Poverty is a cause for concern!
The producer guy is not thinking about what he is saying. The society of Jamaica is in a deep hole poverty is not the only cause of it, the breakdown and break up of the homes and communities cause by we the people are to be blamed.

Mr. Producer, you really don’t know the powerful influence of music. If you are a moral person you wouldn’t Produce those songs. Greater attention needs to be paid to the employees in the call center who are selling people’s information to the scammers. Better I.T. security so that no one will be able to print nor email information out of the organization. A lot of people grew up in deeper poverty and didn’t steel. It’s all about a person’s values and mindset. If these scammers put the same amount of time, diligence and brain power into creating honest businesses, they would be of such great value to their families and the society. Some people don’t understand that participating in these things bring serious curses on their lives. The tears 😢 and pain of the victims will not be in vain. There will be a day of reckoning for those who sell the information and those who make the phone calls. It’s only a matter of time.

None of the chopping / scammer songs are telling you to be aware of scamming or scammers. All scammer songs are glorify chopping.

This is jus a pathetic attempt from tvj to blame music when the country presents lil to no opportunities for anyone much less young ppl to make a life from working. Fact is half these ppl singing abt chopping aint even chopping with a machete.
Glad to see this debate gaining traction in the national media and consciousness. Unfortunately, the leaders both ruling and opposition don’t see the urgency of dealing with the problem.

Nk matter how bad a product is, if you advertise it as being good, people will take on to it. Tell people what going on in society is different from promoting criminals. The adults in our society keep failing the youths, and that’s why our youths still smoke and drink so much. Our adults don’t tell youths the truth about their life experiences.
