  1. Every republican president has given a recession but this takes the cake 🤕

When will Americans learn. . .

    1. @Nichole Kennedy Yes and it could have been avoided by taking the virus seriously and implementing a nation wide plan that included all states. Trump just figured that blaming blue states would work because at first the virus started spreading in big cities. He jumped on that as an opportunity to blame democrats. That didn’t work but Trump is stubborn and doubled down when he should have been acting as President for all Americans. No President in history has tried to divide us intentionally. Only Donald Trump. Blue states pay for red states with taxes. If you want to see the real Donald Trump just check this out. https://youtu.be/iks184i9FOI

    2. @Carbon Claw You don’t half fool yourself, Obama got it down to 4.5% at the worst, you inbred incel deluded peron.

    3. @Carbon Claw, fantastic…..more low wage low benefit jobs back in the U.S. yay👏🏽. I work in the steel industry and the amount of jobs he claims he brought back to it is severely exaggerated. And most of them are manual labor sooooo… since the Republican Party has done such a great👍🏻 job disenfranchising unions, the jobs are not the quality they should be.

    4. It’s the W word called work. It can be done. Gotta bust are but can be done. Start your own company. Why everybody think they have to follow a script. Think outside the box your not a robot,

    1. A message that will fall on deaf ears. Nothing will change. People will feel bad and just move on.

    2. @SmileMan64 aka BenjaMan64 VOTE EARLY! DROP YOUR BALLOT OFF AT AN OFFICIAL DROPBOX OR VOTE IN PERSON unless you absolutely cannot! If you know someone who can’t, VOLUNTEER TO DROP THEM TO THE VOTING PLACE OR DROP OFF THEIR BALLOT YOURSELF (check your state website to make sure this is allowed, rules around voting, and official ballot drop off places) Lyft is also offering 50% off one ride up to $10 to any polling location or dropbox using the code 2020VOTE*. Uber is offering 50% off roundtrip rides to and from the polls (up to $7 each trip or up to $14 for the two trips)through the in-app poll finding feature.

In 2000, rather than allowing for a recount in FL, a majority Republican SCOTUS ruled against a recount during Bush v. Gore. Bush’s legal staff Roberts, Kavanaugh, Barrett also did not want recount. Trump is setting the stage for this again with those SC nominees (if it looks like he’s winning). https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/bush-v-gore-trump-biden-2020-florida-recount-537-votes-1079196/

SCOTUS already ruled in WI that mail in ballots (postmarked but arriving after Nov 3) are not to be counted, overruling state voting decisions… they’re now discounting absentee ballots in PA & NC as well… and there have been efforts to slash USPS workers to slow down the mail even more) The old voter suppression tactics aren’t working as well bc mail in voting creates easier access & early voting means less lines at the poll… so they are using other slimy tactics. Tyranny of the minority. That’s why we need to get rid of that freaking electoral college

  2. The Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) has some of the best short documentary videos on systemic racism, the history of slavery and mass incarceration in the US. Great for every kind of student. Their video channel is here on YouTube and well worth exploring. “EJI challenges poverty and racial injustice, advocates for fair and equal treatment in the criminal justice system, and creates hope for marginalized communities.” Mr. Melber – Thank you for featuring one of Americans greatest 20th century writers and social justice advocates Mr. James Baldwin.

    1. It’s making me so sick to see how the treat the American Latinos ring African America but God Bless America for this people that fight for the right the Latino ING African America

    1. If you haven’t mailed your mail-in ballot, remember that some states such as Wisconsin won’t count votes received after November 3. Due to post office delays, voters should consider returning their mail-in ballots to an official ballot drop-off location. 44 states across the country are offering in-person early voting, which might be the safest and most reliable method of voting. Find ballot drop box locations, voting information, poll hours, and everything else you need to cast a ballot at Vote.org
. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, around 30 million Americans who requested mail-in ballots haven’t returned them. Please copy and share if possible.

    2. Yes, they want to stay far away from speaking on this because they know this systemic racism but don’t want to address this. They don’t want to face the truth of what they have been doing & what they are continuing to do.

  3. Right now in California, we’re voting on whether to get rid of the cash bail system or keep it. I hope it goes the way of the dodo.

  4. Ari is so informed without being biased…this guy a rare gem in this hateful world…love the commentary

    1. I don’t think he is informed period!
      Here is why,
First of all these numbers have been known for decades. He had his team dredge them up
Secondly, They are using those numbers to scared people and make African Americans/Latinos feel “liberated”.
Lastly, had NBC done this 20 years ago Ari would have been strung up!
With all that being said. LIFE IS UNFAIR! It is how you deal with it is what matters.
I had to live with personal hate towards myself for most of my life. I still have troubles, but I am working on my issues! IF Republicans want to bash me GO AHEAD! My skin is far too thick to worry about a YT Comment.

    2. @Carlos Rodriguez It’s so sad that Trump supporters are the bullies of this world. I have seen the worst in people that I know in these past 4 yrs, mostly the past 2. You are all brainwashed and follow the worst monster that has been put into the white house. Corrupt to the umpth degree. Just look at the video of Trumps Top 100 scandals. Enough said.

    3. @Jan Hall Brother, watch more YT! There is alot of hate across the globe right now. Things just never change! We just try to Gloss it over!

    1. @V
Still waiting on how white people are privileged and now a policy or a law that is racist. You can’t explain either can you.

    2. @V
Come on stupid tell me a policy or a law that is racist. Tell me how whites are privileged. Oh wait you can’t.

  5. Very well done Ari, good use of info-graphics and use of statistics mixed with personal stories. I’m glad that MSNBC is talking about institutional racism, but leaves it at “What is MSNBC doing about it?” and “What comes next?” would like to see more, and feature more guest speakers, POC in leadership and organizing roles, and more transparency about racism in MSM

  6. America’s primary problem is favoring the well off against the less well off. All other problems like racism and poor education follows.

    1. @Robert Frost – It’s like this. Republicans say that Democrats don’t care about people of color. Yet, most Republicans wouldn’t give a black person a job and then they would say “look at them, they don’t want to work”. Oh wait, Kushner just said that the other day. The guy who got an $800 million loan from Freddie Mac to get him out of his problems in N.Y. And who heads Freddie Mac? The guy appointed by daddy-in-law. And the loan’s terms could never be obtained by most. Please. And don’t forget, most of tRump’s cheap crap is made in China. So is his daughter’s cheap crap.

    2. @Robert Frost who believes in giving tax cuts to rich people to allow them to get richer? Republicans. who lies to the common people by telling them the wealth will “trickle down”? Republicans. who loosens regulations on big corporations, allowing them to ship jobs overseas, leave Americans in the lurch while they profit off 3rd world labour? republicans. who keeps cutting spending on health care and education, the very things people need to lead good quality high standard lives? Republicans. who is forcing Nancy Pelosi to reject the stimulus bill because it contains more perks for big corporations than for the American people? Republicans. who will happily allow you to be enslaved by tyrannical corporations and greedy billionaires so they can stay in power? Republicans. Democrats ARE in favour of sharing the wealth by increasing social spending and creating more equitable social and workplace practices, among other things. but you won’t vote for Democrats because you think these good things are “communism”. if you don’t vote for Democrats, they don’t get the power to make good changes. so why don’t you see the part you play in this? the part you play in your own suffering?

    3. oh no, you don’t get to bury the vital role racism plays in this by suggesting racism is just a side effect. when the civil rights movement brought black Americans the right to go to the same places as white people and have the same legal rights as white people, the people in power decided that the only way to deprive black people of “nice things” was to deprive EVERYONE of them. social spending on health, education, infrastructure maintenance went down everywhere. standards of living and social mobility gradually stagnated, leading to the broken systems, poverty and squeezing of the middle class that we see today.

    4. @ra5928 where do you get your thoughts from? You said most republicans wont give black people jobs can you provide evidence to that claim. The cooperations the big money comes from democrats. Your argument is based on feelings and propaganda not reality.
Democrats by design are aborting 50 percent of all black babies. Forget what trumps son in.law said. Biden worked on a segregation bill with his mentor a grand wizard of the kkk because biden said he didn’t want white neighborhoods turned into jungles.
As far as freddie and fanne do you realize it was low interest mortgages given to unqualified homebuyers that collapsed our economy. Biden and obama bailed out these banks specifically fannie and Freddie but gave nothing to the working people..
You think Trump is a racist because your emotionally manipulated to believe so. You believe conservatives are racist because your emotionally manipulated to believe so. Make your best case why you believe Trump is a racist. Also make your best case why biden isn’t. If you can’t then explain why you believe such nonsense.
The only people fighting for the lives of the 50 percent black babies being aborted everyday by design of democrats are conservatives. If conservatives were racist against black people we would be democrats.

    5. @C.W.Simpson Productions
Yes, but this is 2020 & no other developed country has racism on the scale that America has. The Africans were dragged half way across the World, against their consent, by the millions. That’s not counting the millions who ended up on the bed of the Atlantic Ocean. They’ve been abused from day one, given their so called “freedom” & for what ? How can this be acceptable to anyone in the civilised World ? Why on Earth anyone would want to seek sanctuary, let alone move to the “United” States of their own free will is a mystery to me and many others like me. It’s time to pull yourselves into the 21st century, stop living in the past. Make America Respectful.

  7. I want to see the arrest records for blacks under Trump since he loves to taught that he has done more for black people.

    1. That orange mf says he’s done more for black ppl but didn’t bother condemning the pigs who killed Breona taylor

    2. Let’s not forget Overland Park. Hate seeing Black Americans or Latinos being sheep and supporting this orange racist turd.

  8. The Nixonian doctrine in full: “blacks on smack, libs on weed, c’mon true Americans we know what we need… ”
Revolting and shameful, and the current POTUS is openly nostalgic for it.

    1. @Adam Manning But we have a white supremacist in office right now who would have us return to the 50s you don’t vote for a party you vote for individual and Donald Trump is not it for me I wouldn’t care if he was a Republican Democrat or independent

    1. bigotry was here in the beginning of time and will be here in the end of times, through out history governor parties have use bigotry to bring the masses together and religion or fear of some type to control them, Romans hate the Christians, Germany hate the Jews , the middle east is all bigotry hate, and now the democrats pushing bigotry in our faces everyday for 4 years for political reasons. The damage the democrats have done will take decades to heal if ever.
