It’s true. The only thing Trump did for the economy was not screw it up, until COVID-19….
Trump had ample warning. It was Peter Navarro (Trump’s financial advisor) that first warned Trump of the financial crisis to come if the virus became widespread (in January). People that know anything about the economy know that a pandemic will destroy it, and in spite of that Trump pretended the virus was a hoax, proving his utter ineptitude on economics.
Good economy was Obama’s, republicans mess up ,democrats fix.
Just like his casinos, trump CRASHED the economy!

If it weren’t for the simple fact that information gathering is often done by companies that are paid to tell us the “facts” that don’t include child poverty. Hey! 60% of the deaths by gun are suicides (and a few accidents, like taking out your pieces, wanting to clean them, forgetting that one was left loaded and cocked). Police fatal shootings (around 1k/year) account for 1.4% of the total gun deaths. Yes there are over 30k in total.

@Steve Pasquarella The stock market isn’t much of an indicator of the overall economy, and even if it were, if you paid attention to it, for the same number of days in office, the Dow, S&P etc, have performed right at 50% as well under trump as they did under Obama.
@merle stewart They are wrong, but since you want to know why they think he is still good on the economy, here is their broken thinking:
1. Trump was running the economy well, and (at least he said)he was brininging Manufacturing back to America.
2. Then the economy hit and we had to shut down and the unemployment came with that.
Now, 2 is technically true, the economy crashed with the shutdown, but the shutdown only happened because of the spread of the virus, and despite all of Donalds’ lies regarding how little he knew, he ignored the threat of this virus starting with the extensive briefings he was getting in January, where it was made VERY clear that this virus was highly contagious and could be spread by people with NO symptoms. How do I know he knew that? Because I knew it, in mid January – it was on Wikipedia. You think *I* am privvy to information NOT being given to teh POTUS? Of course not.
This is when I knew despite me being a lifelong Republican, that this man had to go. He has been DIRECTLY LYING and spreading feel-good rah rah DISINFORMATION about the virus, to try to get people to go back to work, because he is a shortsighted MORON who doesn’t get that you have to get the VIRUS UNDER CONTROL, before there can even BE a normal economy again.
Don’t get complacent, you still have to vote. Vote in person or drop off your ballot to a drop box if you can.
