    1. Cindy C4 he might be the 1st president to be convicted and impeached. Millions of Americans would be cheering the day that happens.

    2. Americans should be ready to take to the streets for mass protests against the Three Stooges: Trump, Pence, Barr (take a hint from Hong Kong and Chile)

    1. Kavanaugh committed perjury MULTIPLE times in MULTIPLE confirmation hearings!!! He should be disbarred!!!

    2. @angela bluebird60 Good, I keep an ear out for any news on him. What is it about Trump, all his buddies are such slime buckets.

    3. JV I believed Anita Hill too!
I remember Clarence Thomas “who has put a pubic hair on my can of coke”?
I never got over that and he was just like Kavanaugh and invoked “lynching” too. They know what they’re doing ..
      unbelievable!

    1. From what I read, he is not a trump true believer exactly, not a right wing activist at all, just a millionaire who made his money in motels.. He is not as smart as he thinks he is, a very common problem among rich people.

    2. @Henry Coats Not if they’re in competition with each other; then he should have more motivation to tell the truth, or to lie against Trump than to lie _for_ him, unless Trump or his cronies have enough dirt on Sondland to guarantee his cooperation.

  1. This is why it is so unusual that a person like Sondland would ever get to be an Ambassador
He’s way out of his league. His culpability is so obvious it’s laughable

    1. ” His culpability is so obvious it’s laughable”
Think of a list of trump appointees, acolytes, sycophants and associates and insert those words.
      Paul Ryan,tick.
      Mitch “Moscow” McConnell,tick,tick.
      Lindsey Graham,tick,tick,tick.
      Mike “The Slimeball” Pence,tick,tick,tick,tick.
      and so on………..

    2. Elaniago don’t say sorry …..just educate yourself more . Don is devious . Bottom line . Just read & learn . Not too hard ?

  2. This is really going on still…
Here I was a year ago, expecting a Christmas present to the World in the way of an impeached trump.
Oh well. One can always hope it finally becomes reality.

    1. @Kristi Marie This is the longest nightmare I’ve ever had, and it started about a decade ago—in 2016.

  3. Yet Absolute And Complete Dimwits Continue To believe That Agent Orange Is god!

Pelosi For President, if she is able to rid us of this hideous menace then no woman who has ever set foot in North America has ever been as deserving of The Office Of The President!

  4. Sondland would be wise to recall what has happened to past Trump insiders who lied on his behalf. They may end up being his new roomies.

  5. A president that has lied or misled over 14,000 times has lost ALL credibilty. Even the day he actually tells the TRUTH, absolutely no one will believe him. What a complete clown.

  6. Let’s finally see some accountability. Perjury, ignoring subpoenas – no more free passes. It’s time America devoted some thought and effort to the hallowed principle of equality under the law.

    1. Agreed. Subpoenas and prolonged court cases only serve these crooks who arrogantly bargain their way out of a jail sentence.

    1. A Coetzee So true. I would love to be a fly on the wall in any room where these guys are drinking and trying to figure out what went wrong. Leave out Pence. He would be a downer when he walks in with ‘MOTHER’.

    1. Not only that, but also because of the person he paid. He basically paid to become a minor chess piece in Trumps private game.

    2. Well seen, Lorena.
“If you want to know what God thinks about money… just look at the kind of people He gives it to.”

    3. They are thieves, liers, manipulators, con artist, but not smart white privilege brats, s. Daddys started it!

    1. Maureen Peterson – I’ve pondered this myself and I suspect there are several motivators for Trump followers. One of the broadest motivators is, ideological attachment. Trump was able to attach himself to a number of issues that resonated with Republicans of all stripes. In the case of someone like Bill Barr, who subscribes to a sect of Catholicism (Saint Pius X) that’s closely aligned on social issues with Evangelical Protestants, I think ideology is a dominate motivator.

Many of the members of such churches see the Left as a direct threat to their faith and values. Barr likely saw Trump as a tool to get conservative judges appointed to the Supreme Court. It’s possible, that he is willing to overlook Trump’s obvious flaws in order to accomplish goals that he values.

Someone like Sondland possibility saw Trump as a ticket to prestige and power, so he purchased that ticket without calculating the risks.

I’m just guessing, but whenever you’re try to figure out what motivates a person, look at what they value.

    2. @Chris Draughn Spectacular analysis and very well said. I wasn’t aware of the Barr/SSPX affiliation so that fills in a lot of holes for me – thanks for that. Regarding Sondland, yep, ‘prestige and power’ seem to be the simple motivators there; Barr’s motivators, IMHO, are clearly more pernicious.

    3. I Wrote In Bernie – As a secular liberal, I also feel Barr’s agenda is more dangerous to my freedom and values. I view Trump as a cannon that has ripped loose from it’s moorings during a storm. He’s sliding from one side of the ship to the other, smashing it to pieces and taking out Republican crew members that are trying to restrain him.

Maybe, just maybe this will work out best for Americans in the long run. I think we are watching the demise of the Two Party system in American politics. I can see both parties splintering into two smaller parties in the aftermath of 2020.

I’m pretty sure we are going to see a viable Green Party emerge on the left, and some sort of Libertarian Party on the right with the next decade or so.
