    1. @marcananmh why do people from europe come to america to get cancer treatment, surgeries so frequently? we have tourists too probably for cheap plastic surgery a lot but if you think you’ll get better cancer treatment, heart or brain surgery somewhere else than america you’re dreaming. you know very little about the level of quality available in cancer treatments in america vs europe. its hard to blame you since theres much misinformation out there, but have you ever been to the doctor in america vs. other developed nations? You’ll notice that american hospitals treat you faster, give you more options, are cleaner, tidier and more organized. it’s legitimately hard to get heart surgery or find good treatment options for many cancers in even UK, Germany.

“the proportion of middle-aged Canadian women who have never had a mammogram is twice the U.S. rate.
Three times as many Canadian women have never had a pap smear.
Fewer than 20% of Canadian men have ever been tested for prostate cancer, compared with about 50% of U.S. men.
Only 10% of adult Canadians have ever had a colonoscopy, compared with 30% of US adults.” these stats matter

    2. @Roxy DeJaneiro Republicans defund programs and then claim they’re not working. Lemmings must be lead to the sea.

    3. @marcananmh and your point about insulin, ok so they get cheaper drugs and we have better access to doctors, better clinics, better technology, better results, best surgeries and treatments available…like i’ll take your point, but thats pretty small potatoes compared to the advantages.

      https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-195277/NHS-death-rates-times-higher-US.html

      pretty dramatic disparity there, eh?

      https://www.patheos.com/blogs/dispatches/2018/10/15/study-45000-deaths-per-year-due-to-lack-of-health-insurance/

ive seen lower estimates, like 26k but if you take the higher one it seems quite staggering, but lets look at other factors like accidental deaths

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2016/05/03/researchers-medical-errors-now-third-leading-cause-of-death-in-united-states/
      https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/kathleen-finlay/medical-error-deaths_b_8350324.html

so if we look at accidental deaths in the hospital canada has 30-60k a year, us has 251k–US also has nearly 10x the population of canada, so if its on the low end of the canadian its just about proportional, but it’d be significantly higher in canada if you look at higher end of that range.

      https://www.fraserinstitute.org/article/while-politicians-dither-patients-die

look at canada’s deaths from waiting for care, estimated 25,000-65,000 women died in canada from 1993-2013, thats just women. another similar study found half of doctors in canada say waiting more than 6 months for a hip transplant in canada was normal, compared to no doctors in US. its hard to find total information on the waiting deaths, but this a big problem in canada, coupled with accidental deaths, and also the lower cancer survival rates there compared to US, although the difference is more dramatic from US to Europe. but waiting deaths aren’t calculated into the healthcare assessments i believe, which seems like a serious systematic error that is likely to bias against the us in most of these rankings, just like the infant mortality rate calculation. canada doesn’t look so rosy to me, 1 out of 18 patients hurt in hospital, thousands dying waiting each year, more preventable deaths in the hospital, fewer options for cancer treatment, heart surgery? And of course its not really free, you just are forced to buy in.

  1. Why do these corporate news people never asked how we are gonna pay for all the wars/bailouts/subsidies to billionaires? Why?

    1. @Keith Rodgers They pay little tax because they reinvest their profits into new equipment, plants and jobs. Amazon pays little tax because their profits get reinvested into building new distribution centers and hiring thousands of workers at decent wages. Those are not loopholes that is the tax code and the way a capitalist economy works. If Amazon was paying taxes rather than reinvesting the monies they would be employing a lot less people than they do.

    2. @AUTONOMEN x There is no overblown concern but to the people who come here illegally no matter what race they are, that take American Jobs illegally, use our benefits and do not pay taxes into the system. But I guess if your a Bernie supporter you probably don’t pay any taxes any way.

  2. Please explain to me how is PRIVATE healthcare paid for…because last time I checked private healthcare is not free…It costs a lot…Also, please explain how ALL other developed countries (in Europe, Japan, Canada *I know Europe is not a country) pay for it…Please explain me how a latest Yale study demonstrated medicare for all saves $450bi a year…

    1. @2010realitycheck Keep drinking the Bernie Kool Aid. In Cuba if you speak out against the Government you are never heard from again. Stupid Moron.

    2. @2010realitycheck That also worked real well for Fidel whose own Doctors botched 3 operations on him almost killing him, a routine operation in the US with a very high success rate. Do a little research before you cite culturetrip.

  3. The bias of MSNBC on full display. The people can and will clip your wings as well your propaganda days are going to end.

    1. @calicorock free markets where the billionaires monopolizing the game making cost unreachable for anyone but them. Government was created to make sure the playing field is fair for all. Corporate billionaires have corrupted the fair and free markets.

    2. @James McCabe the reporters bias in the questions. He sounded like, I think you stink now tell me why you didn’t stink. Propaganda because of the MSNBC corporate elite bias.

    3. @calicorock Thanks Doc. Boy are we lucky we have a You Tube communicable disease specialist offering up analysis. In what way is the CDC impaired ….in this instance ….because of budget cuts?

    4. @Joe Shmo thats what the Dems said about the orange stain, Its the people voting now, not the Russians. Frumps base is shrinking by the day. you will be sad on the day.

  4. The line of questions and intent behind them is scandalous.

Sprinkled misinformation here, a dash of misdirection there – all to smear a candidate. #sad

    1. @Mars Falcon It’s almost like people think they know how politics work but they can’t even use basic thinking skills.

They need to ask themselves the “WHY”. WHY has Bernie only been able to pass 3 sponsored bills. WHY those bills. And WHY did his other bills fail to pass. You answer those question and eyes will open to the rank corruption and self-serving politicians in government. Quit listening to FAUX and MSDNC’s “facts-without-context” and regurgitating them without proper understanding.

    1. teferi456 I’ve heard several people from S. Carolina saying they’re seeing Bernie signs everywhere. But none for Biden.

    2. @Karen Skinner First they are all capitalism economies with social welfare programs. Second they were happy and successful decades before anyone even came up with the idea of socialism. You are using the success of a culture to sell socialism. How about Greece, it has the same basic social welfare programs of the Nordic countries. Why not use it as your example? Better yet how about comparing the people in the US with Nordic heritage against the current Nordic people?

    3. @Karen Skinner I will vote for Bernie, but the combined population of those four countries is half the population of the single state of California. Doing things that they do is MUCH easier in tiny countries. We have more people in Kansas City Missouri than Iceland. My point is just how can we scale up their plans to fit our HUGE country with vastly different demographics and geography? We have states lacking water, we have states with too much water, we have states that have 40 million people, we are just a vast country with many issues, cultures and ideals, not one single culture like those you mention. I just want to know HOW Bernie will pull this off. He needs to spell it all out to get a chance at this guy who is in charge now.

    1. MSNBC,CNN and the rest of our disgusting mainstream media are liars. If they were journalist then they would be covering the gross injustice of Assange extradition attempt by the U.S. government but they are not. He is facing 185 years for espionage 😂 He’s a foreign journalist! Nominated for Nobel Prize seven times and won journalism awards in Australia. Our government works against it’s own citizens, against.

    2. Socialism may be established by force, as in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics—or by vote, as in Nazi (National Socialist) Germany. The degree of socialization may be total, as in Russia—or partial, as in England. Theoretically, the differences are superficial; practically, they are only a matter of time. The basic principle, in all cases, is the same.

The alleged goals of socialism were: the abolition of poverty, the achievement of general prosperity, progress, peace and human brotherhood. The results have been a terrifying failure—terrifying, that is, if one’s motive is men’s welfare.

Instead of prosperity, socialism has brought economic paralysis and/or collapse to every country that tried it. The degree of socialization has been the degree of disaster. The consequences have varied accordingly.

    3. NDFOOTBALL so to combat this entirely we should keep our current system where thousands die because they can’t afford to keep themselves alive??

  5. And who else has released any and all med records ? Wth.. Talk about a BS talking point ,, at least his letters are from real Drs. Not dictated by himself

    1. Morgoth The First yes, right and corporations don’t operate in any European country, the U.K., Sweden, Finland, Australia, New Zealand or Canada who all have universal healthcare systems. The utter idiocy,

    2. @Alexander Canella The VA is funded through the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies (MILCON-VA) appropriations bill.

Your healthcare isn’t directly funded through tax payers. There is a board that gets to decide how much money VA healthcare gets. It’s the exact type of decision making private insurance companies run in circles with to save money for “other things” besides care and the quality of care.

    3. @Moira McCleary The Democratic Party is ripe for a Progressive take over. We got Bernie, we got people and we got momentum. Progressive Brain Thrust put your thinking caps on and let’s get this done.

    4. @Morgoth The First Number 1. If corporations leaves, someone will step in to fill the gap. Number 2. If corporations leaves, they will find out in a hurry they can’t cheat these other countries the way they cheated us. Number 3. If they leave, America will not buy anything they produce. They will lose a big market.

    5. @Heyo Han yes it is. Just like Medicare is even though it goes through the social security administration.

    1. IanHimself numerous studies have shown Medicare for all reduces costs, end of story. Whine all you want, but facts don’t care about your feelings.

    2. @Praxis The entire industry as a whole may cost less over all, but at a great cost to hard working Americans and the world. That’s because it will deliver far less than the current system. It will also destroy the technological advance in medicine for the world which is currently funded by American free enterprise. It also wont reduce my costs, or anyone else who makes reasonable life choices and investments. It is in fact just another way for the lazy to steal from the hard working honorable tax payers.

    3. @IanHimself would you like to see my tax returns? I’m not lying to you here I’m simply telling you how it is, with $18,200 tax free threshold, and the fact that we are allowed to deduct all vehicle expenses, a portion of our rent, power bill, phone bill, etc etc I’ve paid about $10,000 per year for about 4 years running, so whatever information you are using does not give you all the information.
The sad thing is how sure Americans are that health care for all is somehow a bad thing, when not a single country had ever gone back to a private paid system after incorporating government funded health care.
Just consider for a second if something like the police was paid for privately, so that you had to have protection insurance or pay for the police to come solve crimes, or settle disputes. That’s how ludicrous the idea of private health care sound to anyone in a developed country other than America, and ask yourself why your government can afford to spend trillions of dollars developing other countries, but can’t even help the sick of your own people.
You all have no problem paying for the imagined threat of invading forces, but when it comes to protecting you from illness or injury, all the sudden the outdated arguments come out to protect the profits of your insurance companies paying billions I’m lobbying.
Use some rational thinking and ask yourself why your country, who claims to be the best at everything, has a lower life expectancy than most other developed countries, while here in Australia we are 7th in the world. The only medical statistic US can claim, is most money per person spent on healthcare, twice as much as us (including what the government pays for us).
Don’t let cognitive bias control your mind, look rationally at the data and help your population

    4. @Ben Walker After all your deduction, due to your financial situation you paid %10. That’s a lot different than your original statement. The average person with an income of 100k pays far more.

    1. Can some one please explain to me how we are going to spend a minimum of 3 trillion dollars a year on Medicare for all when the government only spends 4 trillion dollars in total a year? I understand that this question is probably really ignorant but I keep seeing different answers everywhere and Bernie seems to be very vague on how this could actually happen. Please provide links and facts. I’m happy to change my mind on “socialism”.

  6. how many times in history has an industry been told that they’re about to lose a substantial amount of profit and just went along with it?

    1. bidmcms3 another low IQ right winger who’s bought into the lies of the health care industry. America’s health care system is an absolute disgrace and inferior to those of other developed countries. Maybe you should sit this one out and let the adults talk, you have no idea what you’re talking about

    2. Harold McKinny before you vote for someone/something that could massively derail the US economy and cause a world of hurt for millions of Americans, try to know what you’re doing. Trump has done nothing to negatively impact people’s lives (in a real/objective way) on the scale Bernie would. It would make the last 3 years look like a picnic.

    3. Nobody wants other people to go without health insurance, or to go bankrupt with medical bills. We want the same thing. But Medicaid for all (not to mention the other radical policies) would shock the system into a depression.

    4. Have you read the details about his plan to tax “Wall Street speculation”? Like everything else, he makes it sound like he’s just taking money from greedy rich people, but in reality it would have a huge negative impact on the middle class. People rely on their 401k for retirement. It’s everything. And that specific tax would hurt everyone (directly through a tax on every transaction! and indirectly through the wet blanket effect on investing across the board). Wtf people!!

  7. Mr. Melvin may be trying to be “tough,” but he is coming across as MEAN. This works against us accepting Melvin’s argument! Melvin seems quite biased here. Independent Voter for Life

    1. alternative account yes but not a majority. Bernies top proposed rate is 52% for anyone over 29k. That’s a majority

    2. @DINJA
The wealthy have spent trillions over the years helping the poor. It’s called job creation. Maybe you should try getting one, there are plenty of them out there. Capitalism has pulled billions out of poverty over the last 100 years. Get a clue, comrade.

    3. @Morgoth The First Their a lot of people helping the poor , don’t judge people on your own failures . Medicare for all is not just to help the poor is to help the middle-class. The poor just have to go without , the middle-class go bankrupt . 530,000 families go bankrupt a year in the US because of medical bills that could be you one day and all that work you have done all for nothing.

  8. This host is grotesque. Does he think he is doing his job, or does he *know* that he is doing his job?
Praise our corporate overlords, bow to the oligarchy, worship the money that buys and sells you peasants!
These folks do everything they can to make the Cheeto-in-Chief correct about the accuracy and worth of their ‘reporting’.
    Sad stuff.

    1. blessed is he who profits unto the CEO, profitable be HIS brand! Righteous and eternal are his profits! Gird ye 401k and insure ye loins, for the profitable one, blessed be his brand, forecloses upon his employees with wrath. Upon his enemies doth he call down margins! Behold the mighty CEO, and fear his brand!! MAY HIS PROFITS ENDURE FOREVER!!!

    2. One the main reasons why billionaires even exist in the United States is because the state signs contracts with them and gives them subsidies and tax breaks practically eliminating and form of competition to shrink their pockets but for some strange and dumb reason Bernie supporters blame the corporations and not the government that allowed and enabled them to become billionaires in the first place. Bernie supporters are like the anti vaxers of basic economics.

    3. Mars Falcon – “Cheeto in Chief” – brilliant my friend, I believe in civility, but the Cheeto has brought it all on himself by his own incessant name-calling !

  9. The MSNBC bias is hilarious here haha – the shock some of the hosts and guests on MSNBC have shown with Bernies recent dominance is brilliant to see.

    1. @Mars Falcon Like I said humans are capable of rationalizing anything, even socialism. I do think that the left is so far gone they will elect the old communist. They will burn down the entire house we all live in because of some silly guy that is only renting a room for a little while. People are nuts.

    1. @Joe Josef K joe we need to get out of the Middle East. I am for medicare-for-all. The establishment have had their way for too long it’s time for a major change in this country

    2. @Richard L. T. College is more of a gamble, where you start out in debt and a degree is no guarantee the gamble will pay off. On the other hand. How many generations do you think the U.S will hold control over the Iraqi government since its invasion?

    1. There are House Democrats in purple or reddish purple districts. They will lose with a socialist at the top of the ticket. With control of the House and Senate , Republicans will block everything Bernie does. Plus , there is the chance that Democrats could lose everything. Trump would have at least two years of a Republican controlled Congress. A moderate Democrat at the top of the ticket could help Democrats in reddish purple districts. Bernie is going to make things worse.
