Every time i wanted out of jury duty i would talk extreme easy way out Guardsman .
I tell them my mom was an Internal Affairs lawyer with the LAPD for 20 years. Prosecutors love me. But defense lawyers can’t hurry me out the door fast enough. Also, knowing most of the judges by first names also helps. Hey Judge Smith? Drinks Thursday? See you then!

Remember that major police departments have internal affairs divisions and the military has it’s own Provost Marshals and penitentiary. There is a good reason for this.
