  1. “Republican War Plan to Steal Election: Ram through Nominee to Supreme Court, contest the election by
questioning mail in votes, have his Trumped Up Supreme Court gift wrap his re-election. Putin has nothing on Trump for rigging elections!.

    1. @john tecza It’ll be a dictatorship if Trump gets another 4 years. He said that he and Kim Jung Un “fell in love” and write “beautiful letters.” You vote for Trump, we’ll vote for Joe Biden. It’s voters’ rights to vote for whomever they want. Have a great Tuesday.

    2. @john tecza Well, let’s not resort to flinging feces at each other here. Putin is watching and rubbing his hands that Americans are pitting against each other. Go vote for Trump, we’ll vote for Biden. God Bless.

    3. @Ms Linda I would rather live in a country run by a benevolent dictator than a country ruled by violent mobs. If the Democrats win, it will be a short time before ‘The Man in the High Castle’ comes true, only it will be Russia in the east U

    4. Please share just one fact that proves your lie Trump is stealing election.
You won’t because you can’t sheep. He does not have to rig anything.
No one is voting for senile incompetent clown Biden hiding under a bed somewhere in his basement with a loaded diaper.

    5. @real american Only the projected loser of an election has the motive to cheat. Biden wont’d get anywhere near someone that wants to cheat. It would be, just too risky if he was to get caught. Trump will be going into the election behind in the polls and will be motivated to cheat. If any cheating occurs, it will be by the GOP. The projected winner of an election, never cheats. Eh?

    1. Check today’s speech at the UN. The cold war is looming. Everything DT touches dies. Everything! Vote him and his enabler OUT on Nov 3rd or better, today by mail –

    1. Frances Wilson You are the reason Donald Trump is going to win in a landslide on November 3. Thank you very much we appreciate it. Trump 2020

    2. @William H Yep. I sure do. Just like Republicans support ignorance and Vladimir Putin and corporate greed. Please stay polarized and friendless, William H. No one is listening to you.

  2. TRUMP SAID,
“IF YOU’RE THE WRONG PERSON, AND GET COVID, YOUR DEAD, IT’S THE PLAGUE.”
    #ANTICHRISTrump to SDNY.

    1. @H H I’m not confused at all (and I don’t own a “confused”, it’s not a noun). Your statement that I am “…confusing a _high_ _number_ _of_ _infections_ _as_ _death_ as to what a wave is…“ makes no sense. 5,047 cases and 103 deaths are just primary data and, as an aside, 103 deaths equals only 2.04% death rate compared to 3.4% globally, so it’s not even “ a high number of infections as death” (which wasn’t why I was informing you in the first place). If you meant ‘and death’, 5047 and 103 are extremely low numbers. Telling you what Hong Kong’s total Covid 19 cases and deaths to date is has no informational, statistical or logical correlation to “waves”.

I am very familiar with what an epidemic wave is. The rudimentary description you gave was completely unnecessary (and making an assumption that I didn’t have a clue what a “wave” is was rather ignorant and insulting). I have studied virology, epidemiology, immunology along with applicable subjects like cell biology, human physiology, etc. in university (but wasn‘t my profession). Additionally my cousin is an accomplished retired virologist and epidemiologist (with a specialization in coronaviruses) with almost 40 years of experience who coincidentally worked in Wuhan for eight months 7 years ago just before she retired. She was developing viral spread dynamics and algorithms along with containment strategies for hypothetical novel coronaviruses (among other studies) ironically (i.e. SARS-CoV-2 would have been a _hypothetical_ _novel_ _coronavirus_ then). She also worked in Hong Kong in 2002-2004 doing the same thing (as well as in Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Atlanta, Los Angeles, NY, Chicago and 3 locations in Africa) but also did a mask protocol efficacy study associated with the 2003 SARS epidemic (Hong Kong). We have talked a lot about this pandemic including future waves.

The video you linked for me about the “3rd wave” in Hong Kong was concerning the outbreak in July, not about now. They have already contained it as of about August 18 when daily new cases dropped below 50 and have been dropping rapidly since with daily new cases starting in September being below 20 and many being single-digit. Yesterday (Sept 21) there were only 6 new cases.
Epidemiologically speaking, by the way, the spike in Hong Kong in July was not technically a “wave”. Waves are natural cycles either due to climate changes or a change in virility (mutation usually) causing a shift in infection, immunity patterns and/or symptom changes. The reporter and others pertaining to this outbreak are using the term ‘wave’ inappropriately. This was an increase of infections due to changes in protocols and easing of restrictions (i.e. an outbreak), not technically a wave.
As an aside, although the parameters of an epidemic wave are not specifically defined, the rule-of-thumb is the cases must drop to at least 85% of the previous wave peak and maintain that low point consistently for at least 75% of the duration of that last wave. The cases do not have to reach zero, as you stated.
Furthermore, according to the case stats, this was only a second outbreak (again, not a wave) of infections with the first starting mid March, peaking at March 28-30 (69, 41, 82 new daily cases respectively) and ending April 11th, 12th (11 then 4 cases). As of March 2, there had only been 100 cases. Single digit cases (including quite a few 0-case days but 4 or 5 low double digit days of less than 20) lasted until July 5th (17 cases to start) when the second outbreak occurred that lasted, as mentioned, until ~end of August when single digit days began to be common right through to today. This (2nd not 3rd) outbreak had higher daily new cases with several days exceeding 100.
There was no other outbreak (not wave) between these two peaks. From the numbers, I have no idea where they got “3rd” from. You can see this here (scroll down to “Daily New Cases”):
      https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/china-hong-kong-sar/

With single-digit new cases occurring regularly now, opening schools in Hong Kong is completely acceptable. They have well-established protocols and, as my cousin told me, people in Hong Kong are exceedingly (almost ‘anally’) disciplined, especially about mask-wearing.

I can only surmise you made the original comment to ‘April Jones-Foston’ about the school openings because you were trying to make a case about *opening* *schools* *in* *the* *U.S..* *The* *situation* *in* *Hong* *Kong* *is* *not* *even* *remotely* *comparable.* That is the reason for my first comment to you: 5,014 cases and only 103 deaths. They are not in a 3rd wave, they have a contained 1st wave with a blip in July due to relaxed protocols. They will probably be getting zero-case days again like they more or less had for ~4 months. There might be remote pockets in the U.S. where schools can open with proper protocols on a county-by-county basis but not wide-spread openings, let alone a country-wide opening.

    2. @VP A-Team why did you waist all that effort for something I’m not gonna read lol, condense your points your just waiting your time was a simple correction

    1. @kd Davis Words Putin loves to hear. We need to stop hating each other. We are all Americans and cannot afford to destroy America from within. Be kind, be respectful, even if we have opposing opinions. You vote for Trump, we’ll vote for Biden. We all have the right to do so. Have a blessed day.

  3. Vote as early as you can, and if in a line keep your phone in hand at all times, to record those who approach out of line. Keep safe wear a mask and keep a distance.

    1. @J Steere they simply won’t let you into the polling station to vote if you wear anything political. It’s the law.

  4. I completely agree with Ms. Abrams. Biden should just keep on doing what he’s doing. He speaks like, acts like and is a Leader. His numbers continue to rise and he has trump absolutely terrified. Keep on keeping on, Joe B.

    1. Trump is terrified of nothing . A senile man hiding in his basement with a loaded diaper is showing leadership to you ? That’s not leadership.

    2. @real american We know old Dementia Donnie is terrified of small ramps. It’s not a basement it’s called a “bunker” and he just there to inspect it for a very short amount of time. Everyone knows, real leadership is saying “I take no responsibility at all”.

    1. @John Hillman You’re welcome and like my brother a veteran of the US Navy whom I recently lost to cancer, thank you all for your sacrifices in keeping each and everyone of us safe and sound. God bless 🙏

    2. Isn’t sad that we have let Drumpf reduce us to this. We appreciate everyone who can speak “ADULT” and is cognizant of the real state of this county /world, can clearly state a plan of action.

  5. Stacy was cheated by that Moron of a governor. He’s in charge of the ballots, so he cheated clearly. It’s so funny when any American president think it’s only in Africa that they cheat and cause crisis in elections. They do it also in the US,UK and Anywhere else in the world. They talk too much about others, just to cover up their own internal issues.

    1. @soaringvulture False, it was China and it’s just a large set-back. I like Trump and that’s all the reason I need to support him. He’s accomplished in 4 years more than Beijing Biden did in 47 years.

    2. @john emeigh So Trump killing 200,000 Americans is fine with you. Have you noticed that the United States has a disproportionate fraction of Covid-19 deaths in the world? Why would that be when Trump knew in February that the disease was dangerous? Would it be because Trump cared more about the stock market than human lives? Of course it would. And I guess you do too.

  6. Thrump’s campaign rallies look like a babysitter trying hard to make the children forget that their parents are not home. No substance just desperation

    1. @O.G. Erik And what is wrong with the waiting room in a small town doctor’s office? Seems like a good, caring, safe place to be right now. Guess you prefer chaos and desperation.

  7. Count the votes people, electoral college will continue to be bought count the votes, the electoral college is a joke on the American citizens.

    1. Since no one rides a horse half way across the country to bring the votes the electoral college is no longer needed and should be retired.

    1. @CITRUS KNIGHT Which one are you, a neuron deficient incest decendant, a Russian bot or a MAGA maggot? So many choices, so little time to choose!!!!🤡

    2. And obese , gap toothed and has accomplished nothing in her life but jealousy , racism and hate. She lost Governor race to a more qualified candidate.
