Student on the run after shooting two faculty at Denver high school | USA TODAY

The two East High School administrators shot during the safety check were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

The suspected shooter was at large and known to police, and the weapon was not found at the school, Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas said in a press conference.

The two school administrators were taken to a hospital, Thomas said. One was in serious but stable condition, and the other was in surgery in critical condition, he said.
