Several officials blame sabotage for mystery Russian gas pipeline leaks

European countries raced to investigate unexplained leaks in two Russian gas pipelines running under the Baltic Sea near Sweden and Denmark, infrastructure at the heart of an energy crisis since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Several European officials said sabotage appeared to be the likely cause, while Russia — which built the network — did not rule it out. #cnnnewsroom #CNN #JohnVause

      Last year.

Since then Germany has built two new terminals and massive storage facilities. They can do that because they (unlike Russia) have money. Though LNG cost more than Russian Natural Gas, (30%-40% higher) that will go down as multiple LNG suppliers put new LNG plants online.

And a good thing they did because the Nordstream pipelines are out of commission and may never transit gas again.

    2. @Dan Boyd Can’t replace adequately, and the cost is significantly higher – but you go ahead and believe what you want; you are entitled to your own opinions, but you are not entitled to your own facts. My step-daughter is in Bremen, and she is facing a VERY cold winter. The de-industrialization of Germany is underway…and it is a damn shame. The Germans need to understand the USA is not their friend.

    3. @Dan Boyd You have no clue wtf you‘re talking. Im living in Germany and those „massive storages“ u are talking about aren‘t even enough to get us through this winter and also they aren‘t even filled to 100%.

    1. @Easy Money zero reason? I’ll give you one, winter time comes and Germany and Europe are energy drained and pleas with Russia to turn the pipelines back on in exchange for not supporting nato. Thanks to them being exploded and damaged now Germany has too depend on nato and the usa in order to get energy so they will be forced to support the war

    2. @Easy Money ummmm.we are the biggest exporters of liquid natural gas. without russia we can supply Europe at 4 tmes normal rate .dont be stupid

  1. The analogy by the guest towards the end of the interview seems likely, is concerning. It would require an internal invent or a break down of command and control in some way we cannot be prepared for coming to offset these conclusions. It is a matter of how the civilized nations react to Putin’s next set of mistakes for at this point it would seem all further actions can only be more mistakes for Russia.

  2. Hard to see how anyone would benefit from this, so… Putin’s definitely to blame! Like why attack Ukrain’s peaceful people’s!? 🚀🇺🇦🛩️

  3. The recent blows to the Russian Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines were of the utmost geopolitical importance as the “bridge” of cheap energy from Asia to Europe was permanently cut and now the “Old Continent” will not be able to play a significant role in the “global scene” and in essence it will be “satellited” by the USA.

After all, this was the desire of the Americans, so they certainly had the motivation for this to happen.

Europe’s contact with the oil fields of Asia has been permanently interrupted and it is a road of no return.

The geopolitical gain for the US is enormous at least in terms of the field in which it wants to continue to dominate, namely western countries.

Now a clear planetary division into two “blocks”, one western and one if eastern, is beginning to stand out.

In order to do this, however, the Western “bloc” must be completely cut off from the energy and raw materials of the antellar “bloc”.

So that explains a lot about the motive of sabotage. For the culprit, everyone will assume that it suits him and that he fits his own geopolitical “blinkers”

Russian cheap gas and cheap Russian oil would for many decades give the required energy to European industries.

This in the USA did not like it. They wanted Europe to be under control and dependent on American resources.

But also in Europe, governments appeared that suddenly did not want to play a strong role in future geostrategic things and preferred it to be “covered” under the American “shadow”.

Gas prices in Europe are recording a new increase in the wake of the large leaks in the Nord Stream pipelines.

In particular, the October delivery gas contract is traded in Amsterdam (TTF) at +13.1% and its price at 210 euros per megawatt hour.

Yesterday afternoon, the price of gas rose by 17%, reaching 205 euros per megawatt hour.

All this what does it mean in simple Greek? limiting energy and electricity consumption which means de-growth, reducing economic prosperity and dependence on American LNG, as long as it is available, to maintain a basic standard of living.

Germany, which became an economic superpower in the years of Angela Merkel, would become an American “colony” in the years of O.Scholz.

“The Anglo-American Axis Benefits From The Ecological Terrorist Attack In The Baltic Sea” (the Anglo-American axis is the one that benefits from the ecological terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea).

“This terrorist attack destroyed every possibility of an energy rapprochement between Russia and Germany, immediately catapulted Poland to the position of one of the most pivotal energy hubs on the continent, and thus took the plans of the Anglo-American Axis to divide and administer Europe to the next level.

the attack, however, does indeed serve Poland’s greatest interests for this very reason, even if it was probably not behind what happened or had some prior knowledge of it, which is why suspicions must fall on its allies in the Anglo-American Axis.

Both have an interest in dividing and governing the EU by facilitating Poland’s rise as a continental Great Power capable of eventually competing with the bloc’s de facto German leader (at least in Central and Eastern Europe.

To get Germany out of the geopolitical and geo-economic game once and for all, the Anglo-American Axis must not only successfully deceive it and commit economic suicide through its compliance with anti-Russian sanctions, but also destroy any possibility of strategically meaningful rapprochement with Russia in the future.

The sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines achieves just that by completely preventing Germany from clinging to any energy projects it may have for the final restoration of relations with Russia.

This artificially constructed strategic inertia would thus condemn Russian-German relations for decades.”

Will someone in Germany say they don’t know that? They know it, but it seems that something is wrong with the Scholz government and even more so with the German Foreign Minister Analena Burbock who as a “Green” traditionally supports the US and is against Russia regardless of whether it is beneficial or harmful to the Germans.

German MP S. Wagenknecht and vice-president of the left-wing Die Linke: on all that is happening due to Ukraine, she said characteristically: “Whether we like it or not, if we want to remain an industrial country, we need Russian raw materials and Russian energy. Put an end to economic sanctions completely. We are not independent. We have the most STUPID government in Europe!”

The funny thing is that something similar was said to the recently writer German-Austrian (No difference as Austria is the cradle of the German nation) dentist: “The glass of water we drink now, must have more brains than the German government.”

    German MP S. Wagenknecht:

However, it is worth adding that the sabotage of russian pipelines took place just before the advent of winter, because apparently some, somewhere… they feared that many European countries would retreat from the public… anti-Russian front due to social uprisings.

Now there is no other energy option but for Europeans to keep getting colder…

Paraphrasing a “wit” of former US President Bill Clinton “It’s geopolitics stupid”, because Geopolitics is for professionals and Economics for amateurs.

In Geopolitics the Germans were never good….

  4. Brandon said he’d do it. I hope to GOD it wasn’t us! It’s definitely the stupidest thing anyone has ever done ever! GOD save us all!!!!

    1. Biden’s worst mistake ever if he did this.
It’s such a bad move that I can’t really believe he did it though. It’s too stupid to be true.

    2. Don’t worry dear Maga mutt, he never said it and it was Russia itself that did it..new information coming out every single day.

  5. *Operation BALTOPS 22: June 2022*
Seapower magazine—the official magazine of the Navy League—reported in June on a US exercise in the Baltic Sea, directly over the spots where two massive, undersea explosions took out the Nord Stream pipeline.

Sea Power, goes on to brag about experiments in the field of underwater drones, which they put on exercises BALTOPS 22 — just in the area of the island of Bronholm.

Experimentation was conducted off the coast of Bornholm, Denmark, with participants from Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, and Mine Warfare Readiness and Effectiveness Measuring all under the direction of U.S. 6th Fleet Task Force 68. Navy UUV drone tech tested.

    …how convenient.

  6. Biden warned America would do this if the war continued and now it’s happened. Not exactly hard to figure out who the culprit is 😂

  7. The area where the pipe got blown up is shallow and very heavily monitored by nato. They installed a lot of very sophisticated detection equipment there to monitor Russian submarines.
Russia couldn’t have done it without nato knowing it but nato could.
