Robots serve up high-tech dining experience in Pennsylvania nursing home | USA TODAY

Wesley Enhanced Living Doylestown recently introduced robots to work alongside dining room employees in response to latest staffing shortage issues and to bring back community dining after COVID.

  5. My Mom was in Assisted Living for ten years and the Dining room servers were some of her favorite people. Replacing human beings with robots for an already hurting and lonely elderly population who rely on human touch to survive and thrive may not be the best idea.

    1. But the robot here is moving the food from the kitchen to the dining area. It actually gives the waitress more time to chat with the elderly as the waitress doesn’t have to run back and forth.
