  1. If the stimulus bill was for corporations, banks and Wall St, Republicans on Capitol Hill would be holding hunger strikes in order to get it passed. But the stimulus bill is for actual real people, real working class Americans,  so naturally, republicans couldn’t care less if it passes or not. In fact, they would prefer that it didn’t pass.

Why anyone who isn’t a billionaire or multimillionaire, would still vote republican today, is beyond me. The Republican party finally threw off it’s veil of deception when it created “Citizens United.” That was the day the Republican party finally owned up to the utter contempt it has for the American people. That was the day the Republican party spat in the faces of the American people, and then turned around, and embraced corporations and Wall st.

    1. I like to see both parties bill and find out for myself who is lying bc both sides claim the other one is stalling, and being corupt and in it for themselves . Is there a web site or anyplace I can go check for myself? Does anyone know ? Please and thank you .

    2. @Tessmage Tessera
We are watching, live as it happens, in color, the collapse of the American empire. This pandemic is now into its eighth month and the USA still has no coherent strategy to deal with the effects.
All those people unemployed, evicted, hungry, angry. All those guns.
This is the greatest failure in modern history. David Gainey has played his own small part.
      Cheers

    3. Trump is willing to go it alone and go unilateral and sign executive order to give money to the people..what are the democrats going to say are they going to b..about it if trump goes executive order?

    4. @Thomas Armsworthy Jr It’s all talk with no substance… typical tRump. He won’t do any unilateral thing. Plus, even if he wanted to, he doesn’t have the Constitutional authority. The Constitution says Congress holds the power of the purse (anything entailing money).

    1. What is the democrats defense? We are fighting not to give you money..Trump is willing to go it alone to do an executive order to give money to the people ..what would Biden defense would say?

    2. @Thomas Armsworthy Jr Conned by the con man?
Worst handling of pandemic in the developed world
Most divided country since civil war
      Worst international relations ever
      Russian bounties etc

    3. @Wigg Picker how long are you going to keep believing it’s a lie? People had charges filed and went to jail. But your gulible so of course you believe it’s a lie.

  2. The Trump presidency is going just like doctor Frankenstein and his experiment I’m quite sure the good doctor had good intentions but it all went South on him after he created the monster

    1. The GOP had a chance to rid themselves of this monster. Instead they chose to aid and abet these criminals in the oval office, his aides and advisors, secretaries in useful fed departments. With the exception of Mitt Romney (I can’t believe I’m saying this), every senator up for re election must be voted out for breaking their oath of office as well as all manner of criminal actions. A real leader of the GOP would have heard all the evidence and then ordered every other republican to explain the fact based evidence to their voters for their opinions. They are after all taxpayers of the country and they have to be consulted and the majority rule. A real leader sometimes does have to do something that majority does not want. A real leader explains the reason for his/her actions in a calm, rational, fact based interview or series of interviews ensuring that every citizen has access to the facts. A real leader will calmly accept the protestations of the public and wait for time to reveal the wisdom of his/her decisions. That’s pretty much it in a nutshell and I don’t know why this seems so hard for the GOP.

    1. kersa pillay There’s a difference between being strong and being a bully and a dictator! Learn the difference!

    2. @Maureen Peterson Yes. The word strongman means a dictator !! In politics, and world leadership. And yes, they are always bully’s with horrible human rights flaws.

    3. Odie Martin Oh right – I was thinking a strong man was a leader who looked out for their citizens! My mistake – I apologise!

    4. @Maureen Peterson I know you knew the difference but I swear , there are so many that don’t. Apologize for stepping on your toes, because we are on the same sheet of music. I’ll try to be more courteous next time. It’s just that Trump loves dictators and he calls them strongmen.

    5. Odie Martin You know what I don’t get – America- the richest mightiest country in the world – so called but people are one pay check from starving! If that is the richest country I’m happy to stay in far off Australia! We have a strong leader! He shut the country down completely in March with the strictest rules! They pay every employer $3,000 a month per employee to keep staff employed – the employer tops it up to your normal salary! They pay unemployed $1,500 per fortnight! Banks have deferred mortgage payments for 6 months and landlords are not permitted to evict people! Melbourne had an outbreak recently – the whole state is locked down – no other state will accept travel from that state! America is going to be in this for the long haul because they will not follow the health officials! They won’t be allowed to travel to Europe or most of the rest of the world!

  3. How about the GOP members (McConnell, Graham, etc…) are forced to live on $600 a week for just six months…then let us know how nice it was for those six months and show us all the money they were able to save from that.

    1. what about rupert murdoch… he might actually get to taste that can of soup he was waving around when trump introduced the metal tariffs.

    1. Voting in Nov. isn’t going to help the 30+ million folks who just lost $600/wk in extended unemployment benefits. They need & deserve help from their gov’t yesterday.

  4. If Trump the Chump can give that much money to a faceless company like Kodak, then he can fork over some dough for us lunch-pail Americans who really need it.

  5. Yes, let’s give the company that couldn’t adapt to the changing times for the last 20 years $750 billion to prove that wasn’t a fluke.

  6. This was written in 2012 – The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.

  7. Food gone, eating leftovers, no na’da, Congress stop dragging your feet on our stimulas, hungry taxpayers.

    1. Benjamain Zambrano Its the Senate that is dragging, neglecting heir oathtonte American people😢😢🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  8. 🗣Speak Rep. Clyburn!
My Grandmother used to say the same thing, “Something in the milk ain’t clean!”

So now Kodak is in the pharmaceutical business?
To be given a $765 million government loan by the Trump administration to manufacture drug ingredients; and then the stock shares spike 2,190% like a supernova effect within 2 days, something definitely isn’t clean.
SEC and NASD, if you’re listening, “find the emails, transcripts, and follow the paper trail!” That is, if they haven’t been shredded already.

In the meantime, Americans are on the brink of starving to death; if COVID-19 doesn’t get us first! “PATHETIC!”

  9. “We the People” have paid our taxes and paid our FICA and paid our insurance premiums and paid into UNEMPLOYMENT for a lifetime == now we hav a clown saying no one deserves what they’ve paid into. Thank you Rep Clyburn—HELP WE THE PEOPLE=====please not take Gov Whitmer from Michigan we need her desperately.

  10. Some of that Kodak money is going into trumps pocket , he is making deals on loans and grants, why are you people so blind.
