Rep. Lee: Anti-Asian Violence Needs To Be Addressed At 'Grassroots Level' | MTP Daily | MSNBC

  1. Racists: “Go back to where you came from!”
    Asian-Americans: “I was born here.”
Racists: “Yeah, well, go back to China!”
Asian-Americans: “I’m not Chinese though. Never even been there.”
    Racists: 😡🤬

Boy, racists sure are dumb. 😅😂🤣

    1. @Ro G Ironic. Whatever the motives of the others Biden went on record to state that his motivatiom for wanting passage of the bill was racism. He uniquely emphasized that.

    2. @Shawn Corbin This one case may (by some oddity) turn out not to be an Asian hate crime, but even if it does, Anti-Asian violence ramps up in the United States, a disease that has been here for a long time.

If this is what is needed to springboard this action, so be it.

    3. @ryarod I disagree. The answer is not legislation to force compliance. Do you trust government to solve a “heart issue” consideringbthese same hacks are launching a racist narrative against white people? Racism is racism, it’s always ugly, but we didn’t really have this problem before those in power and their media acolytes starting pushing the agenda to divide the American people.

    4. @Shawn Corbin “Racist narrative against white people”

I despise the superfluous infliction of white guilt as much as the next guy, but this is suspicious considering that a fair number of individuals calling for action are, in fact, Caucasian, and are being treated respectfully by the ‘launchers’.

I also disagree with your claim we ‘didn’t really have this problem’. We did. The USA’s history is strewn with racially-motivated hate crimes.

Look, I too would prefer there to be no need for policing, and no need for special measures. However, it seems that the conservative opinion at the moment is generally just to deflect, ignore, and to give word service and pretend it’s a one-time thing. That kind of inaction is why, despite my preference for conservative and moderate arguments, I’m sticking with the Democrats.

Maybe they are the baiters and the toadies they’re accused of being, but in all these problems they’re the only side of the two big parties actually admitting there’s a problem and offering solutions.

    5. @ryarod Fair enough, and I respect the agree to disagree option. Thank you for your courteous discourse, it’s VERY uncommon on these boards. I pray that we as a people can work through our differences and arrive eventually at unity. Peace to you!

  2. to the extent that murdoch’s not caring at all about news goes unaddressed. will mark the ability to put right wing hate in the rear view mirror, thanks!!

    1. So NBCUniversal and Comcast (owners of MSDNC) care about news? All state sponsored media is shameful.

    2. @Google User all only similarly shameful seems to be a distinction crafted solely so as not to act, thanks!!

    1. Does not seem like the socialists have any liberal roots remaining. Look at what happened to Tulsi in the primary’s.

    2. @Google User they don’t. They are communists and socialists with a few useful idiots who think they’re moderate

  3. Just saw anti asian ad on infowars ch had a cartoon dragon talking with a derogatory Asian accent saying all sorts of horrible things that were blatant lies and ugly stereotypes if this kind of thing is allowed to be shown on TV how can we expect any kind of unity in America. Tired of seeing so many ethnicities being attacked by far right hate groups masquerading as gop free speech.

    1. Who watches InfoWars after sandy hook.. You do! You probably know more about Q then Q themselves also. What a tool.

    2. @Gomer Biden just happen to be flipping channels its on 24hrs spreading hate, lies and misinformation. You can see how that fits in with the story this comment is about.

  4. we have Asian neighbors next door who are quite friendly they always wave. I don’t see how anyone could hate someone because of who they are. When you’re not safe you take about half a dozen friends or family with you most of the the time people like that won’t attack you if they see more than one or two because they are cowards.

    1. @David Brown 👍 wasn’t that a thumbs up? Here’s a cookie 🍪 too. Where’s mine? Is it because I’m a white guy?

    2. @King Parsons to say that they are nice I can’t say it without saying Asian. You want me to be racist so bad that you will see things that are not there to do so. you take your friends were you can find them.

    3. @David Brown So, you have good neighbors. Good for you. Are the “Asians” the only good neighbors you have?

  5. Ironically, most of the anti-Asian violence that occurs in United States comes from people who look like Rep.Barbara Lee. 🤫😉

  6. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    1. You can have everlasting life, I don’t want it. Have you ever examined what that would entail? Besides, it’s a fantasy that doesn’t exist. Dream on. Try something original. Scripture is dead works of dead men whereas God is of the living.

    2. If you’ve been born again of the Spirit of God, you’ll love the things of God, including the scriptures. There are so many people who think they know God and yet they reject the scriptures. I believe this is due to ignorance at best. There are many counterfeit Bibles on the market, bibles that have been changed and are corrupted for filthy lucre’s sake. But the King James Bible is the great fruit bearing Bible in the English language. It’s the real one. With a little time and patience and prayer, you can be reading it with no problem. I learned to read it in like two months time, and if I can do it, anybody can do it. When Jesus raises the dead, he’ll give the redeemed saints glorified bodies, ones that never grow old or sick, feel pain or sorrow, and of course never die. Everlasting life will be wonderful, and it’s required, for the alternative is everlasting damnation in a fiery pit with the devil and his angels. You must be born again. Search your heart, and search the scriptures. Jesus literally gave himself as a free gift to all mankind. Why would you reject him?

  7. We cannot be expected to fight other people’s battles if we can’t even fight our own. Asians as a whole are way more privileged than black people and have the money and resources to fight on their own.

Don’t worry. This anti Asian violence is just temporary. Anti black violence is here to stay. Your community is protected. You already have legislation and a phone line in place in a matter of weeks. The black community has been fighting for 400 years and will still be fighting for another 400.
