Where in the US Constitution is abortion delegated to the Federal government? It is a state issue.

I’ve had an abortion. Tubal pregnancy that ruptured. It saved my life and I went on to have other children.
I believe part of the problem is verbiage and we need to make a distinction between using abortion as birth control and using abortion to save a woman’s life.
If an abortion is an abortion is an abortion then I would have died and my two children would have been raised without a mother.
No one, absolutely no one uses abortion as a form of birth control. It is traumatic, it is painful as opposed to just simply taking a pill ( birth control /morning after) or using a condom.
Abortions are only brought up in extreme situations. The vast majority of women will only have one or two (if any) in their lifetime.

Aggression from the Democrats is met with hostility, that’s just how people are. I watched practically the whole thing today and the Democrats were way off base with their questioning. ACB might as well have been teaching a college class to them today if they were listening when she answered their questions, which it seems they didn’t because they asked the same question about the ACA about a million times.

if you were asked the (trick) question of whether you would demonstrate bias on an issue before that issue is reviewed in court, this is exactly how you should answer. What Feinstein tried to do is to get Barrett to fall into the trap of taking a stance on Roe v Wade, which is not the purpose of a Supreme Court Justice. SCOTUS only reviews cases; they do not legislate.

Senator Feinstein is asking the wrong questions, truly, because no judge can give a proper opinion on a established case with precedence or otherwise, the judge would not be held impartial when the particular case comes up to the Supreme Court again. Judge Barrett answered the question perfectly. Well done.
