  1. All I know is that the ‘known Universe’ is far, far greater than any possible imagination I could have.

  2. Next: Explain that a ‘Parsec’ is not a unit of time – That one is more often botched than the lightyear, not least thanks to one George Lucas (or whoever wrote the Kessel run anecdote) 😅

    1. It isn’t a mistake.

For the original Star Wars, Lucas attributed the speed of the Millennium Falcon to the fact that its navigation computer could calculate the shortest safest routes for hyperspace, hence the parsecs line.

The novels however retconned the line to mean that it was how close you could get to a black hole in the Kessel run, hence the distance.

  3. Bill Nye should save his breath trying to explain “light years” to a population that isn’t very bright.

  4. And I still can’t wrap my brain around just how fascinating this is!! Our universe is so vast & incomprehensible! 😍

    1. I mean I’m sure saying this over and over again all the years he has that it’s easy to misspeak a fact

  5. I think photons never move anywhere they are all present everywhere there may be some another enery or radiation which illuminate them in a particular direction.
