Remember when they told you in school that America was the great Melting Pot where people came together to form the nation which is our country I wonder if it’s just become a lie in modern-day or is it always been a falsehood

    • The original Americans have been wondering that since the Europeans invaded and occupied their land and committed genocide

    • Great mating pot, BUT…Republicans remain racist.

@birdlynn every single time America has had a push for equality there’s been an equal opposite push against equality be at the clan or Jim Crow the filibuster all things made to push back against equal rights and equal treatment America’s great country worth fighting for and making better for everyone not just a certain group of people lacking pigment

Idk let’s call up the authors of those history book and ask them what kind of crack have they been smoking

  2. If you take him at his word (and feel bad for him having a “bad day” 🙄), he did it because of his fantasies over asian women. Not women. Asian women.
So tell me exactly, how you can say “race wasn’t an issue,” when he literally drove 45 minutes solely to find more – and I can’t stress this enough – ASIAN WOMEN to murder.

    • Exactly. That was a long way to drive and a very specific destination. Spot on.

    • He killed two white women.

I have never seen a criminal confession and say why he did something and then people turn around and say “No, that is not why you did that”, “you did it because of why we think you did it.” It has to be racial because that is all everyone can talk about nowadays. Sometimes things are just as they seem.

    • I agree but I also think he was going to the parlors that he had visited before. We also can’t deny that most massage parlors and businesses are run and staffed by Asian women.

Thank you for covering this… Asian women deserve a voice, they contribute so much to this country. Hyper sexualization can be extremely dangerous

ALL groups of non white women built this country to. As much as any white American. The stereotypes of Asian women are sick. False and dangerous. And so are stereotypes of all minority women. Attacking the elderly is absolutely horrifying. We should ALL be outraged. But as an Asian- African American woman, I have been telling my Asian friends and family that America does not value them. And they didn’t believe me. And many Asians have also stereotyped Black Americans, and Vice versa. If we want this insanity to stop, we need to start with ourselves and stop vilifying each other. Let’s be real, America has always looked at ethnic minorities as under par no matter how much we excel. That’s a fact. Black Americans have been protesting and speaking out for centuries. It’s time we unite as Americans who happen to be of color and Demand these attacks up Stop.

    • This is just more feminist bigotry towards male sexuality. Almost all these attacks have been against ELDERS and you really think they are based on “hyper-sexualization”? Sexual arousal in the male brain releases oxytocin, a neurotransmitter specifically meant for dealing with sentient beings. It’s essentially the brain’s “empathy juice.” There is, objectively speaking, no time a man sees you as less of an object than when he is aroused by you.

    • Id eat that 😻 like shrimp fried rice

    • @EX en what a stupid COMMENT

How many white women did this murderer drive passed before killing innocent women at work? This is a HATE CRIME against women. As a Black woman I know this familiar feeling among our Asian friends. Stop attacking women and the elderly.

  7. Fetishizing someone before killing them doesn’t make it any less hateful. It just means the psycho can’t disseminate his feelings. *That* doesn’t make those muddled feelings any more normal, or reasonable. In fact, and in this circumstance, they add to the construct that is premeditation 🙁

Objectifying women’s bodies also leads to idolatry. Plenty of people make idols out of each other but don’t become violent. There is more to it than that, I think. Something makes a person so angry that after a while they act on violent impulses. That is probably something personal.

I am having a bad day… BUT I haven’t even for a moment thought of going out there & massacring innocent ppl! Disgusting!

    • Correct, as do millions of normal people. Good thing is these lunatics are in super small numbers compared with the overall population.

Whereas it is an expected to feel alone, Asians are not. People of color, of every color, certainly understand via their own experiences.
