Saved by a whale’s tail: Giant whale sculpture catches crashed Dutch metro train

A giant sculpture of whale tails caught the front of a Dutch commuter train as it crashed through the barriers at the end of a metro line, saving it from falling into the water below.

  1. It is said that a ” little tail ” is one of the strongest drivers of human emotion…….well, there it is in action….

    1. If it were my decision, ya I’d tell them to solidly weld the whole train to tie the whale tail to the station.

  2. Its now November, this may be the first positive story ive seen in 2020 , and it involves a train wreck!

    1. We don’t really do budget constraints but the actual funny part is that the name of the statue is “Saved by The Whale’s Tail”
