@the therorist The question is how many tens or hundred’s of thousands of additional people will die each year over and above the usual numbers that die from the usual illnesses, especially if no precautions are taken until a suitable vaccine for COVID-19 is readily available. COVID-19 has proved to be a very nasty and tricky virus, being easily and unknowingly transmitted from one person to another, and also quite deadly to the elderly and those with other underlying health issues. This is a lottery you don’t want to win, and some people will have more tickets in this virus lottery than others. All I can say is good luck and stay safe.

It is not a political divide. It is a stupidity gap. One the one side, normal sane people, on the other hand people who reason if you cant see it is not real. You can see the earth so it is flat not round. You can see the climate change so it is not real. You can see a virus so it is not real. to me, its not about patriotism to stay home or wear a mask in public. to me, it is a moral courtesy to practice social distancing because this is the most important time in all of our lives to be as decent as possible to each other. respect and care for your neighbors and your communities, and let’s be a better society once we get through this. may the Force be with us.
I fully agree with that way of looking at it. Wish more did. But, realistically, neither, “morality,” nor, “curtesy,” have ever scored high on the trump cult’s list of priorities. Especially since the precise opposite of that has been their modus operandi regarding most issues. Donny has only, “politicised,” the virus, because, A) he was dropping sharply, according to his own pollsters, against Biden, while the country was being, “United,” and supporting each other in the face of a crisis. America seemed to be responding appropriately and following a moral, “instinct,” if you like? Then, Donny turned it into a, “them v us,” situation, as he does with everything, to get back in the game. A, “United,” States of America is literally TOXIC to him, his brand, and his chances of survival. Division was what got him in power, and stirring up that division, to a point that must be the worst America has seen since the Civil War (and, oddly enough, over the very same issues) is what has kept him powerful. And he and his hacktivists, organising these, “protests,” on the internet, know this. Right now, Donny is spending more time with his lobbyists than his Cabinet, figuring ways to get the whole country back to work and making his shareholder-bosses all that MONEY that keeps them from jumping ship to Biden’s team. He believes (and he could be right?) that exposing us ALL to the virus, will cause it to weaken in effect among the general population, and things will get back to normal, if we just lift away the lockdown, everywhere. If he’s wrong, and instead of that, it mutates into a more virulent strain, as the scientists are predicting, he will have cost us more lives AND jobs, slowing the economy even more. Let alone the fact that he’s willing to take this gamble, which he’ll only ever admit to if it pays off, after they’ve buried most of the stats, his plans are truly monstrous; and I don’t know which is more tragic? The fact that he’s in a position to do this to us? Or, the fact that his blind, racist, greedy followers are SO stupid, that they are lining up to campaign for their own demise? Even if trump’s gamble pays off, it will have cost a lot of unnecessary deaths to find that out. And, I noted that, in that familiar way that Donny ALWAYS projects his own crimes and conspiracies onto others, he was admitting what he’s up to; by accusing Fauci of it. When he said Fauci is, “trying to play both sides.” This, coming from the man who openly encourages America to, “protest,” against his OWN policies? The man who can’t admit that he just wants us to ignore ALL protective measures and get back to work. So, he’s looking for excuses, wherever he can find them, and getting mad at the guy who’s simply answering questions; NOT setting policy. This is turning into America’s darkest hour.
Sorry to go on like that. Wasn’t my intention when I started. I hope my words were not wasted? I sense not? Since, “courtesy,” matters to you, I imagine you would pay me the courtesy of reading my response? And, from that same courtesy, my apologies, for offloading all that onto you ✌️
Ash Roskell i agree we are stuck between a rock and a hard place indeed. im glad that there are others out there who stay well informed because in my town it seems like not many people care, and its very disconcerting to be surrounded by such stupidity. stay healthy ✌🏽
very boring films : They’re just scared, most of them. If not of the virus, and the threat of the 2nd Wave, they’re terrorised by the thought of being one month away from failing to pay down on something vital to their families. @Pam Deshane As I have stated before people will always do what they deem necessary for themselves… my point is this is not this man’s first rodeo you have people not wearing mask and not even doing social distance as if to say “I’m not listening to anyone” and people are losing their lives everyday. If you can and want to…go back to work but please be safe…Dr Faucci is not just trying for this economy to stay shut down but he’s saying….not so fast… There will always be different opinions on how to do this…but if I needed surgery….I go to a Dr.
