    1. There’s gotta be a Tim Horton’s joke here, but I probably shouldn’t do it. I’m glad they caught the SOB.

    1. @Mike P well, at least we have universal care. If he will stab your back, just go to emergency room and they will fix you 😁

  1. Attend his court appearance, he’ll have evidence of “law enforcement persuasion”.
Even his own will turn on him once he’s incarcerated.

  2. Gosh and i thought i was a menace for smoking and drinking and not paying my traffic tickets. Only laws id like to break at the moment is stealing a bunch of beef and gas and beer. Why would anyone want to terrorize the community

    1. The families should sue the Parole board and the RCMP who failed to do their jobs. For three months he wandered among society. I suppose some even covered up for him …

  3. Members of parole boards, when this sort of thing results, should have to serve out the term of the monster they turned loose early.

    1. @Gost a history of violent crime is the most reliable predictor of violent crime, however since Myles Sanderson’s parole was revoked, the failure was of police to arrest him. There should be a inquerry into the RCMP, including the laws they are expected to enforce.

    1. Change the law that parole boards have to work with. >> He served 2/3rds of his sentence which made him eligible for supervised parole. I agree he shouldn’t have been released given his extensive criminal past, and it’s obvious supervised parole doesn’t work. He and many other’s have committed further crimes and murder while on supervised parole.
The supervised part needs to be looked at, it’s obviously insufficient.

  4. I agree with others saying the families should sue the parole board.

they failed all of them, the country and it cost way too many lives.

    1. @ACS Wu true, liability for misconduct should come out of retirement benefits or the wages of officers committing misconduct.

    2. Come on little trudeau jnr…..write a cheque. A billion should do it….booze and drugs ain’t cheap…..write the cheque jnr

  5. I bet if the members of the Parole Board who released him were among the victims, you’d see a tightening up in future.

  6. With 59 convictions, we were always in danger. How is everyone supposed to feel safe after what he did. None of this should have happened.

  7. How does any parole board rationalise 59 convictions as being lah de dah let him walk?? I’m not too interested in hearing any spin-speak on this one.

    1. There are 59 charges that he was convinced of, probably fewer incidents, and only a portion were violent crimes. He did, however, have a history of violent crime related to substance abuse. Parole might be reasonable if randomized drug testing was in place, along with maintaining employment and making regular apprwearances. When he failed to make appearances, his parole was revoked. However, the POLICE failed to arrest or even locate Sanderson since May. This suggests a need for more local policing, along with a better allocation of police resources.

    2. “How does this thing happen? Don’t tell me any actual answers, I only want responses that will confirm my priors”

    1. @Pat H I think there are many obvious reasons to oppose the death penalty. Given your statement appears designed to elicit a response you want to give, I’ll pass.
