MSNBC’s Ari Melber reports on how conservatives ranging from Fox News hosts to elected Republicans are now speaking out, a measurable shift from earlier responses to the virus, in this excerpt from an MSNBC segment. (This interview is from MSNBC’s “The Beat with Ari Melber, a news show covering politics, law and culture airing nightly at 6pm ET on MSNBC. ). Aired on 6/30/2020.

    1. That’s a bit rich. CNN makes front news of trump not sneezing in his elbow. Your precious nbc and cnn are deceiving you. They know reporting on trump scratching himself will get him re-elected because that keeps them in well paid jobs. Biden will be the slowest news day in the world if elected, so they feed the trumpeter what he wants, like a monster.

  1. *And this answers the question of who’s less dumb, Sean Hannity or Trump*

    1. Must be a bot or some hannity EXTREME fan who can’t stand that republi-cants are following science or “the nwo” or he has a new disorder. He uses all caps cause he has nothing intelligent to say just as his cult leader who just may don a white hood while standing next to “Dorian Gray”. HE’S GONE!

    1. The “total authority” guy? The “I can do whatever I want” guy?
Forced by anyone to do something he doesn’t want to do?
Trumpanzees must finally decide which one it is. They can’t permanently have their cake and eat it.

    2. it reminds me of the scene from Monty Python’s Life of Brian…. crowd: The Messiah!!! Brian: I am NOT the Messiah… crowd: only the true Messiah would deny his own divinity! Brian: allright then I AM the Messiah…. crowd: The Messiah!!!!! Brian: ohhhhhh F…. OFF!

  2. That’s the same Hannity that downplayed the virus and called it a hoax. Now all of a sudden he’s worried.

    1. I believe that Hannity called it a Democratic hoax. I could be wrong; after all, so much garbage is spewed by Fox Opinion Network, rather than facts.

    2. @Cuckoo Phendula NOT WITH A CUCKOO CLOCK, OBVIOUSLY. STOP COPYING PEOPLE, THAT’S OF THUGS. I SAY CUCKOO BECAUSE I OWN ANTIQUE CUCKOOS, BUT I TURN OFF THE CUCKOO. BE GENUINE JUST BECAUSE ARE A democRAT

  3. Interesting how all the hardcore oppositionists to Covid-19 restrictions are now apparently willing to lend an ear to advice and data that’s been not only in the government but PUBLIC realm for months.

    1. @Alexei Voloshin Go back under the stone you came from. I assume you come from a country who lie as much as Trump

    2. @Alexei Voloshin In particular, (since you asked for specifics), data that does favor restrictions to stop the spread of the coronavirus (such as stay-at-home orders). Or at the minimum, data that supports safety precautions such as wearing a mask.

There’s too much to explain in just one post (plus I just don’t really feel like going that deep into it) about explaining the data that goes against an opposition to coronavirus restrictions. However, I will provide you with this: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Notice that states that put in more coronavirus restrictions and precautions (like New York and Virginia) have seen their rate of new cases go down (or at least remain steady). This is unlike states like Texas or Florida, who were quick to re-open and both saw and extreme rise in the number of new coronavirus cases.

    3. @Mr. James The data is, at most, inconclusive. NY has many more total recorded cases than FL. Which suggests that most people in NY have already had it and have developed immunity. And this is considering that testing is still very sparse. So, again, it’s tough to find the data that directly shows that any type practical measured actually do anything.

    4. @Alexei Voloshin I listed another state besides NY (the state of Virginia, which has had a lower amount of cases than Florida). Even then, those aren’t the only two states that have shown a steady or decline in the rate the new covid cases are added. If you looked at the source I provided to you, states that had tough restrictions had more often had lower rates of new covid cases, than those that did not have restrictions. To make it easier for you, try comparing many states in the New England area (known for having tougher regulations) to state with lower regulations (mainly concentrated in the South and Midwest).

    1. @CShield The hospital was sending them back to nursing homes (while they were still sick) because of Cuomo’s policies.

  4. Oh well, if Hannity says it, then it must be true! Why would I want to listen to all the experts when I can listen to Sean Hannity, the smartest man in the world!😂🙄

    1. Lol, making it funnier that msnbc thought this false headline would be advantageous, haha haha 😂

    1. Fred flintstone Jr is just following orders of fox instead of the orange kkkool aid man. Why? Because tang man NEEDS alotta help & all his distractions aren’t working anymore.

  5. When will Americans realize that Fox News is licensed by the FCC as a “News Entertainment/Opinion Network” and NOT as a News Outlet. That’s the only reason that they haven’t been hauled into court ages ago for reporting lies and trying to pass them off as fact. They are allowed to spew their OPINIONS and that’s how they manage not to be sued. To make it clear to the Bunker Boy Brigade, Fox is the WWE of cable. Sports Entertainment, rather than real wrestling.

    1. And CNN is the leftist version lol. It’s funny, yes it’s entertainment, we get it, but thanks for explaining;)

    2. @Wes Smith CNN is a news outlet. Fox is an entertainment outlet. By their own definitions. You don’t need to decide, they already did.

    3. @Wes Smith You’re wrong, but most Fox fans are. CNN is licensed as a News Outlet, and is held to full standards, which is why CNN, as well as the other fully-licensed News Outlets, will publish and report any and all inaccuracies if they happen. I know that you don’t want to deal with facts, even though “alternative facts” = LIES.

  6. Fox hosts often attempt to move trump’s position by action or commentary. Trump has failed to set *the important example* for the nation thus far. Doubt he will don a mask.

  7. Hannity is just a calamity, he goes from “…coronavirus is a hoax…” to “…I wanna wear a mask…” That fork tongued little snake…he’s still a PEN15.

    1. Well he wants to go to the game. Basically saying he has to , not because he thinks it works.

    2. No mask for Hannity! How will he be able to tongue-kiss everyone at tRUMP’s next rally? tRUMP will be very displeased.

    3. Masks don’t protect against viruses, it says so right on the paper work that comes with the masks. But you don’t care about that, your just a good little order follower right?

  8. When fox was still saying it was just a hoax they had already sent most staff members home and those who stayed how to wear masks and social distance from each other . That’s how much they care about the people who listen too them They don’t

  9. Masks don’t work and even Fauci said that in the beginning, masks are worthless unless you have a medical mask wearing a mask is very unhealthy.

  10. I love how all these hideous right-wing media trolls are suddenly concerned for our health… four month late!

  11. In Sean’s defense he was saying everyone should wear masks since Early April, way before the government told everyone to start wearing them.
