There was massive support for Vanita outside of the Senate. Perhaps some folk need to reconsider who they send to DC next time.

@Chris ONeill it’s more like Vanita is the daughter of the company chairman and held a 15 M stake in the company, while the company was selling a chemical in large quantities to heroin cooks when all other legitimate usage of it don’t need huge quantities.
And I will vote only when the candidates are not insane, which both Trump is, and Biden seems like he should be in a retirement home

Those people you would had never thought they would be doing heroine. In the last year at least 5 people my age from my hometown passed away, it just hits hard losing people so young with so much potential

Senate confirmations used to be a formality, largely with bipartisan support. Now, with Mitch McConnell running the GOP it’s almost always a party line vote. All this really tells me they should get rid of the filibuster
