    1. Listen it’s true. The owner is more serious than the dog due to the owner might assault or even use a weapon if anyone messes with the owners dog.

    2. @American guy The three dog attacks I know about all happened when the owners were not around. Also being Canadian, I am simply not worried about weapons this way. Cheers though!

  1. This was very good advise. And reminiscent of what I instinctually did as a child with a street stray that seemed menacing

  2. If walking outside close to other people’s property, good idea to carry a cane or stick. One time I got attacked by a 3 legged dog and outran it, and never tried running from dogs with 4 legs. The times I got bit while doing field work were little dogs coming between open steps while walking up to ring the doorbell. Watch out for dogs chained up, do not go where their chain is long enough to get to you.
