  1. John Adams-“In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is a Congress.”

    1. @johnny I worked as a legislative aide for 6 years in the U.S. Congress; so, between the two of us, I sit at the head of the table in this discussion. You’re 100% incorrect. Thanks for playing! Your level of disinterest in public affairs is how this Nation ended up with a complete dullard like Trump in the White House. If you knew any better, you’d be ashamed of yourself…”Critical thinking skills”? YOU? Don’t make me laugh….

    2. @johnny The country is already divided by refusing to face the reality of racism… a country that would in the name of unity sweep it’s legacy of horrors under the rug? No my friend, stop and acknowledge the truth of what happened in the past, so that you may truly follow the teachings of Jesus. Here are examples :
“Jesus said it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven (Matt 19:24).

On some occasions, Jesus’ exhortations to help the poor have been used as arguments for the redistribution of wealth from the rich to the poor. Recall the story of the rich young ruler:

A certain ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honor your father and mother.’” He replied, “I have kept all these since my youth.” When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “There is still one thing lacking. Sell all that you own and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.” But when he heard this, he became sad; for he was very rich. Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:18–25).

In the the Magnificat we read “he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.”

I do not condone all those misdeeds committed by protesters, neither would Jesus. Neither do I condone the horrors committed by racists and white supremacists.
CRT is a reality that must me faced. What happened at the Tulsa massacre must be remembered even if it makes you uncomfortable.

    3. @Liquid Sunshine WV voters will keep Manchin anyways. He’s won twice now, and he’s pretty well liked by West Virginians. Biden has zero leverage over him, and there’s nothing anybody can do about that.

    4. @ProgramKing maybe so, but everyone (on the left 😀) says he’s better than risking a Ted Cruz type. WV is very conservative, and the Evil Washington DEMS took their coal jobs away. (Trump, never got them back, but no one remembers that 😀)

  2. So if the republicans tell manchin they won’t negotiate to his face should dems just go and use the republicans bill? I don’t think manchin realizes, McConnell ain’t in control anymore.

    1. @Sion Oudt that’s wrong. McConnell controlled the Senate and gloated about what he did.

    2. @Marie Singing I agree lol cause I didn’t want Biden to win lol and I was a democrat all my life cause in my state there idea of interstructire is build roads bridges not take the money to pay people to not work so there not all I’m favor of Joe Biden the dementia man lol

  3. Did Joe not hear and see Mitch mcconnell say his purpose is to block this administration ..

    1. @C Cato literally only come to cnn to argue you tards. Notice how y’all can literally never engage with criticism.

    2. @Josh Light Actually More people live in blue states, pay more in taxes and receive less from the government. They enjoy longer lives, better education and lower infant mortality.
Red states are mostly ashes of the confederacy so we know how they feel about basic human dignity and rights. They are basically parasites on the productive, innovative Blue states.
But yet you think they should be in charge.
Let the failed stupid states rule, eh?
Sounds like a plan for failure, like most of their residents.
The South will not rise again unless it’s a bonfire.

    3. @trey darling – You’re talking to the voices inside your head again. Aren’t you?

      You poor thing.

    1. My thought exactly. When manchin delivers 10 republican votes then he can talk about bipartisan.

    2. @Electric Gigolo Agreed. The man is delusional or bought – maybe both.
You are really in a fix with supposed democrats like Sinema and him.

    3. Cause they know Manchins answer: _I have no clue. But if we lose 2022 and 2024 i will haven an awesome life._

    4. Excellent I would love a reporter to say name the 10 you think would break rank then Manchin souls shut up

  4. Who needs an enemy like China when we have our own politicians running our nation into the ground?

    1. @John B “Blame others not yourself” What? That’s the Democratic MO and has always been, lol accuse others of what you’re guilty of is straight from the Marxist play book 😂 you’re dumb

    2. @Liquid Sunshine you must be drinking that Too Strong Coffee… lmao. I fully agree with you on everything you said. People do worship capitalism. Dare I say it’s the new religion

    3. @canoeshoe That’s a laugh!!😂😂😂… coming from someone who supports a stolen presidential election. Obviously Biden’s base consists of people who should be in a mental institution.

  5. “We’ve got to work together.”
Except that will NEVER happen. McConnell has literally come out and stated that as fact.
So the fact that Manchin keeps claiming that there needs to be bipartisanship shows that he is 100% working with Republicans to sabotage the Democrats.

    1. @Tom Cain Yeah… I didn’t see any Democrats storming the capitol and beating on police officers. So much for the party of “law and order” and “backing the blue”. More like lawlessness and disorder, and bludgeoning the blue.

    2. @Kevin lol You do know Trumpster fire was in bed with Poison Putin and the Commies this whole time right? And that Marxism and socialism are in direct opposition to fascism, authoritarianism and totalitarianism…. but I don’t expect you to be cognizant of such facts.

  6. Manchin says “it has to be bipartisan….” He loses all credibility when you realize that he was not crying ‘bipartisan’ when the other side was in charge?

    1. @King Carlos Infrastructure: the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings, roads, bridges, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise; the social and economic infrastructure of a country that can also include basic structural needs like job protection, child care, health care, etc., in order for the productive functioning of society.

    2. Except that when the other side was in charge, they didnt ram legislation through on an every item they wanted way like is happening now. They just refused to do anything if they couldnt agree.

    3. @Will Shepherd LoL you are mistaken. Fact check: The Republicans pushed all the legislation they wanted, with it without Democratic support. They didn’t care to have bipartisan support, ever. It’s their way or the highway.

    4. @LD well, you are incorrect. But even if you weren’t, I guess what you are saying is that “Might makes right”? So the dems who are always going on about the moral high ground thinks this behavior is ok… but only when they do it… sure seems logical.

    5. @Will Shepherd Just because you believe you are right, does not make you so. Again, your initial comment, and the one that followed, are false.

    1. John McCain is not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured

  7. There are people in the Senate that need to be primaried in both parties. So many no longer represent their constituents.

    1. @Jennifer Coleman all Democrats who align with fairytales told by AOC should be voted out

    2. Well in my state not all democrats like joe Biden they want to not pay people to stay home so Biden doesn’t like them if they vote against him

    3. @Peace I don’t know? What a weird question. I thought we were talking about Manchin representing the people who voted for him, not how to destroy poverty.

    4. @Sharon Vasser The poverty rate in his state is one of the highest in the USA. You would think he would vote to raise the minimum wage.

  8. GOP wins an election and get what they want. Democrats win elections and the GOP get what they want.

    1. @Politically Ambiguous Yeah? I guess that stimulus checks did nothing for the economy and Americans huh? I guess you don’t care to cut child poverty in half, lower taxes, create more jobs, improve infrastructure, protect the sanctity of the voting process from suppression?

    2. @LD Half-measure checks. They should have been 2,000, but you lot settled for 1,400. I expect the infrastructure bill to be a half or quarter measure too. Your party ain’t that good, and being better than the GOP on some things isn’t a high bar.

    3. @Politically Ambiguous Democrats have this weird habit of shooting themselves in the foot with these polarizing social justice issues, such as transgender pronouns and black lives matter. It is quite evident to me that the GOP has won both the culture war and the messaging when it comes to the economy.
Republicans lose me when they turn into obsequious Trump sycophants.
Republicans do not need Trump to win. They already have the winning message with voters. Trump if anything, over the long term, will not expand their base.

    4. @LD I think that’s the problem. You’re viewing this through the lens of what the government can do via legislation- but not the responsibility that society has.
You know what else will cut child poverty? Not having children out of wedlock, graduating highschool, making a stable income before having children.
Lower taxes? That’s not the Democrats.
Government doesn’t create jobs. Business leaders create jobs. The government provides incentivization.

    5. @Willie Free Older Democrats grew up in a world dominated by old school conservatives from the 1930s, 40s and 50s. They honestly believe that seeking middle ground and compromise is the highest proof that they pose no threat to their angry and once numerically dominant opposition. Those 80 year olds saying crazy stuff at a Trump rally represent a generation of some of the most insane parents in history. Those are the parents of the boomers.
Democrats aren’t the only ones who believed they could cooperated with a cult of conservatism that really began taking shape in the 1980s. Republican in the 1960s invited those people to join their party thinking they would be easy to control. Instead they turned the Republicans into the cult itself. They are a highly manipulative intellectually dishonest force and the culture war is very real for them. Democrats could never accept that conservatives really do hate them, that many think Dems are on the side of Satan, and really do want to destroy them. It’s always been too crazy to believe. They still think they can come to some kind of understanding with those ancient barbarians.

  9. ” We need to work together ” …
So why are you working together with Republicans but not with democrats 🤔

    1. @Joel Castaneda I don’t think you understand my comment properly. Please read it again. Why is he excluding democrats when he said together?

  10. “We’re gonna run the Senate like it was interned”
    Joe Manchin
THE FILIBUSTERER WASN’T IN THE ORIGINAL DESIGN, and it was not intended to be used like it is.

    1. yes but the government used to be for the people above corporations and lobbyist interests. Doing away with the filibuster now will just open the door to each party just changing the laws every 4-8 years whenever their party is in charge. We cant do away with the filibuster until we get term limits and corporation lobbyst money out of politics

  11. what is the point of bipartisanship when the electorate voted for who’s in power and want their agenda implemented?? This concept of bipartisanship instils minority rule which is not democratic! Did Manchin not learn from the commission vote?

  12. The founding father never thought about a whole party turning traitorous either, Joe Man-chin

  13. Manchin ends up looking like “McConnell’s man in the Dems” – does he not see how toxic this could be to his own seat?
