  1. Just because you are an actor or comedian doesn’t mean you are not also someone who cares about humanity or process integrity. In solidarity with the people of Ukraine, their President and those who value Democracy.

    1. @Booster Prime No country in the world is a democracy, as the democracy of our Masters only exists for themselves, where we the people elect one of the Masters democratically, whereas for the people itself there never has been any democracy.

    2. @Esther Haubensack So you prefer Dictatorship and Authoritarianism. Plenty of Countries you can move to.

  2. I can`t think of a single U.S. politician who would be on the front line if we were being invaded. I have great esteem for President Zelensky, and pray he survives for the sake of his people, and everything decent in this world.

    1. If you have a Ukrainian in your life and heart, then you know this courage is just who they are. They will fight to the last house and the last person, man or woman, to defend Ukraine. They also fervently believe they are fighting to defend a free Europe. They need our help and then we need to clean out the corruption. #WeCanAllBeZelensky

    2. @Александр Д Nothing says “I’m not a nazi!” like trying to kill a Jewish president and bombing a holocaust memorial.

    3. Zelensky will be fine. The West will keep him out of harm’s way. He’s an important puppet and poster boy for the propaganda campaign.

    4. My fellow Americans, Please Stand with Ukraine!
Please push your Senators and Congressmen to stop importing Russian oil into US! Please!

    1. @Audrone Sewell well your righting was not very clear and ther is nothing silly about it! All day long I read comments of why Russia is right and why ukraine is right. If your were speaking for a nation that wants it’s freedom and deserves it you would have probably spoke up but since your probably for the COMMUNIST then I could see why you piped down.

    2. @Hendrix Cody sounds like you wouldn’t know a communist if one bit you on the arse. Putin is a right wing authoritarian religious bigot

    3. I’m Ukrainian and I’m your 700th liker on your post. Thank you! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

    4. 9:25 Winter On Fire (2015) is now not only on Netflix, that company itself uploaded the film to YouTube on March 4th (2022) to make it available to everyone for viewing at no cost. It is DEFINITELY a film to be watched, and something that helps us gain a better understanding of Ukraine today.

  3. During Hurricane Katrina, Sean Penn took a small boat out and was helping to save ppl trapped in their homes. He’s awesome! A true humanitarian

    1. He was also hindering first responders and their rescue efforts. The rescue people I saw interviewed said he was causing problems and needed to get out of the way.

    2. @Dragon Lady “Use every man after his desserts and who should ‘scape whipping” – Shakespeare

    3. @nick mc Is Penn handing out millions to poor Ukraine people, or selling a future documentary, profiting from war misery?

    4. @Rich624 He’s a legend in his own mind! I don’t know what it must be like to spend a whole life and career pretending to be something that you’re not…..it must carry over into your personal life

    1. Mr. Penn certainly gets involved on a different level… it’s admirable how he acts in so many ways!

    2. @James Guy Photography
Ronald Reagan 40th President, Arnold Schwarzenegger 38th governor of California,
Donald Trump 45th President, trying to act as a human, but just a D grade actor.

    3. We all need to play a role for positive change in our community. It can start with volunteering.

  4. It’s very admirable to see Mr Penn go from the Hollywood tabloid persona of the 80s to becoming such a humble humanitarian. His tireless work to showcase the struggles of the human race is very impressive.

    1. Another layer, he’s a wicked sinner.
When was the last time he did anything for God

  5. I have a new respect for Sean Penn. His description about this tragedy is convincing and eloquent. President Zelensky is a hero and I hope he survives.

    1. You are dumb when Yemen is covered in blood, but you shed crocodile tears for Ukraine. Shame on hypocrisy

    2. Penn is helping promote the war interests of America and NATO. He knows Russia was provoked in to this conflict. The ridiculous pro Ukraine bias is easy for a seasoned actor like Penn to bolster. Either that or he’s totally ignorant about the complex geopolitics surrounding the situation in terms of the NATO provocation and the Minsk agreement.

  6. So much respect for what you are doing. It is beyond sadness see how a ukraine is being destroy. We should rally to help as much as we can.

    1. US, Saudi Arabia and its allies bleed Yemen, and famine and severe economic blockade .You are dumb when Yemen is covered in blood, but you shed crocodile tears for Ukraine. Shame on hypocrisy

  7. Agree with his views or not, the man is not just talk. One has to appreciate that he is out there and getting involved.

  8. Never took a liking to Sean Penn, until I saw him on a talk show. It was about his humanitarian help, but also about his kids. That changed me into loving what he do. This only confirm what a great work he doing for humanity.

    1. You should watch him in Carlitos Way he is great in it with Al Pacino. It’s my favorite movie.

    2. I’ve never watched his films but I can see he cares truly for Ukrainians and it’s not fake, you can see he really does. My family is Ukrainian and it’s amazing to see that the world does care. I didn’t think they would but was proven so wrong and I’m glad.

  9. Sean Penn is one tough dude, and he looks clearly disturbed, on the brink of tears. This is absolutely humbling and overwhelming. I feel his pain.

    1. Agree 100%. Also, thanks to him (9:25), I’ve now watched Winter On Fire (2015). Incredibly, is not only is it on Netflix, but now Netflix itself has uploaded the film to YouTube to make it available to everyone for viewing at no cost. It is DEFINITELY a film to be watched, and something that helps us gain a better understanding of Ukraine today.

  10. In 2008 Polish late president Lech Kaczyński said “Today Georgia, tomorrow Ukraine, the day after tomorrow – the Baltic States and later, perhaps, time will come for my country, Poland,” he was right.

    1. @Daniel smith hehehe, right🤣. Russia has been dealing with sanctions forever. They were actually very beneficial for Russians because they learnt to rely on their own supply of whatever they needed. They started producing things they used to import. Now. You realize what happens when you come to sell your apples to the market and find out there’s nobody there to buy them, right? Your apples rot and you get no money. That’s how the market works. Turkey is already crying over having no money to order food supplies for the coming season. Then goes gas. 80% of Austrian natural gas supply, for instance, comes from…where? Yes, from Russia. Banking investments, etc. The list goes on and on. Do the math. It will hit back everyone and pretty soon.

    2. Yup. Russia needs to reconquere these lands so the world goes back to having a power large enough to balance the US. Sad and disgusting that you folks need to pay for it.

    3. The very reason Finland, my ancestoral home and the ORIGINAL country to be in Ukraine’s position, is now moving toward NATO membership.

  11. What an open heartfelt interview. He is there for a reason for many of us, the human suffering, sacrifices and losses. Thank you

  12. My heart aches 💔 this situation is horrible so proud of Sean and what he is doing with his life

    1. 9:25 Winter On Fire (2015) is now not only on Netflix, that company itself uploaded the film to YouTube on March 4th (2022) to make it available to everyone for viewing at no cost. 13. We can see the horror on Mr Penn’s face and know he has experienced it. Thank you for what you’re doing to bring word to the world.

  14. Wow, what an interview. You can hear it in his voice how emotional this is for him. Say what you want about Sean Penn, but I have so much more respect for him now than I ever have. Stay safe Sean and all of Ukraine.

  15. This is a labor of love from this man Sean Penn he’s an activist you see the concern and passion in his face and voice.. Truly a real human and not a celebrity so much great respect for you
