Sweden has few coronavirus restrictions. Here’s why

Sweden has some of the fewest limits on social movement in any European country. Its containment of the novel coronavirus is largely based on voluntary action. CNN's Bianca Nobilo reports.

  1. Sweden must be the safest place in the world. Drive a Volvo. You will be protected in more ways than one πŸ˜ƒ

  2. After all the stupid things I’ve done in my life and got away with, if I die because I touched my face I will be so pissed off!

    1. Well, I guess all the bible thumpers were right after all – touching yourself will send you straight to Hell.

  3. I would like to see a new report in May of this country. Then we will see how are they doing then πŸ€”

    1. @MundaneDave Well see, i live in stockholm. I will know for sure if we will get fucked more than other counties. But what you are seeing in these clips is not what i am seeing living here.

    2. @Snake Plissken . Stf, trumpanzee! Are you high? Do you even understand English?
And what EXACTLY is cnn doing to compel your ant brain to think they are lying, you imbecile? WHAT?
Did cnn anchor say anything? NO! ALL CNN DID WAS TO REPORT WHAT SWEDEN IS DOING, you filth! Get the hell out of here and go watch faux news, okay?

    3. @Snake Plissken “This is CNN. Why are you expecting the truth?”

Except, they only reported the truth in this video. lol. You damn nutjobs are everywhere.

  4. They are going for the herd immunity solution. We will see how social experimenting on both sides turn out.

    1. Jude Research also shows Coronavirus can hurt men’s testicles so that they may have troubles to have babies.

    2. @Mark Victor Over 65-year-old rate of Sweden in 2018 found 26%, and hospital beds per 1,000 person researched 2.6, i.e, 26,000 in Sweden. Korean is 12.1, i.e, 600,000 beds with medical staffs for serving its amount in Korea. But We had managed to get through pandemic times of near medical collapse in DaeGu area and still in whole country alert. And nation and regime should serve for its people’s lives first. Economy is the next.

    1. Minnesota Mountain Matt Why not do like us sweds and go on a ski vacation, gotta love swedens arrogance

  5. 3 stages of reaction to COVID-19
    1. What’s coronavirus?
    2. Oh it’s just like a flu, it will go away
    3. THE PLAGUE IS UPON US! CLOSE EVERYTHING DOWN!

I guess Sweden is at stage 2

    1. @Peterolen I can tell that you have no f-ing clue about whatever is happening in the health care section. And hey, people should stay at home if they have symptoms but they won’t be paid or tested that easily. How about that? Not to mention the confusing directions on whether they should use short-sleeved robes, masks and some form of eye protection. Wake the f up, swedes! We are LOSING control and they are already running out of protective supplies!

    2. @christoffer pedersen When adressing Swedish people, please make your point politely. Next please understand the difference between actual and relative values. Cases and deaths per million inhabitants are laregly the same in Denmark and Sweden and have been following each other for the past weeks. There can be many reasons for this and it is too early to say if one or other strategy has worked better.

  6. Just to be clear. People’s behaviour have changed. At least that’s my experience. It might look like we are not taking it serious because we are allowed to go outside etc. but I think people in general takes it seriously. Of course you can find people who takes it less serious and people who overreacts but hopefully the combined effect will be that the curve is flattened enough to not overwhelm the health care system too much.

  7. Sweden is yet at the beginning of the curve. Their numbers don’t look good and their curve is exactly the same as the other countries so far.

    1. Maybe you are right – the curves I have seen that use Italy as benchmark and which have the same progression for France / Spain shows slower development (so flatter curve) in Sweden.

    1. hfredydl Sweden bus stops: everyone here is at least 3 meters apart from each other even when there no virus πŸ˜‚

  8. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and Minds through Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:7

  9. Swedes have a natural disposition in regards to social distancing!?
Well if that’s not pulling comforting notions out of your arse, then I don’t now what is.

    1. He meant in comparision to certain other countries, which you would have grasped if you actually listened. We’re a rather spread out population. We don’t have cramped cities like New York, London etc… That’s what he meant. And it wasn’t “pulling comforting notions out of your arse”. It had some validity to the claim. But yeah, we need to do more to combat the virus.

    2. @Andreas karlsson So you’re telling me the cities in Sweden are somehow more spacious? Next you’ll tell me the roads are wider, sidewalks are broader and rooms are bigger? If you mean overall population density then I’m pretty sure Norway has you beat, as for urban planning, there Sweden is just as screwed as everybody else.

    3. @Simon Frederiksen Compared to big cities like London, New york and Rome? Yes I will. That’s a fact. But I’m not going to argue with you. Your attitude is so obviously that of a troll. Only trolls make up arguments for the person they talk to in attempts to make them look silly.

    4. @Andreas karlsson How is an inner city block in Sweden any different from an inner city block in Italy!?

    1. It is not that big a difference – you have to look at the deaths per capita (S: 18, DK, 16, NO 7 which is where S was less than a week ago so it is hard to say what the end result will be,
