Granted the school was just doing what the health department gave them as a plan but who is at fault for calling out the plan isn’t really a plan, just let everyone get infected: the 15 year old girl or the super intendant for the district, the health department and Governor of Georgia? And who is the only one who received a consequence, the 15 year old girl who got suspended. Where is the consequence for the people in power because they deserve theirs and if it’s let go they will keep doing what they are doing.
@Marnie Grohs How am I “enabling wrong” when I stated the fact that they are not paying for it? No the school was NOT doing what health department gave them as a plan. They did not give them any plan they gave them guidelines which included distancing and masks. They did not enforce masks at all claiming they “can’t” all while being able to throw out any students wearing any political attire before they reach their first class. There are are no consequences because people would rather group up by the thousands to loot small businesses but no one apparently cares for their children’s future at all. If they hired anyone with a brain to manage that school they would have teachers rotate to different classrooms instead of having a mob of kids in the halls every hour.
Silver Wolf you said they shouldn’t be sued, her parents aren’t in a position to fire the superintendent. The only way to get him fired like he should be is to sue, and if they don’t, nothing will happen, nothing will change.
This young lady is a hero. Kudos to her for getting in “good trouble” (I love her nod to the late great Congressman Lewis). I praise her bravery. These administrators should be ashamed.
Chances are that within the next 30 days, someone will have lost their child to this virus. Schools that have reopened in person, and the leaders they follow, will have the blood of children on their hands.
I hope and pray that my prediction is wrong.
