    1. @Paul Dunkirk-Greenbaum I don’t think it’s as much a “Christian,” thing, as a repeat of Exodus, without the exiting.

Everybody just dancing around their golden image, because we haven’t seen Moses in what feels like forever.

    2. @Landon Letterman Any pretensions to religious following they show is precisely that – an act for the masses to gain and keep votes from gullible sheep who require only an occasional reference to a book to keep them in line.

  1. I love the emphasis on “SO HELP YOU GOD!”…Considering how many people were there, a quiet “I do.”
    (Even with the microphone)

  2. The GOP didn’t take this oath seriously in the last impeachment trial, so I hold out little hope of them doing so this time around. It beggars belief that they would put their own political desires and power above doing their constitutional duty. And shame on any of them that attempt to hide behind ‘process’. Trump came so close to overthrowing American democracy, and it is imperative that he is not only held accountable, but also stopped from ever holding office again.

  3. I honestly wish someone would ask the Republicans during the trial that “If Obama or another Democratic president had done this, incited a riot that led to the siege on the Capital, would you consider it impeachable, would YOU be pushing for impeachment? If the answer is yes, then it must be yes here too.” Force the double standard into the open and on record.

  4. It seems that many won’t take this or provoking a crowd of misguided souls to storm the Capitol very seriously.

    1. Couldn’t agree more….. no witnesses and further evidence being blocked…. I really hope a conviction entails here…

    1. @John Watt It’s actually Amun Ra, if you want to get technical about it. It’s an old symbol of the Freemasons, that dates back to ancient Egypt.

    2. @Tessmage Tessera: Oh no! You’ve opened up a big tomb of trouble. I can’t debate what you say about Amun Ra, thinking it’s the pyramid of Khufu, but knowing it predates him. Some say Enoch. My mothers’ clan system is ancestral with both Freemasons and Knights Templar, going back to The Garden of Eden. I was in a Masonic Lodge last summer, dressed in tartan head to toe, a real surprise to everyone there. It’s not just history for me, I have a phone number when my life is threatened.

    3. @John Watt Do people often threaten your life..? Anyway yes, the Freemasons can be traced back to what it sounds like: stone masons who were free men in Egypt. Originally, it was just a guild… a mason’s union of sorts.

    4. @John Watt The story of Enoch is not even as old as Khufu.

Most of Hebrew culture is little older than 3000 years and comes from ancient Canaanite myth and religion mixed with other contemporary and older elements.
