How is having a knee on someone’s neck any different than a hanging or choking? All three restrict breath way and if sustained all lead to death. Just watching testimony has been emotionally taxing.

Blood ( the red stuff in the blood vessels carry oxygen throughout your body)
Oxygen is needed to breathe and to stay alive.
When you are in a prone position ( laying face down) on a hard surface ( street) with another adult human on your back. Your chest muscled and lungs can not expand in or out ( in this case up and down)
When this exertion is carried on especially for 9 minutes it results in lUck of oxygen to vital organs…such as you brain and heart.

George Floyd was a convicted criminal high on drugs, whom got caught committing a crime. He resisted arrest violently for the second time with the Minneapolis PD and died when he was subdued. The death was totally inadvertent. Cased closed.

@Jack Galmitz he does know and he is comfortable because it was not his first time killing. Even the rookie asked him to put George on his side but his senior officer POS Chauvin said NO.

If the knee on a neck for 9 min. was not the cause of death then have Chavin lay on the floor of the court room and have someone trained in chocking maneuvers kneel on his neck for 9mins. it would be interesting to see the results.
While in the military I was trained in the maneuver and also was on the receiving end. 9mins. 29 sec., no living thing can survive being chocked out that long.
I’d bet an alligator can survive being choked that long. Alligators can survive anything.

Why is Morries Hall, Floyd’s drug dealer who was with him before the arrest taking the 5th Amendment in this case? It is because drugs certainly were what killed Floyd and Hall is guilty of 3rd degree murder. You might read the Coroner’s report before making statements that the pressure on Floyd’s neck killed him. The Coroner could determine that the knee was on the back of the neck and on the lateral aspect ( the side) and this could not have caused suffocation.
