    1. Yes, but a small number of people wanted to get rich no matter the consequences, and that’s all the authorities care about in America today.

    1. @Impeach Drumpf yes, you’re right..when someone is obviously closed minded and refuses to see themselves other than objective while, at the same time insulting, I will respond accordingly..I don’t fail to see it..I will certainly not lay down and take undeserved garbage thrown in my direction..

    2. @Impeach Drumpf what is sad is you condone the behavior..why? Because they fall on your side of the political fence? It is one thing to have solidarity and another to side with stupidity..

  1. And, in other breaking headline news, “Trump is corrupt” “Pandas are cute” “Obama is aloof” and “Water is wet”…

  2. Just looking at the title, my first response was, “Well, DUH!!!”
Now I have to watch the video and see if they say how much this research cost and what good, if any, may come from it.
Next up: “Research Suggests that Humans Need Food”

  3. i (in iphone, ipod, imac, etc. etc. ) in my mind has always meant ISOLATION. Adults have to deal with these folks who’ve been raised with a phone in their hand, in their crib, and with a phone used as a way of placating bad behaviour. I don’t want to socialize people who should have been raised correctly to begin with.

  4. Keep your children occupied with sports/family activities, outdoor events where the internet less available.

    1. This takes a focus and dedication that the modern working world makes difficult, unless one has a career that pays well without requiring too much stress and allowing for adequate free-time. Keeping “children occupied with sports/family activities, [and] outdoor events, obviating the need for wired connections, was much easier when such activities and events were the norm and work factored in the requisite time for them.

  5. These tech giants sound exactly like the Tobacco execs who knew their product was unhealthy, but chose the profits from selling their unhealthy product over the health of the consumer.

    1. Exactly. The Mercury Sun (of San Jose, CA) and one other entertainment weekly in the Bay Area both reported on how the tech elites raise their own children and guess where they send their own kids…Waldorf Schools and Montessori Schools that strictly limit students access to tech and media…even at home. When asked why by the reporters they all said something similar to “I don’t want my kids to loose their love of learning” or “I don’t want my kids to loose their creativity.” They know very well how damaging their apps, and platforms, and devices are especially to children, teens, and young adults, …and they should be held accountable in the same way as a drug dealer.

  6. It’s a double edged sword that you can’t control, we’ll just have to evolve to cope with it because in no way can you just stop it now.

The Durham Investigation has gone into overdrive. You can hear the Democrats freaking out on all channels – AM talk Radio, TV, and on Social Media now.

  7. Is it me or does it seem like Mika is getting more time to speak without getting interrupted? If so, yay!!!

  8. I have been saying for years that this whole social media thing is going to run its course. It’s too counter to the way humans — or any animal — are meant to naturally interact. And there’s SO much of it. We reached our tipping point as humans when email became mainstream. Because at that time we had email, we had traditional mail, we had landlines and we had mobile phones as means to interact with one another. And every once in a while somebody would get a telegraph for their birthday. Now it’s all that, minus the telegraph, plus all these different social media outlets AND we still have texting. We have every way to get in touch with each other that we can allow some overlord to monetize and then we complain when that overlord has too much control. They have the control that we gave them. Willingly. And in the name of convenience. Make yourself a little harder to get in contact with. For both the sake of your mental well being and that of the human race. Sorry for the novel.

  9. MSNBC: Andrew Yang dropped out, we can report on this now.

Glad this is getting more attention but you’re pretty late.
