  1. We need phone records and secret service testimony. What did they communicate with the President and what was his reaction, or lack thereof? Was anyone from Congress involved?

      That’s why Trump should be called to the Senate to testify under oath, and also when a commission is convened.
      What missing in this is the big question of why minutes after the Capitol was attacked, Trump didn’t call in the National Guard, but sat back and watched it on TV.
      Will he claim that he didn’t know that the Capitol was under attack?
      McCarthy had called him to tell him and we know his response.

    1. he technically couldn’t have NOT go free since it was just a political trial. But your point still stands. Hopefully lady justice will catch him if not for this act, then for all the financial crimes he is surely guilty of.

    2. Well call them up and tell them they will not be returning mine was kicked to the curb using this and other methods. Those numbers are 202-224-3121 0r 202-225-3121 those will take you to the capitol switchboard operators. Tell them your state and which one of your worthless Republican Senators you wish to speak to. You more than likely will get a machine or an aide but I and many did get my now gone Senator. Tell them your thoughts and also to enjoy the 2,4 or 6 years they have left because they will not be returning. Do NOT threaten them. Then get 5 of your friends to call and then have them have 5 of their friends call etc. I used this and called every 2 weeks or so. Do not delay get on the phone and tell them you are going to show them a new way to the door on their way back to their state in disgrace. A certain number will not be making it back to their states they will be imprisoned by the time it all comes out.

    1. Yep, but numerous times in Trumps presidency he tried to quiet intelligence about his most violent supporters. We need more investigations…

    2. 💯That’s what I keep saying. The only media that really points that out are independently funded progressive sources & a few MSM hosts. It needs to be repeated every time someone says this wasn’t predictable. Regular people were worried about that day. MSM even warned of the risks… Because something like it was planned & practiced in the open, for at least a year!

    3. @T D True. There were original versions of reports leaked, showing they were edited to make them more PC toward the far right. Agents mentioned having to balance each reference to white nationalists with a reference to eco terrorists, etc. He also defunded an Obama era task force that focused on monitoring extremist social media.

  2. Where there’s even a whiff of potential, you go w/the “dressing for a football game” approach. Wear more than you need. You can always take it off if you don’t need it, but if you need it and don’t have it, that’s a problem!

  3. The Capital guards also said they were ordered to turn in their riot gear that it was “old.” They never got a replacement and were severely compromised on 1/6

      Before World War II, Charles Lindbergh typified American heroism with his daring flights, including the first solo transatlantic flight, and his celebration of new technology.       The America First movement was the public face of pro-fascist sentiment in the United States at that time. In the twenties and thirties, many Americans shared Lindbergh’s views against immigration, especially by non-Europeans. The Immigration Act of 1924 strictly limited immigration into the country, and it was specifically intended to restrict the immigration of both nonwhites and Jews.

      In this era, the likes of Toxic Trump and Marginalized Greene have become the face of the new “America First” fascist movement built up over the last four decades by the GOP, Reich-wing plutocrats, demagogues, and media. But, as with Lindbergh, the American people gradually come to recognize their dysfunctional poison and reject it. Most Americans understand, accept, and appreciate that the enduring strength of America is that we are a nation of immigrants and multiculturalism, a “melting pot” where the best ideas rise to the top, and superficial differences are meaningless in the face of our common humanity and purpose. Most Americans want competent leaders who speak truth, who strive to unite, who are not corrupt, who care about them. So, it should come as no surprise that President Biden is already receiving high marks from the public, while Toxic Trump never managed to rise above even a 50% approval rating. To conclude where begun, the following quotes are submitted for further reflection:

      Cops used techniques like kettling to make mass arrests of protesters. I know facts won’t get in the way of your bigoted talking points. The fact you don’t add any substance to your own statements in evidence as such.

  8. When he said the intelligence didn’t warrant boots on the ground, he means HIS intelligence. Because there was clearly lots of intelligence out there that warranted it.

    3. @Mindi Kruse Exactly. I was worried, too. I just naively thought Trump’s influence wouldn’t be able to interfere so much with security preparations, because so many agencies were involved. Sadly, it came down to him & his new DOD lackeys, refusing to send help & the longstanding bias of law enforcement that blinds them to the level of danger from the far right. Guaranteed, there were white officers shocked at being called “traitors” by Trump fans who spent five years saying “Back the Blue”.

    1. I’d guess it has much more to do with why Barr resigned, he left after Trump asked for the riot but before it happened. This needs much further investigation into every member of Trumps DOJ.

  10. We know who is responsible for holding up the National Guard. At the higher level of intelligence agency they were told to wait. Anyone who was watching the riot were asking themselves “Where is the National guard? every minute.
