Rep. Schiff: ‘There Ought To Be A Personal Consequence’ For Saudi Crown Prince Over Khashoggi

Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) joins Andrea Mitchell ahead of the release of the ODNI’s report on the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. “And if, as you say, there's a finding of culpability on the part of the crown prince, then it won't be enough to simply sanction the state or call for the sanctions of other individuals. There ought to be a personal consequence to the crown prince,” he said. Aired on 02/26/2021.

    1. Vlad … you already tried colluding with Trump to get him to win the 2016 election. You need to stop your involvement in American politics and settle down.

  1. The personal consequence should be that your country stops supporting his family that has ruled by force and tyranny since the countries inception in the 1920’s.

    1. @zencat999 As you noticed, Biden talked to the KING, not the prince. The power and control is in the Ruler, not one of his underlings. If your kid gets in trouble with the principle or police, the principal and police contacts the parents.

    2. @Hankakah You don’t seem to have much knowledge on the situation. The King, is pretty much as good as dead, he is mentally incapacitated with dementia.

MBS is the crown prince and has the responsibilities and duties of the king.

    3. @Hankakah Like I said previously, you don’t have much knowledge about this situation.

MBS – has forced the King away from his wife, he forces them to be separate, the king has Alzheimer’s. The crown Prince now runs the country, until the kings inevitable death. Once again, the king has Alzheimer’s.

    1. @Bob Heck
      What makes no sense?
Saudi Arabia is a terrible country and this is not news.
Everyone knew it that knows about Saudi

    1. Investigate Quid Pro Joe. Anyone that is in a government office and ends up a millionaire and so does his son and brother should be investigated.

    2. @R Torres Yes, “the “idea”, your “idea”, “that the King told Biden not to go after the Prince is a joke”, is the joke. Nowhere in the statement does it suggest or say that “the King told Biden not to go after the Prince”. You did. A joke. I fact checked this. Your still full of 🐂💩

    1. @Sam Tenuto wrong on those accusations bra! I have a full head of hair I’m 167 pretty lean work out quite a bit and I’m about 8 in long LOL 😆

    2. @Sam Tenuto Again did not Hilary solicit funds for her nonprofit when the Saudis were murdering and starving children in Yemen? I’ll give you a hint- somebody donated ten million dollars to a certain foundation to help build a certain presidential library. Look I’m not saying whether this is good or bad…but it most certainly happened.

    3. @michardav why is that a problem. Obama reagan. Bush I bush ll. Solicited for funding if their libraries. Only a problem when the evil Hillary does it . This hillary stuff is really old . Pathetic is it not.

    4. @Fred Garvin Unfortunately we also have the Trump administration that did even more than the Obama’s.. Sad all the way around.. 😞

  2. Jamal Khashoggi was an American citizen and resident of this country yet CadetBonespurs did nothing to defend him!

    1. I don’t think it should matter. Our intel has audio of his murder, they started dismemberment while he was living. Do we really want to be friends with this crowd.

    2. He wasn’t yet, but his wife & children were. They must be completely traumatized, yet 45 never uttered a word of condolence to them, much less a promise of any attempt at justice.

  3. you can’t sit there and say America needs to pioneer human rights when America won’t hold it’s former president accountable for the murders committed on US soil, at it’s capital, on January 6th. What a joke.

    1. Lets not forget accountability for about a half million US covid deaths… we need a criminal investigation.

    2. @Insignificant360
      You are so dumb.
Saudia Arabia did it. It’s in the Quran Surah 9:29 and Surah 5:33.
      Look them up.

Over the past four years, President Trump and his administration:

Enacted the largest tax cuts and reforms in American history by signing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law, cutting $1,100,000,000.00 in taxes over the next decade if reelected.

Set and broke record highs of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and NASDAQ, resulting in the U.S. economy growing a record 33.1% in the last quarter even in the pandemic.

Withdrew from the job-and-trade-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and NAFTA, replacing it with the new U.S.-Canada-Mexico Trade Agreement. Brought back manufacturing industry to the U.S. and increased “Made in the U.S.A” production while securing access to new markets for America’s farmers. Also withdrew from the job-killing Paris climate agreement, which would have cost the U.S. nearly $3 trillion and led to 6.5 million fewer industrial sector jobs by 2040.

Stopped the insane vassal-lord dysfunctional and lopsided China-U.S. relationship, confronting China’s unfair trade practices after years of Washington looking the other way, including forced technology transfers, unfair licensing practices and intellectual property theft.

Reached record low unemployment rates for African-American, Hispanic and Asian-Americans prior to the pandemic and returning now to the policies to resurrect them.

Signed an executive order to expand school choice for Hispanic students and others. Secured record and permanent funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The Trump administration and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos have been strong proponents of school choice, pushing policies that would favor charter schools and vouchers.

Improved U.S. health care: Eliminated health insurance tax, medical devices tax, Cadillac tax, largest decrease of prescription drug costs in a half century, signed the most comprehensive childhood cancer legislation ever into law, which will advance childhood cancer research and improve treatments. Enacted changes to the Medicare 340B program, saving seniors an estimated $320 million on drugs in 2018 alone.

Signed groundbreaking Criminal Justice Reform. Bolstered and supported law enforcement agencies across the country, including creating an interagency task force working around the clock to quell riots and prevent human trafficking, prosecute traffickers and prevent human trafficking, which resulted in rescuing hundreds of children and arresting hundreds of human traffickers.

Secured and protected the U.S. Constitution: Utilized executive privilege and legislative assistance to further secure religious freedoms as well as rights of the Unborn with unprecedented presidential passion. Rated by Heritage Foundation as one of the greatest presidential advocates of our Second Amendment rights.

Built and bolstered roughly 400 miles of new border wall at the U.S. southern border, fighting to stop the scourge of illegal drugs, contraband and criminal crossings (like MS-13 – illegal crossings have been reduced by a staggering 78%).

Appointed three amazing and scholarly justices to the U.S. Supreme Court who will serve and aid our country for decades to come: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. Confirmed more than 220 federal judges who interpret the Constitution as written.

Chaired meeting of the 73rd General Session of the United Nations discussing the worldwide drug problem with international leaders, and signed the Initiative to Stop Opioid Abuse and Reduce Drug Supply and Demand, introducing new measures to keep dangerous drugs out of our communities, including $6 billion in new funding to fight the opioid epidemic in our communities and at our borders. (Drug overdose deaths were down in 2018 for the first time in 30 years.)

Built up and bolstering all U.S. military branches around the world and defeating ISIS and other extremists, killing ISIS leader al Baghdadi, Qassem Soleimani, Hamza bin Laden, Qassim al-Rimi, and freeing from captivity more than a dozen American hostages from all over the world. Launched U.S. Space Force as a new branch of the military and relaunched the National Space Council.

Built up and bolstered America’s standing and strength in the International Community: Withdrew from shady Iran nuclear deal, moved the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, initiated Israel-UAE (and other surrounding nations) accord, providing more stability and commerce  in the Middle East. Conducted historic summit with North Korean President Kim Jong-un, bringing beginnings of peace and denuclearization to the Korean Peninsula. Held the Cuban regime accountable for political oppression and human rights abuses.

Signed the VA Accountability Act, VA Choice and expanded VA telehealth services, improving walk-in-clinics, and same-day urgent primary and mental health care, and strengthening protections for individuals who come forward and identify programs occurring within the VA. Provided $86.5 billion in funding for the VA, which is the agency’s largest dollar amount in history.

Whether or not we accept it, it’s the truth: Trump has done more in 47 months then Joe Biden did in 47 years as a senator and vice president. With 47 years of attempts, hasn’t Biden been given enough time to clean and change the D.C. swamp? 47 years? Time’s up!

BTW, Election was Stolen in a Coup by Democrats.

    1. @Laurie VanCurler Yeah, ,my allegiance goes towards people who don’t lie and spread hate/negativity. Kamra is beautiful, and this summer, karma will hit all those antifa/blm peeps causing chaos. Can’t wait!

    2. @Mike Ditka — Oh, boy! Is this another thing like “the Hollywood celebs are going to be indicted en masse any day now” or “the Durham report is going to be devastating, just wait and see” or “the storm will be coming in January” or “just wait for March 4th, something will happen then, really truly, this time time we mean it”? I’ve been holding my breath for all of these spectacular events so long I’m turning blue!

    1. I wondered about that because I don’t know much about the King at all. I wondered if he was also this type or was he a better person that wouldn’t do this..

  4. There should have been consequences along time ago but guess what, money and control over others blockades justice.

    1. S.A. follows Surah 4:34, 9:29, and 5:33.

You think that Trump had anything to do with the journalist’s death?

    2. You know, there were investigations for years that lead to no evidence of wrong doing?

I guess not. You should look into it so you don’t make statements like this to the world.

  5. So if it is illegal to not show this type of document ,why isn’t anyone in the Trump regime being held responsible for not following the law ?????

    1. Do you allow yourself to be duped into believing all the stories, that turn out to be false, or do you not know you are?

  6. There’d be ‘personal consequences for Khashoggi’s death if Trump and Mnuchin weren’t making so much money! Hmm?

    1. Saudi Arabia executes women for adultery (true or false) and throws LGBT+ people off roofs….and you support them over Trump

  7. Anyone who doesn’t believe trump & family made millions on secret arms deal with Saudi Arabia is a fool.!!
