Sen. Shaheen: Hawley’s Electoral College Challenge Borders On Sedition Or Treason | Andrea Mitchell

Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) joins Andrea Mitchell, telling her that she’s “hopeful" the votes hold on the defense bill and that the Senate "will, with a strong bipartisan vote, override [the president’s] veto.” She also said Senator Josh Hawley’s announced plan to challenge the electoral college certification next week is “outrageous. More than that, it borders on sedition or treason.” Aired on 12/31/2020.

    1. @Dr. G hunter biden? The Biden crime family? Swalwell? Adam schiff? Michael Nader?

      Gonna investigate these guys too?

Just try and be slightly fair, maybe a little fair, kinda fair, a teeny bit fair?

    2. Should have, would have, could have! American politics is the laughing stock of the world. You have corrupt politicians who show their allegiance to Trump, the king, instead of the public who they are supposed to be working for. Absolute joke. No honour, no integrity, no morals.

    3. Yes it is sedition and they must deal with It Not with idle words Time to take action against these people

    1. @josie Before you can sentence you have a trial where you have to find him guilty. He gets a defense where he gets too… PRESENT EVIDENCE

    2. @nodaklojack we have electric chairs and lethal injection in the United States. And now recently back thanks to Trump, the firing squad!

  1. There is no doubt this supposed senator is not serving the USA but some other country we should send him home.

Duh, He’s compromised by the cHai-neeeze, doing Their Bidding – Not Trump’s!!!
Bigly Trump Victory Celebration January 6th in DC.
Be there or be a TDS square, or Communist, Globalist, Leftist, Socialist, Marxist, Deep State Swamp Creature, etc
After today, I move on. If I didn’t change anyone’s mind, at least I can say ‘I tried.’ It’s not failure when you do something you truly believed in. A free, fair, honest, transparent election is one of them. Stopping Socialism, Democratic Socialism, Socialist Democracies, Communism, Marxism, Globalism, etc. is another. Stopping spread of pedophilia is another. The rest is everything a person of a sound mind would want. Have a Happy, Joyous, Wonderful New Year!!!

    2. @Jeff Hershey the fraud idea is only in Trump’s head, and even he knows its not true, but it serves its purpose he gets money from all these that aren’t bright enough to realize it. The only reason this traitor is saying this is that he hopes to milk all these fools that believe its okay to drink bleach and enhance his career, for the sake of this he is willing to transform our country into a dictatorship.

  2. Wealthy GOP Senators Don’t Need $2,000—So They Tell Americas children to go to bed Hungry! …Someone give moscow mitch a bat burger!

    1. @Ingrid Malik-Connor agree re: suffering vets but it is important to know that foreign aid is less than 1% of our budget and most of that goes to sellingAmerica’s products and promoting our ideals

    2. @#NOTMYPRESIDENT #RESIST the red states are the welfare states. They take in more fed money than they pay in. NY, CA, IL & TX generate more than 60% of our GDP. TX still is in the red re:Fed intake vs Fed input. If we equalize input vs output, Midwest and south go broke.

    1. @Todd Hendricks And the paltry tax cuts that people under $70 or $75K gained in 2017 (can’t remember which) are reinstated in 2021. They were only temporary. The cuts to the rich were not temporary and will remain in place. Funny that.

    2. Should have, would have, could have! American politics is the laughing stock of the world. You have corrupt politicians who show their allegiance to Trump, the king, instead of the public who they are supposed to be working for. Absolute joke. No honour, no integrity, no morals.

    1. Russia was CELEBRATING the same day as if Putin was America’s president being sworn in. Any reason you can think of WHY?

    2. @Tim Smith yes he did say he whould drain the swamp,an then he became the head crocodile and he became the swamp.an the oath he took was the same as every President before him,you no the one that says he will protect our democracy instead he is destroying it,

    3. True statement, I just don’t understand why he was not removed from office after not showing his taxes. Financial transparency should be a requirement to even get on the presidential ticket. No foreign entanglements either personal or professional unless completely transparent. Excellent character. Why did America put a cheater in office, he cheated on every wife he had was their first clue. Unfit from jump street.

  3. They really need to look at Pompeo. And Hawley is grasping at straws. These lawyers need held accountable. The BAR association has to upset at this.

    1. The only BAR association that needs to be in DC is the Browning Automatic Rifle association, lol. Time for a cleanup and restart (both sides are a gong show).

    2. Should have, would have, could have! American politics is the laughing stock of the world. You have corrupt politicians who show their allegiance to Trump, the king, instead of the public who they are supposed to be working for. Absolute joke. No honour, no integrity, no morals.

    1. @Annie I don’t remember anything in the constitution about that. Also, right now, the Republicans have the majority in the Senate.

    2. @John Keith yes. Bernie Sanders. Only a handful of others. Not Schumer. Not all the corporate democrats.

  4. i’d rather tax money go to the people instead of all these crooked politicians who are getting more than $175K a year

    1. That’s why I don’t vote every year politicians gets worse and we let them to divide us and take our money to spend them on something that we don’t need

    2. They will also have healthcare and protection, paid for by our taxes, for the rest of their lives. How about them apples?

    3. That’s just what their position pays. They get tens and hundreds of millions from their donor slavemasters.

  5. Refusal to respect the democratically expressed will of the people is fascist. The notion that there is any legitimate basis for reversing the result of the election is a brazen lie.

    1. @Jean Alton My thoughts as well Jean..Anyway Joe didn’t cheat. He didn’t need to.
I bet Trump himself cheated and can’t understand how, by cheating, he didn’t win.
      Happy New Year..20days..
      Madds

    2. @Mark 90 million Americans believe what they hear in TV ads too, or else companies and politicians wouldn’t waste their money on them, and people would all make more intelligent purchases and cast more intelligent votes. 80 million Germans finally came to accept Hitler. A hundred million Russians thought Lenin was right. Most Venezuelans support Maduro. There was a chance to kick him out, but not enough Venezuelans stood up to do so. It proves nothing about the veracity of a piece of information that people can be convinced by the emotional appeals of flattery and sarcasm to believe the opposite. Why is it, though, that Republicans need to be coddled, but Democrats are supposed to accept Dubya and Trump, though one won by a vote of 5-4, while losing the popular vote, and the other won with the help, solicited or not, of the Russian government, whom he then spent four years rewarding for their help while losing by three million votes? Funny how Trump didn’t insist that there be investigations into his narrow wins in PA, WI and MI in 2016, if he was really interested in the legality of the vote rather than who won. Funny that he described his 306-232 (actually, 305-227) win in the Electoral College as “a landslide,” but finds Biden’s 306-232 win to be fraudulent. Well, there’s nothing funny or strange about it. The president and his allies mislead intentionally, because it is the only way they can win. Both sad and dangerous.

    3. @Gnirol Namlerf A lot of words is not working. If you like massive mail in, that is like loving Russian Roulette and you know it, if you use your noggin

    1. Hawley & every congressman that joins him must be removed. The must be forced to RESIGN. They have broken their oath of office.

  6. Time to take the gloves Off!
    Time to stop mincing words!
It’s not something like Sedition or like treason, it is Sedition! 😡😤 It is treason!

    1. @oldestgamer I am an American who wants to live with the Constitution. Again I say there is no place for you in America. Move to China communist where your kind belongs.

  7. If you actually believe this is about anything but money, I suggest you have a gander at Josh Hawley’s brand new fundraising campaign. _we will never forget_

  8. Pompeo is standing in the indictment line with the rest of these crooked politicians who think they’re untouchable, stay tuned because the people will have they’re say.

  9. Given Hawley’s desire to ingratiate himself so he can be President when he grows up, I personally VOTE FOR TREASON in his case.

    1. @Dave Haggerty He is basically committing treason by supporting and defending trump who did not win the election Electoral or popular presidential vote…which means Hawley does NOT support our democracy but wants to keep a Fascist wanna be sociopath dictator trump in the white house! Wow…shame on him..

    2. @Corn Pop So you believe the election was a fraud based on what this website and its author tell you? There is a problem with the data Binney uses in the first place. Where did he get 212 million registered to vote? The official number is 239.2 million eligible. That really changes things, doesn’t it? It is amazing at what length far right-wing ideologues will go to get their biases instilled. If he is so sure he is correct, why doesn’t he get proof and take it to Trump’s lawyers? Easier to just tell you what you want to believe on an obscure website.

    3. @Anti Factoid
The registered voter count is tallied from each individual state.
The total votes for the 2020 presidential election is gathered from each individual state as well.
There is a bit of a difference in the equation and the spikes are on record.
If you can’t see this then that’s your own problem.
The truth will always be there.
