  1. If Senate GOPsters didn’t have the jurisdiction to convict,
they as surely didn’t have the jurisdiction to acquit.

    1. That’s what I’ve been saying too!
The senators who don’t think this impeachment trial is constitutional shouldn’t vote. That would make them hypocrites. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    2. I would like to agree with this, but I don’t think it is valid legally. There are many reasons why, but mostly jurisdiction to convict or acquit rest on different criteria.

  2. 43 Republican Senators gave comfort to an enemy of the state.

The majority of the House, and the majority of the Senate, are on record, in vote, saying that Trump assaulted the US Capital, and Congress.

    1. and rather bizarrely, right after the verdict McConnell said Trump was “practically and morally responsible” for the attack…..but apparently not impeachable?

    1. It has nothing to do with spine its call holding onto their place in government in their states if they voted against Trump they would be kissing their senate seat goodbye 100% by not voting against trump their state would have to turn democrat completely.

    2. @Bandi Saleh I’m not, dickhead. In any case, Trump’s the biggest LOSER. He lost the elections, lost the Senate and lost the House. And all his supporters are the biggest Losers too, the insurrection will see them all doing jail time.

    3. @Anthony Bane , that would be having a spine, some backbone, the balls to stand on their own two feet and admit when something is wrong.

  3. Rep Plaskett is such a down-to-earth intellectual, eloquent, nice and a beautiful, and always elegant lady. What a refreshing, honest, and straightforward representative. Thank you Rep Plaskett for giving us hope that reasonable people populate a considerable amount of the House.

    1. Rep plaskett need to take Nancy place because I never trust Nancy and ya’ll have to tell me the democrats didn’t bring no witnesses just like the the republican did in the first impeachment

  4. Trump, January 6: “All Vice President Mike Pence has to do, is violate the Constitution, and overturn our democracy, and “WE” become president again, and you are the happiest people.”

Trump’s cheering MAGAcultists reply with a frenzied applause.

DT sat in the White House, and watched the vio.lence that unfolded on our nation’s Capitol for at least two whole hours, without doing anything, and without saying a word, other than to blast his own Vice President, who eventually had to flee for his life from the Capitol.

Watching his followers storm the Capitol while wearing his hats and waving flags emblazoned with his name, was the greatest day of DT’s presidency. He has never felt more like the dictator he’s always wanted to be than he did on that day.

The truth of the matter is, if he had not filled his followers heads with lies for months, and if he had not held that rally, where he instructed his followers to march to the Capitol and fight like he// in order to “stop the steal” the insurrection never would have happened. Because without the use of vio.lence, how else were they going to stop the so called steal?

The problem with DT’s lawyer’s argument, is that there was literally nothing left to fight for, because the election was over. The only thing that remained was for Pence to count and certify the electoral votes. So the only thing they could’ve been fighting for, was to bring a stop to the counting of the electoral votes, which would officially certify Biden as the next democratically elected president.
And vio.lence was the only option they had left. DT had already exhausted every other legal and illegal option. So on January 6, the vio.lence card was the only card he had left, and he played it.

  5. “Ubi solitudinem faciunt pacem appellant means ‘Where they create disillusion, they call it peace.
Republican party will not survive with Trump at the helm. They should understand Americans are beyond thuggery in government

  6. I am sick about them talking about the witnesses, instead of just THANKING THESE PEOPLE FOR DOING AN AMAZING JOB, KNOWING WHAT THE OUT COME WOULD BE. It didn’t matter what they did.

  7. Would it have mattered if the impeachment managers bought in Witnesses? those cowardly and spineless senator Republicans were going to acquit anyway.

  8. Impeachment managers were awesome.
Trump could have walked in and shot someone and most of the GOP would still have acquitted him.

  9. Rep. PLASKETT DID A FANTASTIC JOB. WATCHED THE WHOLE THING FROM SWISS. PITY COWARD REPUBLICANS AQUITED A CRIMINAL WHO IS GONNA DISAPPOINT THEM. SO SAD.

  10. We all witnessed what happen I don’t know why people think that would of made a difference Republicans made there mind up already
