, it has advanced technology but is otherwise backward, barbaric and reeks of hypocrisy.
      Cheers

    1. why? red states got more federal bailout money for covid than new york that was hardest hit

    2. @At The End Of The Day with Yieley Not to mention Red states are cost centers, in that they pay in far less than they take. Kentucky for example, spends $37 million a year more than they contribute. All Red states are that way. Blue states are profit centers, in that they bring in more tax revenue than they spend. Without Blue States, Red States would have had to file bankruptcy years ago. If Blue States were to file bankruptcy, that would end Red States, as they’d no longer be able to barrow from Blue states and would hit a deficit, very quickly.

  1. Trumpublicans: Coronavirus is a hoax.

    Several weeks later…

Trumpublicans: Coronavirus is just hitting Democrat cities.

    Coronavirus: Wait for it….

    1. Jason – their hypocrisy is so ridiculous and just keep talking. It’s such nonsense.

Anyone who refuses to acknowledge their inconsistency is a MORON with zero objectivity.

    2. Joshiah- (I’m an independent) however think you meant flu and actually your wrong. Millions die each year. Also foxy is right in some points 6 corporations own the media and they are globalists d if your a millionaire your not in their circle unless you have 100 in the bank. I couldn’t talk to you while working for a company when I was 25 unless you had 10 million in the bank and I was at the bottom of private banking. Their is real wealth out their and if you have never been around that environment you are in for a rude awakening (the color of your skin doesn’t matter to them btw they come in all color and nationality) deleted my other comments to keep this more msnbc friendly.

    3. Other countries can’t imagine having to PAY for tests. GOLPH money would cover that. Son in laws lettuce business could return business loan to buy PPE so nurses DON’T have to use one mask for two weeks. Just an idea.

  2. This fiasco continues unabated due to the greatest lack of effective leadership in the history of the US.
Trump is the most incompetent president ever….blood all over the his hands.

    1. Muddy Water Absolutely right. Within his presidency. Unfortunately ,I do not find the virus that is killing so many people funny.Stay safe.

    2. The comedy is on the side where he says non-sense about the virus, the democrats, the responsibility, and then he blames someone. Everyday he gives someone a new nickname and let me tell you Trump is just dumb…

    1. Laura Lafauve : in Canada, our healthcare is not tied to our job. Every Canadian has basic Heath care. With your job, different companies carry different benefits. Drug prices are cheaper here as well. The federal government has promised universal pharmaceutical coverage, but it may be a while, given the pandemic. Our system is not perfect, but if you lose your job, you still have care.

Stay safe, stay sane, be well

    2. Raw Ross it’s not luck, it took a lot of work by a lot of people over generations. (The pharmaceutical benefits scheme providing subsidised medicine began in the 1940s)

Even now we have to protect Medicare from right wing politicians. These ideologues gain succour and funding from the US, which is one reason we have an interest in seeing their lies and failures exposed in America.
      We’re all in this together!

    3. Sir David of Tor Same here in the U.K. we are quietly celebrating 72 years of our National Health Service. My sister who lives in the USA is a retired nurse, she had to work even when she was in a lot of pain to make sure she got her health insurance. My other sister also lives in the USA, both of them long to come home. They have lived there for over thirty years and say the healthcare is non existent if your poor. The only thing keeping them in the USA is their families.

    1. Blue Jay I would rather pay high taxes than high medical bills………btw…….Medicare itself is free in British Columbia………boom!!

    2. Glad to be canadian of course thank god for universal health care in the us their health care is pathetic

    3. rose novel LOL…….your more than welcome……..we actually like immigrants……white, black, brown, etc……even American……..LOL………doesn’t matter…………we’re all gods children……………aren’t we?

  3. Honestly if we can give other countries 250 billion for defense they can give Americans another aid bill. Sorry the first number of 5 billion was a mistake.

  4. Fighting over a bill called The Heroes Act is pathetic. Obviously these workers are not viewed as heroes.

    1. What made me really sad is soon as Trump ordered the meat plants to stay open, the companies took away the measly $1 an hour that the workers had been given. They are still getting sick and dying left and right. BOYCOTT MEAT!

  5. How many unemployed and newly evicted families be able to pay for this expensive testing when they can’t pay their rent anymore??

    1. Countries with universal coverage know the people come first. did everything to protect each other. Country with no coverage India, Brazil, USA a ticking Time bomb

    2. if you heard and it’s said yesterday AGAIN – people CAN’T BE EVICTED PERIOD, second…you all were “full mouth” of US fantastic med.care….( ?!?!?) Now ask Trump to pay your bills

    3. @S T23 lol, homie. Not sure where you are from but you can Google that, if you have Google in your country

  6. This incompetence is costing us around a 1000 deaths a day and they say its gonna get worse, I really hope not as this is now getting painful for everybody. Everybody’s scared because this thing is undoubtedly lethal for all.

  7. Plus if the republicans get their wet dream come true and the ACA is repealed then aaalllllll the folk who have had a confirmed diagnosis of covid-19 would have a nice shiny new ‘pre-existing condition’ that insurance scum can use to refuse coverage.

And the gop have let the virus spread like wildfire.

  8. 40 million with zero health insurance. Bill on the floor RIGHT NOW to erase coverage for another 30 or 40 million people. Because that will help.

  9. Since Covid affects more non-whites, Republican’s limiting Covid resources is their way of “ethnic cleansing” 😟 😢
    tRumpVirus

  10. “Everything is fine! Just go back to work and school!” said the republicans on fox news from their living rooms.

  11. Texans Voted in Republicans who could care less about them, parents and children!! Craaaaazy Time in America!!!
