Stop, this underestimation of the state of things needs to stop. The fact is those Republicans will probably win reelection. The Republican Party and its voters live in alternative realities. Even now they are spinning this story to disassociate themselves from what happened. Saying it was Antifa that caused the violence, that they had posed as Trump supporters and infiltrated the “peaceful protest”. They can’t accept reality. The reality that THEY are apart of this. Republican leaders fed lies that led to this. Conservative media spread lies that caused this. A Republican President incited this, and Trump supporters committed this act of insurrection and terrorism. They can’t accept it. So they won’t. So a new lie will be formed to make themselves feel better. If it doesn’t work than another lie will be tried. It’s awful and pathetic but don’t underestimate it by thinking it’s going to go away soon.
Then you dont realize reality. Republicans will more than likely be re-elected and Democrats once again will be the losers as usual.

Particularly, now that he seems to “pretend to support a smooth transfer of power”…..nobody would believe that. I agree with you and noticed MSNBC Morning Joe was talking this morning about that exact thing, Giuliani actually used the word: “Trial by Combat” to foment action as the supporters began to leave that venue.
