When private business, which are motivated solely by profits, are doing more to fight gun violence than Washington politicians, you know you live in a very sick society.
They are doing nothing to fight gun violence.
This is all wrong. GOOD business is NEVER “motivated solely by profits.” My grandfather was in business during the depression. He gave credit to people who couldn’t pay. And trusted them to pay him back when they got the money. My father was in business in the 70’s. He kept businesses open even when they lost money. Because employees were family and he was responsible for providing for them. Corporations are a different animal, but anybody who has any faith in human nature would recognize that they CAN and often DO have a social conscience.
Trump will never try to change laws associated with these weapons being used in mass shootings

Everytime you see a machoman with a gun, call 911 and report a gunman. Let machoman explain to the cops why he has a gun in McDonald’s and the cops can do a background check at that point. Machoman might decide, after he has been stopped, searched and briefly detained many times, that he really doesn’t need a weapon to go to McDonald’s.
