  1. Sweden needs to wake up and realize the seriousness of this pandemic! It’s not all about the economy, it’s also about the health and safety of the people.

    1. @CatsInHats S.Crouching Tiger I live here so I know but it is not as you think it is. We take care just as every other country. The big differens are madks and lookdowns. Mask are disputet and lookdowns is not legal due to our constitutional law.

    2. The sad part is their economy tanked just as much as their neighboring countries, the no-intervening policy didn’t even save the economy.

    3. @Mats K they sacrificed their elderlies.
Not even providing oxygen in home care facilities pretexting that oxygen is ‘dangerous to handle’ which is preposterous.
But morphine wasn’t in short supply on the other hand 💀
In the process they obviously cut years of care for these pple.
Now if you’re ok with that that’s a position you may want to defend.

Their death rate mapped to US population is above 175,000 to put things in perspective.
And their GDP will shrink as much as their neighbours that have ridiculously low death rates.
      All this sacrifice for… nothing.
      Bravo 👏👏👏🙄

    1. @So What
Biden doesn’t really have supporters though. People just stand by him because he isn’t trump. But the ‘people’ who stand by trump are literally a cult; There is no comparison. They are a number 1 threat of domestic terrorism (FBI data agrees once more).

    2. Everyone country has stupid people. The key point is whether the stupid people dominate the country (like here in the US) or they can be influenced by others to be less stupid.

    3. what is more dangerous is that the stupid people think they are smart and should be followed by others (I don’t bother to give the example everyone knows)

    1. @ATL BravesIf you want to experience a slow and painful death by a disease, then don’t bother crying to us on how horrible it feels just because you can’t take this seriously due to your outdated Cold War fear of “communism”. It’s called natural selection, honey. Its nature. Deal with it.

    2. @MusicByJC Horrible, had no idea, found this story

Lili Sedghi’s father, Reza, was not seen by a doctor on the day he died from coronavirus, at his care home in northern Stockholm.

A nurse told her he’d had a morphine shot in the hours before he passed away, but he was not given oxygen, nor did staff call an ambulance. “No-one was there and he died alone,” says Ms Sedghi. “It’s so unfair.”

    3. Swedisjh model aka big US companies buy healthcarecompanies and refuse to hire people with diplomas at fulltime at the retirementhomes, thus making that most of staff is working on gigbasis like uberdrivers do for a low salary, no insurance and risc of losing thevfew hours/ week if they stay at home.

  2. Evidence that the “Swedish experiment” failed. Not judging. US failed too. I’ve lost 9 nurses so far since March. Please!!!! Please!!!! Care about your neighbors. Wear a mask!

    1. Amen to that. The model to compare to is not the US though, it’s New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, South Korea etc, where they actually implemented the advice of experts completely with great success and are essentially back to normal life with only a few minor adjustments. What’s happening in the US is simply mind-bending and staggering to watch, the people that went to the moon in a tin foil bucket when we barely knew if you could even land on the thing, are doing this…

    2. @kremove
Yet Sweden has lower deathrate per capita then many countries who had forced shutdowns..
So obviously forced shutdowns don’t seem to be the solution.
Scare the sheep 🐑 and they will beg for an orwelian surveilance and police state with no liberties…
Sweden has been the only sensible country.

  3. So all of the people who claimed Sweden was doing the right thing with herd mentality…er.. immunity were wrong?! No? 🤦

    1. @Sven Larsson Yes, you are right. Now, lets go about those countries you named and see if there is a common factor, which might explain why they have suffered very different mortalities.
Italy was hit hard, Greece much less so. Could it be that Greece locked down early enough?
Spain was hit hard, not Portugal. I wonder, has Portugal locked down at a similar stage of the epidemic as Spain, or way earlier?
France was hit hard, Switzerland less so, Austria and Germany even less so. Could it be, that Austria and Germany have locked down way earlier than France, as measured on the cumulative incidence scale?
Belgium was hit hard along with most of the surrounding areas, save for neighbouring german regions, which however were some of the hardest hit regions in Germany, due to transborder traffic.
UK was hit hard, Ireland much less so. Has Ireland locked down at a similar cumulative incidence as the UK, or way earlier?
Now, what could be the reason Norway, Finland and Denmark have way lower incidences and death counts compared to Sweden? Maybe, just maybe, their authorities have not been pushing the drivel, that Sars 2 is a no biggie, as long as you are young and healthy, plus the fact that these nations have instituted reasonable mitigatory measures early enough..?

    2. @Fritz Haber Could it be that people in Mars have been inhaling gases so they are green and could it be that people behind the moon is hit by a hammer so they are flat in the head and could it be that people in Venus are so dry because they are hot? See, I proved anything too.

    3. @Sven Larsson Anyone curious to find out whether those countries did lock down earlier than those who fared poorly can go and find for themselves, meanwhile, the Swedish trolls might be writing novels about Mars and Venus people while their elderly are dying in droves again.

    4. @Fritz Haber Yes if it is going real bad Sweden may come to go high in dead as bad as USA. but that is a log way to go to reach that bad level.

    5. @Sven Larsson Coming back to the original point, do you think Norway or Finland are also at peril of getting to US levels? I don’t think so. They have both very similar populations, geneticaly and demographicaly, as does Sweden, and also a similar population density. Do you not think it would be better for Sweden to review its way of dealing with the epidemic, to both save vulnerable people and to mitigate the economical damages..?

  4. I’m normally a big supporter of the Scandinavian Model, but Sweden has to stand up and admit their approach to tackle Covid has failed.

    1. @Mats K New Zealand protected its population. Sweden didn’t. New Zealanders live a normal life now, and has for much of 2020. Swedes do not. Australian here btw.

    2. @Raven R Lots of good points to make, but amazingly there are many more facts that could be listed nonstop. Our world ,our lives hangs in the balance. So much left out of all news stories-facts-to make a point in any direction you lean on this.I think I was sucked in by this virus scare at first but now wish it was real so that it would wipe out 10% of mankind taking out the ones that look but don’t see !

    3. @drylander3024114 : My daughter was at work, and her boss told her that the hospital is filled,.I asked my daughter what happened to flu season ?, I remember the hospitals being packed with flu patients. This is the time of year for the flu. My daughter knows it’s fake. It took some time convincing her, but she’s awake now. I knew it was fake as soon as I saw them propgandalist videos coming out of China showing people dropping dead in the streets and malls. I knew it was all staged. Some Others also knew. This is Agenda 2030. They are going to use mass starvation and vaccines for depopulation. Wait until God sends the real plagues. These evil Elites will get what is coming to them. They will be held accountable for their evil works. Pope is also evil. I find it interesting that the Pope said it’s time for the NWO, and for the United Nations to take over the United States, meanwhile blessing Emmanuel Macron as Global Leader. Many Christians suspected Emmanuel as Anti-Christ some time back, before this fake Virus.

  5. Delivered to the American people?
No new steel plants, No new coal mining, no new Health plan, and
Mexico is Not paying for the Wall!
Trump has just told one Lie after another, 46,200, and counting!
But none of them remember all of Trump’s broken promises, or they
    Lie to cover for him.

    1. if trump did half of half of what he said he would do, yes, that is 1 Quarter of the claims, he would have become the most “did what I said” president in history to date.. instead.. he has literally done zero. His actions have only cost americans millions if not billions of dollars, and much of that money was funneled into his own personal use. Not only does he not deserve to be president, he deserves jail with a heavy amount of money he needs to return to the US people. Billions of dollars in fact.

    1. mc wm 80 million Americans voted for Biden. 74 million for Trump. But there are 235 million Americans that could of voted in 2020. 81 million Americans didnt vote for either. Biden only got 1/3 of Americans to vote for him.

    1. @Mats K eh not really. In Sweden’s defense just about every country is having a Covid spike regardless of what they’re doing

    2. @Fox T. Eh, yes it did. What would you say if the numbers dropped from, lets say 1500 to 50? That’s not a significant drop?

    3. @Link That doesn’t hurt them that much. Especially when you compare it to the fact they didn’t spend hundreds of billions of dollars on a lockdown. Look at the big picture.

    1. @Robin P lol you brainwashed zombie. Covid has a 99.96% survival rate and 99% experience no symptoms at all..
You are terrified of a boogeyman that your leftist overlords have conditioned you to believe in

    2. @ATL Braves covid has a 99.96% survival rate, and 99% experience no symptoms at all. If you try to teach science denying leftists this simple fact, they’ll tell you that science and math are “racist”.

    3. @Sandy Allen covid has a 99.96% survival rate, which means out of 10,000 people who have it, only 4 will die. You have 1,254 times the chance of dying from heart disease statistically.
You have more of a chance of dying from a WORKPLACE ACCIDENT than from covid.
Don’t let these Totalitarian, science denying leftist MSM overlords brainwash you.

    4. @Dave you do realize that was in 1976, right? The 2009 swine flu didn’t require a vaccine because of the lack of lethality… also, your anti-vaxx claims are merely conjecture based on correlating stats… People who drive are 20 times more likely to end up in a car accident vs people that bike more frequently… therefore driving a car is likely to get you into an accident. Narcolepsy is so rare that any anomalous statistic such as an increase of 3-4 per million would be an astronomical % increase. American anti-vaxxers point to 2000 cases of severe reactions to immunizations over a five year period to how dangerous they are despite over 100 million vaccinations having taken place. There are side-effects to every drug and if that means an extra two or four in a million are likely to have a side-effect… so be it. The first time someone takes penecillin is likely to have an allergy is roughly 1 in 10… so the first time anyone takes penicillin there is a 10% chance they could have a severe reaction but we are not banning it!

    1. The only problem is that Trump & his associates give a poop about the ICU’s, 10 minutes after they leave it would be back to agenda.

    2. Exactly! They won’t understand unless they experience it for themselves. Every healthcare worker all over the world are saying the same thing but people just equate that to conspiracy theory. Try working in the hospital check lab results and see for yourself what we are up against.

  6. Come on people, it is time we all take responsibility for our actions and stop the spread.

When I feel home claustrophobic, I go for a walk I socially distance. I wear a mask when shopping. I exercise at home. There is no need to put oneself and others at risk.

  7. That is absolutely crazy to have a bunch of people doing aerobics even if socially distanced, while jumping around breathing hard in and out all inside a huge indoor space. Are they nuts? What is wrong with people? This is one of the worst things you can do because people are breathing hard while exercising. People, you are not going to die because your not exercising at a gym! Be creative and do it at home or outside!

    1. I am swedish and I agree, but the nees you get from Sweden are in fact from Stockholm and they are the swedush floridians

  8. When you decide that you should let the individual choose what to do, they usually do what they want to do without regard to the impact of their actions on others.

    1. @Haven The Terrible Not sure if ATL Braves is evil but his comments show that he’s at least plain stupid.

    2. People think freedom is freedom from responsibility. That’s why we have road rules… To protect innocent people from fools expressing their freedom to drive like an idiot. When road rules are broken, no one argues about the consequences… even jail time for severe cases of negligence.
It should be the same for idiots who want their “freedom” during this pandamic. Laws to protect everybody.

    1. Because most people died before the restrictions came. Then the deaths went down close to zero. Almost zero deaths is good. Or is almost zero deaths bad?

    2. The virus was already present long before it was know it exsisted, it reached our retirementhomes and spread.
They have found covid19 evidence in blodbanks and in lungscreens as far back as from end of last year all over Europe.
Swedes travelled during that time and as those in healthcare don’t have a high salary of season trips are more common.

End of winter, start if spring those with higher income travelled and they continued even after we had been told not to go more than 2 hours drive from home. .

    3. Well, in America 250,000+ are dead, and 70,000,000 people voted for the person responsible, saying he did a great job!

    4. Well when the dead are elderly, and brown and black skin immigrants who live in close proximity and multigenerational households, of course it’s a success! You solve both your immigration and social security problems ! Win win. Or you can call it “maintaining our freedom”! Whatever makes them sleep better I guess. You have to be on the “ humanoid”spectrum of humanity though to be able to implement it with clear conscience.

  9. When are people around the world going to learn — if the average person exercised common sense and prudence, there would be no need for 99% of the laws, regulations, codes, etc that govern a civil society. You cannot rely on people to make critical decisions, even when it means protecting thier own lives or that of their loved ones, let alone the lives of others during the pandemic with a highly contagious disease. The balance that we’ve worked towards as societies such as seat belts, traffic regulations and rules, and other safety rules can and should be applied to dealing with a national/global health crisis without everyone screaming tyranny/oppression/nanny state, etc.

    1. Wrong the people I talk to say the actions taken were not enough, it’s the officials who don’t admit it.

  10. Stop listening to QAnon, Breitbart, social media and radical people like Alex Jones, they are profiting from ur misery!!!

    1. the damn thing kills people, that should be all we need to know. i applaud Sweden for riskig everything for self-determination. people are stupid, but with environments not poisoned by propaganda, we can at least govern ourselves by electing representatives – that is the important thing to remember here. Some experiments will fail – maybe even America, but not because of the truth.
      I f ya don’t get it, I’m a bad messenger
