Private prisons are a horrible idea!!! They should never have been allowed!
Most are closing. There are functions federal and states should be in charge of.
They attempted to sue someone for describing their daily operations.

Drugs are drugs, all should be legal, and the money used for fighting the “war” on drugs should be used for treatment and rehab. But don’t stand there and tell me that smoking pot cures cancer.

Private prisons are the reason America has the most people behind bars in the world.

The war on drugs and the privatization of prisons came hand-in-hand. Their only purpose was to put minorities in prison and create a correlation between them and crime, while also making profit off tax dollars. That money could have gone to medicare for all and would have created far, far more jobs in the medical profession without making people suffer and given the people something back for their taxes paid. Private prisons only siphon money to the top.

America needs less private prisons profiting off taxpayer’s money, and more rehabilitation and education centers.
