The middle east crisis, terrorism threat, puppet regimes, etc is due to our own doings. Our greed for oil and weaponry dealings benefitted the very few powerful rich and cost the rest suffering through the loss of their loved ones in the military services. We now have to worry about how we fly and we now have less freedom. Greed will do that..

  4. Chris Krebs was removed because he wouldn’t go along with Trump’s Big Lie.
    He should be reinstated immediately.

@Harvey Manfredsenjenson Hey did you know that “RussiaGate” is orthogonal to Biden’s choice to keep Sullivan? If you don’t agree, then perhaps you should explain the ways these are connected (“RussiaGate” and Sullivan) and how keeping Sullivan is any kind of statement on Trump’s guilt, or lack thereof? And, hey, did you know it takes months for a new Ambassador to settle in (staffing, connections, etc)? And, hey, did you know there’s a benefit to Biden’s approach to Russia that this particular Ambassadorship’s transition go smoothly? And, hey, did you know that Biden is less partisan and less ego-driven than Trump, and so has no problem with keeping select personnel from a prior administration, even if that administration represents the opposing party?

    • @ralph stephan Yes, talent and patriotism like his should be rewarded.

  9. us lawmakers, right and left : “china may be in the process of stealing the supremacy that we stole… let’s accuse china of everything… oh… by the way, we think we are uniquely entitled to steal private data worldwide… and we are not going to let china try do the same… ” 🙂

    • False choice fallacy: There is hypocrisy, but it’s from both countries. Common practice/ two wrongs fallacy. The fact that our government has done something wrong doesn’t exempt others from criticism. All governments should stop such underhanded tactics, but it doesn’t seem likely, at least for now.

    • you are fool
      I suspect you are enemy
know this… we do not need your kind among us anymore
go back to Q you LOOSER!

  10. Willie Geist asks a two part question at @7:30, key was the 1st part: ‘With all the heightened awareness of Russian interference in U.S. after 2016, how did we allow “Solar Winds” cyberattack to succeed?” Then on the the 2nd part about likely Russian response to sanctions. Krebs ONLY addressed the 2nd part. Absolute silence on how the “Solar Winds” hack wasn’t averted. Story there? BTW: Geist is one of the best interviewers out there.

Go back to bed, boomer. You were obviously asleep when Robert Mueller debunked Russiagate 2 years ago.
I eagerly await my stalker, zidge1751, to stop by and give me some much needed head.

Great, so now the US, the UK, Russia and China are stealing my data! I’ll just reiterate that the Avril Lavigne mp3s are my ex-girlfriend’s and Apple were giving away that U2 album to everyone.

  13. We let them take our information, just ask facebook and twitter.

facebook and twitter aren’t perfect but they’re not stealing US technology and are not beholden to the communist party of china…. that’s THE difference…

    • @Iron-Curtain-ASAP Great news, I don’t use Facebook and Twitter. 👍

We have been so foolish it’s way past time to wake up… BRING CHRIS BACK!

  16. China has made almost every supply chain dependent on them, especially in the EV market! They have been incredibly smart and sly, and apparently no government is paying attention!!

  17. The Alextrifier | April 15, 2021 at 4:54 PM | Reply

Aren’t there a bunch of folks trying to steal private data every day?

  18. “It’s time for the U.S. to give up its wishful thinking of changing China or stopping the
1.4 billion Chinese people’s historical march toward modernisation.” – Wang Yi.

  19. By the way Krebs, that was a slick move you did on me a while back. I recognized you.

  20. I’ve been looking into VPNs ever since trump came into power. He was utterly terrifying. I let it go because my husband wasn’t big on worrying about it. Yet another reason to bring it up to my husband again. It’s time.
