  1. Thank you, Lisa. Now why do the resta the GOP tend to vote against the best wishes of all Americans?

    1. It’s what they do. If the Democrats try to pass legislation outlawing slavery, I believe 49 republicans will vote against it. They may even filibuster. It’s in their DNA.

  2. Senator Murkowski basically explained what her republican colleagues have against confirming Vanita Gupta.

    1. Yes, they are the people who will put the money in their pockets and then walk away, without any interest in getting justice.

  3. Finally more and more people with honor and integrity in the AG office unlike how it was with Bill Barr.

    1. Welcome relief and great conclusion after 100 days of waiting, for President Biden to get a complete cabinet. Strong and truthful AG will be legendary after the very lowered Barr under the Orange insurrectionist.

    2. Honest!? She’s vile, based on her own comments. This administration is filthy, but then again, biden is a career dirt bag politician that’s been wrong on everything.

    1. She’s desperate to gain SOME semblance of cogency, ‘cos she’s teetering on the edge – staring into the abyss…
The rest of the magaTard g.o.p’ers will soon follow along this same line 😉

    1. Votes cast by a kabal of nonsensical, egomaniacal, wind bag, bootlicking, obstructionists, that continue to fight against democracy in the United States..🤷‍♂️🤦‍♀️😷🇺🇸🌎⚖️😡

    2. @LaVelle Hardin – And ‘then some’.
In fact, so far (and with allowances for ‘as-of-yet-announced indictments’)…
#45✳ *’accrued’ FOUR disbarred lawyers (and counting), SEVEN former employees INDICTED for felonies (SIX already CONVICTED), had DOZENS of…’unplanned resignations’ AND, at last count, FIVE administration members with “Contempt Citations” on their resumes FOREVER (Barr was cited TWICE 🤨).*
And we won’t *EVEN mention* #45✳’s *numerous* ‘financial fiascos’… 💸
*Or* the seditious riot *HE incited.* 💥

  4. There was massive support for Vanita outside of the Senate. Perhaps some folk need to reconsider who they send to DC next time.

    1. First-past-the-post elections are broken.
And Republican primaries are the most broken part of US elections, as it brings the most extreme cruel, selfish and disingenuous liars to the top.

    2. @Markovian state of mind ‘Avantor through their subsidiary sold chemicals …’ I see. Vanita might have a connection to a company that knew somebody that might have done something …….I think we know which way you vote.

    3. @Chris ONeill it’s more like Vanita is the daughter of the company chairman and held a 15 M stake in the company, while the company was selling a chemical in large quantities to heroin cooks when all other legitimate usage of it don’t need huge quantities.

And I will vote only when the candidates are not insane, which both Trump is, and Biden seems like he should be in a retirement home

    4. @Chris ONeill Not even from a political stance, I can name well over 10 people I went to school/grown up with that have died from an overdose and I’m only in my mid 20’s
Those people you would had never thought they would be doing heroine. In the last year at least 5 people my age from my hometown passed away, it just hits hard losing people so young with so much potential

  5. She was praised by outside GOP members as an honest broker. That’s why the GOP in congress voted against her.

    1. She humiliated John Cornyn when she exposed his FRAUDULENT backing of one of the most well-documented corruption orgies down in Texas. Shockingly, he didn’t want her there!

    1. There’s a reason for their games, they’re concerned that The Biden Justice Dept will uncover their/ The GOP and trump’s Crimes along w/ their ties to Russia and other foreign adversaries.

    2. “Here we have the first clean articulate black man, that’s storybook” – Biden on Obama.

“Under my administration there’s not going to be another foot of wall built”- Biden on the border wall

    3. @gray guy I don’t think that trump was influenced by anyone but himself and a clown but even then it’s probably not smart at all to obsess over trump and fox, it’s tearing the world apart

    4. Whereas #45✳ *fawned for communists and dictators* throughout his ‘presidency’, Moneybags.
In fact, let us ‘count the ways’:
      1. #45✳ smiled, *saluted* and shook hands…with the men *who murdered* American collegiate Otto Warmbier.
      2. #45✳ smiled, danced and dined…with the men *who murdered* American journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
      3. #45✳ posed, preened and puled…with the former *KGB agent who attacked our country* in 2016.
*’Three strikes’* …and *now #45✳’s ‘out’.*
It’s *BEYOND* shameful…and yet *utterly* unsurprising, considering #45✳’s affinity *FOR* our nations adversaries. 😒

  6. Well done Lisa Murkowski you have principles (rare but seemingly not completely absent in the GOP woweeee)!

  7. Senate confirmations used to be a formality, largely with bipartisan support. Now, with Mitch McConnell running the GOP it’s almost always a party line vote. All this really tells me they should get rid of the filibuster
