  1. How does ONE JUDGE have so much power to make such an impactful decision that affects The Whole Country?

    1. @Joshua¡ Hhmmm I am in Alberta now but originally from/went to school in Lasalle On. They made us take law in grade 10 for a full year. It covered the systems how laws are made and the roles of all branches. Then later on focused on specific cases that had laws changed as a result. Like Sikhs being able to wear their Kirpan daggers in clubs.
It is ridiculous. They often overrule congress and the president as well, which seems odd as they aren’t elected by the people at all.
If you want a good laugh at Canada look into the Mi’kmac lobster dispute. Basically the Supreme court of Canada spent 15 years and who knows how much money to approve a verbal agreement made by the British long before Canada was established that basically lets them fish as much lobster as they want off season. You can imagine why that is a disaster.

  2. I thought here in Canada was a circus. How can you tell someone they can or can’t have a baby. Mind blowing to the majority of the world. I know it’s hard to see it when you’re on the inside.

    1. @Market Rio >> _”Im a non-binary atheist…”_

      Really? I am the FSM.

      >> _”life starts at inseminationn(sic).”_

      It doesn’t.

    2. @Richard Reese >> _”it’s not pro choice”_

      It actually is.

      >> _”There two sides pro life and pro death.”_

I can agree to that. Pro choice is pro life after all. Her name is Savita Halappanavar.

  3. How can a 20 year old drug given to millions of women every year be unsafe What’s more useful 20 years of data and knowledge or some biased opinion

  4. My question is why its ok for a federal judge has deep ties to religion. That is just sick and goes against church and state separation in a major way.

    1. @Eduardo Rodriguez – @”Did you read the amendment ? The government shall not establish a state run religion” – That isn’t the Free Exercise Clause. That’s the Establishment Clause. Different Clause than what I referenced.

@”if a goddam judge uses solely faith to pass judgement is the very example of including faith to pass judgement.” – This comment is irrelevant to what I posted… and has nothing to do with what the OP posted.

    2. @rek131 I just don’t know what what you’re laughing about. Seriously. I don’t understand, maybe l’m just dense.

    3. Do you actually understand what Separation of church and state means? It has nothing to do with this case.

  5. Because we are of course all advocating equality, there should be an equal response to this male judge if he indeed bans mifepristone. Women should simply say: if we are not allowed to choose for an abortion, you are not allowed to produce children and should be sterilized. The deed of making or preventing to make children is an action of two people who should bare, yes again, equal responsibility, though sadly men cant get pregnant

  6. He is a low level Federal Judge. Federal trumps state. The presumed injunction will most likely go into effect. Look at the biased background of this judge. The Theocracy of Texas will prevail, I predict.

Since this is a low level judge, there will be the opportunity to climb that legal ladder. We all should be aware of how slow the wheels in the justice system can turn.
    Isn’t Theocracy Great!

“My belief is correct! Yours is the road to damnation!” 😇

  7. When this judge needs medical attention, perhaps he should go to another judge instead of to the hospital. Since judges without any medical education whatsoever obviously now know medicine better than the best medical experts.

  8. Also, who is this judge with NO MEDICAL TRAINING to determine if the drug is safe or not? This makes no sense.

  9. People who remove women’s rights should be prepared to lose their own. One thing leads to another. Perhaps the drugs the judge and their family rely on should be made illegal next by another judge or the fda should remove approval.

    1. @Rod I would note your founding document grants citizenship to those born. Is a blastosphere any more a child than a sperm? Many aborted would not survive till birth and by not aborting would kill the mother as well. To murder or so risk a mother, to enslave her and force her to bear against her will is not right. Nor do you have any right to judge a mother’s hardest choice. The bible will tell you to judge yourself not others, you don’t know the circumstances of those mothers or why they make their choice to terminate or not, like all humanity you just know your own fears and shame and project them on others, that is why you shouldn’t judge, just make your own choices. There are best choices you can make are to avoid a child needing to be aborted, so get a vasectomy, stop forcing women and girls into pregnancy against their will and provide a supportive caring world where all people feel safe and able to give birth and raise children without they or their child’s future rights and freedoms being stripped away from them. The right to decide what happens to someone’s body is a person’s and if they aren’t yet a person or can’t decide for themselves, that right belongs to their next of kin and loved ones, not some stranger with a moralistic log in their eye. Heck if you want to stop actual child murder fight for much tougher gun laws, allow more starving migrants into your country and welcome them instead of building walls, wear a mask in a pandemic, get your kids vaccinated, don’t drink to excess and don’t operate powerful tools like cars drunk. Sure I would do my best to ensure children I conceive survive, (and at least one was taken by nature before birth and mourned) but I will also ensure I can raise them and all their siblings, protect the choices of their mother, care for the world they inherit, it is never so simplistic as you seem to think. (And yes thanks to my privilege I was able to have four born alive before I got snipped, safer for me than for my wife to keep conceiving or get surgery.)

  10. So, based upon the idea that Mifepristone was originally developed for a different purpose, this judge would forbid it being used to terminate pregnancies? How about Rogaine, Cialis and Viagra? They were originally developed for the treatment of blood pressure irregularities. This ruling should prevent their ever being prescribed to treat male pattern baldness or impotency. Gabapentin was originally developed to prevent seizures, yet is routinely used for pain management. Should all those suffering people continue to suffer? Some antidepressants are used to treat addiction and PTSD. Won’t be able to do that anymore. You or a friend or family member, have probably been prescribed a drug for an off-label use. Even if you don’t care about women’s bodily autonomy, this ruling should frighten you.

  11. Approving a drug : Decades of research, thousands of patient studies.
Rejecting an already Approved Drug : “Me no like you.”

  12. How on earth can this judge hear this case? The fact he did not recuse himself on his own motion is breathtaking. Even the plaintiff thinks he is in the bag which is why they choose him.

  13. I honestly believe that judges should stay away from politics, they should have 0 powers on banning any laws or reversing anything that can implicate Nation wide decisions Judges are known to force opinions upon others.

  14. I’m done sitting tight for the award advance since i acquire $23,000 every 12 days of my investment..😊
