Some Surprises Among Damning Mueller Testimony, Bad Day For Donald Trump | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

  1. In the late 80s and early 90s as a District Attorney in Cali, Adam Schiff successfully prosecuted the case of a Russian spy named Svetlana Ogorodonikov, and an FBI agent named Richard W. Miller, who was seduced by Svetlana Ogorodnikov, and agreed to sell classified information to the Soviet government. Eventually, this man—Richard W. Miller, a 47-year-old Los Angeles-based counterintelligence agent on the Bureau’s Soviet squad—would become the first FBI agent ever convicted of espionage.

Agent Miller would  eventually agree to turnover highly classified information to the Russians for large sums of money. It took Schiff 3 trails, and 6 years, but he eventually won the conviction against Agent Miller and the Russian spy, and they were both sent to prison.

During that long 6 years, Schiff stated that he learned a lot about Russian tradecraft: how the Russians operate, who they target, and the vulnerabilities they look for. During his work on the case, Schiff was also in frequent contact with FBI agents investigating Miller—giving the future congressman an intimate look at, and respect for, the Bureau’s counterintelligence mission…

    1. This is very interesting…..thank you so much….I visited Estonia three years ago the Russian investment is obvious…..but I’m now learning that it’s full of spies from Russia and all over Europe and was the place Christopher Steele first became aware of the friendship between the Americans and the Russians and Skripal was also a frequent visitor……

    1. @Fred Garvin Well, impeachment takes time. Nixon wasn’t impeached overnight either. There has to be a thorough investigations, facts and evidence gathered. Why must I tell you this?? Why do you support someone who actively accepted and encouraged the help of a hostile foreign power to win the election, and then as soon as he took office he lifted sanctions on Russians and then defiled the US Intelligence community in Helsinki and took the word of Putin over US Govt experts?? Trump is a corrupt disgrace. So, either you are a Russian Troll, or just someone who likes to stay ignorant.

    2. Interesting is Mueller’s excuse for not reaching any conclusion on obstruction: that he cannot prosecute a sitting president, Well, if that was the real excuse, why did he reach a conclusion on collusion with Russia?

The excuse falls flat. In early 2017 the investigating team realized they could not prove collusion, and they shifted their focus to obstruction, knowing all along they could not reach a conclusion and knowing all along that nothing was actually obstructed.

The ostensible purpose of the investigation was to find out whether the man who won the election did so by colluding with Russia; turns out that was not the case. But it also turns out that was not the primary reason for the investigation, since a special counsel is supposed to be charged with investigating a specific crime. Yet no crime was named in the appointment letter. They were given free reign to rummage around in Trump’s private life and that of his associates to look for a crime–any crime. Horrendous.

  2. Someone PLEASE tell me how a BJ is more impeachable than ALL OF THIS…

…must of been one heck of a BJ…ijs

  3. Hummmm, who might be caught in a compromising situation, in this administration who hasn’t been compromised?

    1. mytubecav not sure what you mean so I guess the answer is no. If that’s an American culture thing you’ll have to explain, I’m a legal Haitian immigrant.

    2. @Marie Antoinette It’s not over until Trump dies in office or he flees to Saudi Arabia one step ahead of the FBI.

      Or Mitch McConnell, ditto.

    1. Trump will not make it to 2020..Something terrible will happen to Donald j trump! The deep state will get him one way or another

    2. they know it isn’t a victory, but they have to pretend it is…so sad for the prisoner pundits of the fox faux facts faction

    3. they have to spin in the Hump’s favor if they want their next payoff check, they are all looking forward to the biggest Christmas bonus ever (even bigger than last year)

  4. Hey Vlad, thanks again for Putin me in office, but today was a complete disaster, so I’ll need even more help keepin me here.
    😘All my love,
Donnie Trumputin (that’s our celebrity couple name 😉)

    1. With love from Russia we love Donnie don’t forget Donnie I still have that video tape of you and pretty Russian ladies (wink-wink) in hotel room you bad boy OK! Don’t worry Donnie the video tape is safe with me OK!

    2. “Knowingly accepting foreign assistance in a presidential campaign is a crime”….? Hillary Clinton paid the Russians through a British spy for a dossier to destroy her political opponent. Australian diplomat who arranged a 25 million dollar donation to her foundation called the FBI to plant a false story about a low level campaign aid that repeated hearsay about said dossier given to him by another foreign national and Clinton intel operative, Joseph Mifsud. So who actually committed this crime?

    3. @Joe Killian is a proto fascist hack. Do not react to his lies and slander, he only wants to steal your time.

  5. Perhaps some fine day we will have a congress and senate we will have laws that will require, by law the removal of any elected official who uses their position to abuse the laws of our nation.

    1. I don’t have the answers that can heal our nation. However, If we don’t come together and find the answers the USA will cease to exist.

    2. That OLC (Office of Legal Counsel) rule prohibiting the indicting of a sitting president should be abolished. Unless the Constitution specifically provides for that, even a sitting president should be indictable for crimes committed before or during his or her presidency.

  6. The state of NY adjusted laws so that his local taxes in relation to that state are available to congress now. Information should be coming out on that before long.

    1. @ruth depew The unamerican deeds of the GOP will cause Detrumpification to grow as a movement. America will remain open minded, regardless what the racist in chief tweets.

  7. People aren’t use to some one who thinks before speaking and attempts to be cautious about the words he uses.

    1. Mueller could barely talk or think! You got to be kidding. He didn’t even know what Fusion GPS is. That is unbelievable! Mueller didn’t write this so called “Mueller Report”. Andrew Wiessmann and his gang wrote it! Mueller is losing his mind. He didn’t know that he has no powers to exonerate anyone. That type of power is only available in a dictatorship. In US law either you have the evidence to convict or you don’t. If you don’t you can’t do anything.

    2. @Florian Held You better stop watching the Democrat Propaganda Mockingbird Media. They are brain washing you. President Trump did not conspire with Russia and Mueller finished his so called investigation and resigned. President Trump will win 2020 even if Hillary Clinton is running again.

    1. @bingbonga binga

LOL! There are certainly ongoing investigations – but those are not focusing on Trump.

      Dream on, Ivan.

  8. Mueller has done his duty. Leave him alone now. Let him relax and be an old man with his wife, friends, and family.

    1. Exactly. Mueller told us he would not be giving any more information that was in his report. He did just that. It is not his fault that the democrats are disappointed. The dems hopes were too high.

  9. Mueller is looking all of his years. I think the stress of the last two years has been taking its toll on Mueller’s health. Hope he can now kick back and enjoy his retirement.

    1. @mary jones yes he has, sorry for clicking the wrong comment, meant for animalgal. He is still sharp and served us well. One of the last of his kind, unfortunately…..

    2. @greenhometony no worries, and i do agree. he is still very much the hero, which he proved again just yesterday 🙂

    3. @Ellis James not up to the truth? He told us the truth Ellis. That’s all we can ask for. He may be more “up” for things than you think by the way….

  10. I get a sad sense that Bob Mueller, apart from being weary and prematurely aged from the inevitable stress of such a high profile investigation, seemed to be under very heavy undisclosed pressure at the Congressional Committee hearings. He has been burdened with the primary responsibility of facing up to calling out Trump’s corrupt and criminally distorted behaviour from within the Department of Justice in Trump’s Administration, primarily staffed by Trump loyalists; and manipulated by the corrupt and deceitful control of AG William Barr. He seems to have aged badly over the last 3 years. In recognition of his service I sincerely hope Trump and Barr go down in flames.

  11. Right AFTER the hearing.
trump filed to block his tax returns.
    HOW DEVIOUS…
    Vote the criminal out!

    1. “Knowingly accepting foreign assistance in a presidential campaign is a crime”….? Hillary Clinton paid the Russians through a British spy for a dossier to destroy her political opponent. So who actually committed this crime?

  12. YES DEMOCRATS! Yes, yes, yes. Please keep pushing this. Make this your entire platform. What if there’s… more Russian secret agents. We must do more investigations! #MAGA2020 #TRUMP4EVA?

    1. Trump 2020. The Democratic Party should be President Trump’s number one doner. Thank you Demwit losers and pinheads, could of done it without you, but nice to have your help.
