Sen. Chuck Schumer reelected as Senate majority leader by Dems | USA TODAY

In a unanimous vote by Democrats, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer was chosen to lead what he called a "diverse" leadership team in the Senate.

Schumer has served as majority leader since 2021 and now heads into his fifth term as a senator.

Democrats secured their Senate majority in last month's midterm elections, following Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto's win in Nevada.
