This is what we need. 10-20% interest rates. Borrowing money should NEVER BE FREE. Back then a house was worth $150k too. Now with their 0% loans, they are worth millions. This is 100% of the problem. Incomes have become irrelevant really. Nowadays in the Canadian society the way to become wealthy most of the time is not with a job but with your property.
