@Preston Williams I agree with your point that a lot of people of a certain age group appear to vote against their own interests Statistically It has been the case that as people get older they vote more conservatively. The problems start when you lump all people of that age into the same negative stereotype.
I don’t agree with generalising about a massive cohort of people from all over the world with completely different lifestyles and attitudes. My mother is a “boomer” and is an environmentally conscious left voting agnostic who hates trump and similar politicians with a passion.
Scapegoating a particular group (who aren”t even a homogeneous group) is a right-wing tactic which has no place in civilised discourse.
