  1. Isnt that a bit late in the game when you’re retiring anyway?
We all saw this coming the day the mango mussolini gave his ‘american carnage’ speech. At least those of us who did not cow tow to him for four years.

    1. Hypocrite! He should have resigned his membership when he looked into the heart of trump and witnessed ALL the terrible things he achieved and said. The horse has already left the stable. Resigning now proves nothing and I question any bodies motives from resigning from a disaster that they have perpetuated. No morals, no integrity, no honour.

    1. you got that right that’s not bravery. This retiring congressman has nothing at stake. Katie Porter has more bravery than all of these fat rich republicans.

    2. @William Fitzpatrick he isn’t agreeing with all his and other Republicans are doing he isnt going to be a Republican any longer due to how they were thinking of them not the people. He dont agree with all the bs.and how they out Trump first. Yes he said he voted for him but the bus after showing, Trump lost he doesn’t agree with.

    1. @Joe Campbell that’s true, he did. But he still supported Trump’s policies. He did the right thing now, but he didn’t when he had the chance to vote in private. He seems decent enough, but he has a part of the weight of all the lives Trump’s policies destroyed.

    2. @Lee C I’m as supportive of him the same way I would be of rats fleeing a burning home after they chewed through the wiring. I’m bone tired of constantly being told to coddle these people. They don’t get to be an active part in the deaths of thousands of people and then say oops, sorry, and everything is ok. They’ve been coddled for the last 4 years. They’re just fine. I’m done with them. Every one of them knew upfront what a despicable person Trump was. Not only did they support him, they are complicit. All the lines that were crossed over the last 4 years that did irreparable damage to women, children, sexual assault victims, people of color, and this was the final straw. He’s a rodent fleeing a fire he helped set. Nothing more.

  2. Notice how Republicans always find their “conscience” when they are about to have or after their retirement?

    1. @Ross- A -Roni
Except saying that people that get help are ALL lazy. You don’t know what you’re talking about! You cannot live on government assistance alone! Not even. In many states if you are not on Disability or unemployment you can only get cash assistance IF you have children. There’s also a limit of time you qualify. So DO NOT even go in that pathetic direction. If you think $15.00/mo is enough food assistance, then you live in another universe!

    2. @Will Collier LOL…how stupid do you have to be you confuse them with republicans/FASCISTS who want to overturn democracy?

    3. @Cill Triplett
I live in South Texas, buddy.
Don’t you tell me I don’t know about Section 8 and food stamps.
And don’t you tell me the hoods and projects ain’t full of people just “chilling.” I see it every god-damned day, bud. Every day.

I have zero issue with social safety nets. None. My family has used them. They are meant as safety nets, ASSISTANCE, not a way of life.

And my point in my Statement was: yes there’s f’ing racism in this country. Has been for centuries. So f’ing what. My mexican sister is a doctor. My “bad hombre” mexican brother is Vice President of a company. I hold a class A cdl and own my own truck. So, tell me again how minorities have no opportunities in this country. My mexican father was drafted into Vietnam, got back to be called all kinds of nsmes– and still scratched his way through college and owned his own business.

Personal responsibility. That should be the first thing you teach your kids.

      Tell me about racism, gtfoh….

  3. Astounding that the Republicans claim VOTER fraud when they themselves tried every dirty trick in the book to try and supress the voters. No pity here folks.

    1. @Edmond Dantes how many extra days did it take for all those votes to come in? They could have started excepting mail in votes two weeks earlier than they did and notify everybody how much time they had to do it in. Instead it was a free for all and testimonies of blank envelopes of the mail in variety. It’s garbage. They should just give each state 1 vote in line with the constitution and settle it that way if litigations continue through Jan 12th. Throw away the dominion machines and use American systems for scanning in the future that have uneditable batch files. An administrator of the system should not have the ability to change a single vote in the system yet the Dominion owners manual gives instructions on how to do it.

    2. @Jerry Carnes but but you don’t have too go to any red state and you can be an opioid meth crack fentanyl bum and live off the government teet

    3. @Jerry Carnes If you think they’re being so genuine, why are they only contesting the instances that happened where tRUMP lost? Because some of the states that Biden lost had those same rules in effect, yet tRUMP doesn’t seem to mind that. Also, if you truly are military, the fact that Texas tried to sue ANY other state over how they run their elections should anger you. Constitution and all… the fact that the “president” and as many tRUMPian republicans joined it is just mind boggling. But tRUMP has also previously claimed he has “Absolute Authority”. He’s buddied up to dictators like Un, Dutuerte, Putin, and Xi. He’s called them all “great guys” at one point or another. He’s sided with foreign governments over our own intelligence agencies, he brought Un onto the world stage and validated him as a world leader(and got nothing in return), he’s tweeted about ongoing investigations(obstructed justice) on multiple occasions. Why do his supporters defend him so vigorously? Patriotism is allegiance to the Country, not it’s leader. Democrat or Republican they’re only temporary. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

  4. After the four years trump had in office, the guy still voted for him.
He’s part of the problem, not the solution.

    1. Good riddance! Don’t need people like him, he just going to poison Biden administration some more if he stays. I’m glad.

    1. Or when then-candidate Trump called for travel restrictions based on religious beliefs.

“Donald J Trump is calling for a complete and total shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until this nation’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.” ~ Donald Trump, Dec 2015

    2. Not enough people abandoned….that should have been an absolute deal breaker. But too many people were mad about the black president so they signed up for this mess. Punks!

  5. and he still tries to “both sides” the argument as though there is any type of equivalency between the two any more at all.

  6. Where was his ‘courage’ when children were being pulled from a mother’s arms and put into cages? Too little too late.

    1. @Salesad Mieze Obama didn’t separate parents from children. He deported, yes, and he had his faults. But he didn’t do this insane cruel immoral ungodly ACT. SHAME ON YOU for backing Trump over Obama.

    2. I ask a question similar to that. Where is the left when babies are ripped limb from limb from their mother’s womb? Another good question is: why does the left try to get on moral high ground when it comes to children’s well being? You think you’re fooling anyone?

    3. Russian kid’s are ok but separating migrant kid’s from their mother’s and then to loose them in the process is what senator?

  7. Headline should’ve read: Republican finds some backbone and balls, to speak out after 4 years of silence, and being complicit.

    1. @Cropper Copper better late than never. Other republicans will give him hell. So yes courageous for admiring his change of heart and making being know. We need more like him so I commend him.

    2. @Khal Hina Doubtful any “change of heart” took place.. Many of these old white geezers are getting concerned about their “legacy” and fear being forged in history books as part of trumps “Neo Klan” rabble and sycophants.. Not a good look for them and reflects poorly on their family as well..

  8. He didn’t foresee this coming and went ahead voted for DJT? Give me a break. An ordinary citizen like me could foresee this!

    1. Right, Trump is the same. After the 2016 election Trump claimed widespread voter fraud and provided no evidence. Now when Trump does it again in 2020 Mitchell says oh, I’m going to leave the party now because of Trump.

Mitchell does not have principles. He rode the Trump horse for years to get what he wamted. Now at the last minute he claims he’s not on board with unfounded conspiracy theories ??

    2. He wants Putin style elections where there can only be one outcome and that’s him being the president every 4 years

    3. @ross. Rainwater I will so gladly but first I want you to tell me what’s so bad about socialism. In fact I want you to actually define it and then I’ll tell you… ya that’s what I thought troll.

    1. That may be true. But he is saying something. And that is going to be logged. He may not solve the whole problem but he is still part of the solution.
It’s not like there is NO RISK with what’s he’s doing. There is still a risk.

    1. To keep your eyes on him as a so-called independent.
      He says it himself.
      He voted for him twice.
Vote 94-95% of the time in his leadership role.
So he can’t be trusted too.

  9. Sure, he has enough now when Trump’s BS affects HIS state.
As far as I’m concerned, he brought this on himself.

    1. Okima Wilcox , please go to. SPIRO SKOURAS. Get truth on Covid… Bless all TRUTHSEEKERS. Also. X22report.. Brilliant !

    2. @ross. Rainwater Is your shitty link more reputable than the entire global health community? People who are schooled in medicine for decades? Lmao
