  1. Perhaps Senator Paul thinks we should give Alaska back to Russia. On second thought that might not be a bad idea. Give it back and let them try to deal with Sarah Palin!

    2. @Lawlzinator “not defending Russia by any means” — you should have just stopped there. Because clearly you are.

    1. @Jeremiah Bell
More key words – purchased *from Russia.*
Canada didn’t sell Alaska to America…

  2. Rand Paul has a very hard time refraining from spewing *verbal vomit…* _just because he can._

Along with his fellow genius Moscow Mitch, if these are the best leaders Kentucky can find, well no wonder nobody is proud to be from there.

    1. No my friend , we should be able to discuss this situation from all perspective’s . We should look at it from all sides , then we can have a clearer understanding and reach a more informed conclusion .

    2. @GROWLEYMOLD man if we all lived with that crappy mindset Hitler might have been Supreme ruler of the world instead of dead right now. If you don’t have any useful input into a situation you also have the option of just shutting up but rand Paul can never seem to do that.

  3. He’s just arguing that they shouldn’t be admitted into NATO not justifying the invasion. His statement about Ukraine being a former Soviet country was just to say it’s justifiable that they have an interest there

  4. Rand, is trying to inform Blinky Blinken that nobody is considering how much Russia sees themselves as being backed into a percarious corner, and how deadly doing this is with the most deadly nuclear force in the world. Russia has been complaining in public forums since 2007, that the eastward expansion of Nato is a threat that they cannot tolerate indefinetly. A little 101 diplomacy 3 months ago, and this whole war never had to happen- Russia wants to cooperate with the West and Nato, and in the long run can be a very valuable ally of the US. Let’s remember Russia before the cold war Russia has always been an ally of America.

    1. Before the Cold War, Russia was part of the Soviet Union which also included Ukraine.
Also, what benefits could NATO possibly have in invading Russia. Not even considering the catastrophic losses that would occur on both sides, west Russia has very little in terms of natural resources.

  5. Remember 60 years ago when Cuba cozied up with the Soviet union. They were installing Soviet weapons there just 100 miles away from the USA border. We had a fit over that and came very close to a major conflict with the Soviets.
How would Putin feel if we biased the Ukraine into a NATO alliance and parked our troops and weapons on his southern border?
Who allowed the Nordstrom pipeline from Russia to Europe, selling the Europeans 30 billion euros of Russian energy? That revenue likely helped fund this invasion.

    1. The answer is IN your question. “WE (the Americans and the American government) had a fit over that” vs “PUTIN (PUTIN, not the Russians) feels”.
The difference is: national (and probably international ) concerns regarding a totalitarian regime installing its weapons just 100 miles away from the USA border vs. a tyrant’s concerns regarding his own status and security.

    2. @Michael Shuv that’s besides the fact that nato countries are already bordering Russia 😂😂. Poland Turkey Estonia Latvia and Lithuania border Russia.

  6. I think Senator Rand Paul would be a perfect candidate for the lead role in the upcoming movie ‘Springtime for Putin in Lenningrad’.

  7. Thank you Senator Paul. Stop sending America’s tax dollars and Military weapons and ammunition to Ukraine,
