  1. Hopefully everyone in that building are ok, I cannot imagine getting woken up with such devastation.

    2. @Juanita anderson what does that have to do with those poor people in the building ?c’mon .what happened to us. Even a disaster can’t bring us together?

    3. A jumbo jet goes down with 287 people on board. Golly. I hope everyone on the plane are ok! 🤦‍♂️

  2. And just yesterday a bridge collapsed on a highway in D.C.. That’s America’s infrastructure

    1. Republicans have neglected our infrastructure! Obama tried to to pass the American Jobs Act which would have created millions of good paying Union jobs to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure. Moscow Mitch blocked! Trump promised infrastructure jobs what happened? Moscow Mitch blocked it! Now the republicans wants to block Biden’s infrastructure jobs Bill? Republicans are not problem solvers but only problem creators!

    1. Each QTGOP duh-publican is responsible for their own vote or failure of support. If they refuse to do what they were hired to do they need to be fired.Whiny Mutch McKernal is a diabolical obstructionist serving his own dark money and corporate interests not constituents of KY or anywhere else.

    1. @Deanna Delmar don’t be sad for me. I’m not the one throwing my life away talking to imaginary friends in the sky. You see, I’m better than you. I don’t need a God to threaten me in order to act like a civilized human being. You need to be threatened with eternal damnation. I am better than you. Sad😪

    2. @Deanna Delmar yes! Because we know how much prayer has worked in the past because there is no more murder no more war no more abortion etc. etc. here is your “ participation” 🥇 award. 😎

    1. @Big_Brother_watch this building was built 40 years ago and fronts the sea. Sea air erodes foundations/materials faster than an inland building

    2. @D ML Yes, it was built 40 years ago, who needs refubrishment or infrastructures as long as one has individual freedom.

    3. @Big_Brother_watch there is a required 40 year inspection required of all buildings in Miami Dade County but for a building fronting the sea that time period is too long

    4. @D ML Who cares about inspection? Dont you know that it stifles entrepreneurs. Regulations and all redtape must be removed for ‘Capitalism’ to prosper.

  3. I thought these things could only happen to a third world country; seriously, with all the building codes, the regulations, and the authorities. Happens sans earthquake.

    1. @t Is it? It had been quite awhile since I last visited Florida. I mean really visited, not just passing through the Miami airport.

    2. @Carol Mello I’m exaggerating really, but being from Boston, then moving to Jamaica west indies and eventually to FL, I see similar lack of regulation and levels of corruption more similar to Jamaica . Too much to explain in text.

  4. Florida infrastructure. Maybe desantis should stop signing bills policing thought in schools like literal 1984 and get on this?

    1. @flipnotrab bro please read!! My comments are about deregulation ! Can’t people read these days ?? Jesus

    2. @Alan aka FANG Because you Trump loving Republicans don’t want infra spending and policies so this has to be a political discussion.

    4. @cl lc find another high rise building collapse in USA within the last year. Ten years.. Keep going….

    5. Odd comparison considering our modern school system is basically strait out of 1984. Pure propaganda.

    1. @HemiHead664 Republicans strongly support removing government regulations, we’ve all heard them say it over and over. Who needs clean water, Frack Baby, Frack!!!

    2. @HemiHead664 not disagreeing with you, but kickbacks aren’t limited to just one party. There are democrats in Florida as well as republicans. If your statement is true it’s about human greed and neglect.

    3. @Alan aka FANG I’m sorry you feel that way.

Race Card Shaming never works on me. I just present the fact. Your fight is with facts, not me friend.

  5. 40+ year old condominiums, under major repairs and structural remodeling while heavily occupied. Sink holes open suddenly all over this part of Florida.

    1. Oh, was it being remodeled while occupied? That sounds, um, not safe. Do you know exactly what was being done in the building? Sounds like supporting structure was damaged somehow, the basic frame work of the building.

  6. I pray for the poor souls trapped that can’t even get to their loved ones in the next room. I also pray that the devastation stops here – and doesn’t eventually bring the whole building and adjacent buildings down. I pray for the 1st responders’ safety too. Dear Lord, Miami needs some miracles today.

  7. Voting yes for the infrastructure spending bill would be a win for the country, the people, and both parties. You would think that the republican party would jump at the chance to take a win after the loses they just took. But NO!!! Republicans are so petty that they’ll turndown a win even when it’s offered to them on a silver platter.

    1. Duh-publicans want a full stop on any protective regulations… claiming they pose unnecessary restrictions and overhead expenses for corporations.

    2. I agree an infrastructure spending bill is a great idea, *however it’s not* just an infrastructure spending bill. Congressional bills are just like business contracts. You better read the fine print so that you know what you’re signing. Congressional bills are so filled up with garbage (from both parties) that a 5 trillion dollar infrastructure bill magically becomes 10 trillion dollars. And that’s the estimated cost before any construction begins.

  8. They were just starting their 40 year inspection. Buildings like this should be inspected every 5 years… Salt water erode buildings much faster. Collapsing in the middle of the night… I can’t imagine the fear.

  9. I’m sure Desantis will find a way to blame Joe Biden and AOC and every other democrat he can think of!
