  1. Black people/White Jesus blue eyes and blond long hair……just like the Metallica singer! (obey your master master master)

  2. As a black Jamaican I believe Christianity is a middle Eastern religion so I don’t understand how some black folks talking about black Jesus while on pictures you having a white curly hair man .
As much I know through technology and common sense that ain no one can create a planet nor what the Bible said but common sense also is telling me that every culture or country use to have their own religion before slavery for example why the Indian gods look more like a Indian person while Asian god is looking like a asian person?

    1. I’m not saying ppl can’t worship what they want and I’m not being mean .
I’m J’s that common sense is telling me there’s no such thing as black Jesus nor white Jesus like Christianity speak mostly about places in the middle East .
Us black ppl have a lot of good say about Africa so why don’t we go and start resurrecting our African religions or the religion us black ppl created?

  3. MSNBC put something up about faith? Usually it’s complete anti-biblical policy they’re preaching. I’m shocked.

  4. Compare white evangelical churches to the black churches fighting for equality and civil rights, I KNOW which church Jesus would attend.

  5. In the timeline of our species, the ‘Black Church philosophy’ reflects the collective empowerment of liberation theology – American style. From the personal to the political; from individual to social movement. So interesting …. Thank you as always PBS.

  6. None of you have seen Jesus, so why are you worrying about what looks like? He was Jewish… born in the middle East. That’s what we know. He is the son of God. That’s what we know. For God so loved THE WORLD (that means all of us, everyone) that he sent his only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. That’s what we know. Stop fighting. Start showing the love of Jesus. 💕

  7. Read Deuteronomy 28- African Americans keenly fit these scriptures of being enslaved in a world not their own and forced to speak a weird language.

  8. THERE IS A CIRCUS/CARNIVAL LEVEL INTEREST IN “THE BLACK CHURCH.” THERE SEEMS TO BE NO REALIZATION THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO STANDARDIZE BLACK PLACES OF WORSHIP. ONE PREVALENT DIFFERENCE WOULD BE THE CHURCH THAT ALLOWS CURIOSITY SEEKERS COME IN, GAWK, QUESTION, MISUNDERSTAND EVERYTHING COMPARED THE CHURH SACRED TO THE MEMBERS THAT DO NOT ALLOW TRESPASS.
