‘This for That’: U.S. Diplomat Directly Ties Trump To Ukraine Plot – The Day That Was | MSNBC

The congressional testimony of Bill Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine, was the latest transcript released in relation to the impeachment inquiry of President Trump. In his testimony, Taylor stated that it was his “clear understanding, security assistance money would not come until the president [of Ukraine] committed to pursue the investigation." When asked if he was "aware that quid pro quo literally means this for that,” Taylor answered “I am.” Aired on 11/07/19.

    1. I know you are kidding, but I understand your Frustration with this A-Hole!!! Hopefully soon will be the Ending of his Presidency, and Restore Sanity Once Again!!!

    1. Lol yup let’s not talk about the billions of US tax payers money that went missing in Ukraine while Biden was dealing with them……just give them more of US tax payers money before we find out where the last billions went.

    1. @Trumpocalypse a segment of Americans are tired of footing the bill for European security at our expense and a president with the balls and foresight to voice those feelings.

    1. @Gabe Dudley you have absolutely no proof of any claims you made. Meanwhile, Trump’s people keep getting convicted. 5 more are on the chopping block, the Giuliani syndicate.

    2. @IHCTerra there is plenty of proof but they are going to talk about on the nazi propaganda. Its time you let it go and accept the obvious. We are being deceived on a massive scale but its not by trump. This has been going on way before him. Lose the ego that creates your hate and you will begin to see the logic.

    3. @Gabe Dudley you are a liar and you are defending a liar. That’s pretty much it for you. In this place where you literally only have your word, yours are less than nothing.

    1. It’s important to drill down and analyse the “Quo” part. And surprising/puzzling, at first.
Trump wasn’t asking them to *DO* a “corruption” investigation ; instead he was insisting that they publicly *SAY* that they would do a Biden investigation
He insisted they say this in an interview on CNN (not in the Ukraine media). While Trump hates CNN with a passion, he knows that would reach independent US voters. He already has the votes of most Fox viewers. He sought no assurances whatsoever that an investigation would happen: if they DID a proper investigation, they would likely exonerate the Bidens.
Trump wanted the *innuendo* without the endo. The echo-chamber does all his heavy lifting, and innuendo trumps fact every time.

  1. If the GOP was a lawful organization, Trump would go to prison. But sadly, the GOP is a crime family, so they’ll spend the day insisting that blackmail is not a crime, and spend the night erecting Confederate statues to Trump.

    1. Emily, you remind me of the line from No country For Old Men. You have no idea what your saying. Good bye

    2. @Land of the Free Where in that definition you provided did it say that an extortion has to be in the form of a “threat” ?

The implication was clear in the transcript and multiple testimonies from credible witnesses and people who were on the call made it clear that Trump was withholding Military aid in exchange for the President of Ukraine making a public announcement regarding an investigation into the Bidens. Trump knew that Ukraine was in desperate need of Military assistance. That is why he used the Military funds as leverage against the President of Ukraine in order to get what he wants. THAT’S EXTORTION!!!

Get lost you pathetic Russian Troll, or Trump cultist, or whatever you are.

  2. When tribal politics become more important than the constitution, we’ve lost the foundation of who we are.
    This is NOT acceptable.

    1. @mastermason10 also it looks like the so called whistleblower worked for Biden when he was doing his scamming in Ukraine.

That’s why the media wants you to focus on the phone call…there is alot to the Ukraine story…many involved.
      https://youtu.be/5nUZekJ3pfM

    2. @bob Bunni “also it looks like the so called whistleblower worked for Biden when he was doing his scamming in Ukraine.”
So, who’s the whistleblower and in what capacity did they work for Biden?

“That’s why the media wants you to focus on the phone call”
I don’t disagree, though it sounds like you’re countering their guesses with some guesswork of your own.

“look how they pushed the Russia hoax… to coverup this”
      Also guesswork.

“look at what the Clintons did in Haiti”
Yea, look at it… even if you’re right: where’s the proof?

So, I guess I could sum up all my questions as: do you have any proof to back any of this up? It’s a rhetorical question, of course you don’t. Democrats can’t prove Russian collusion any better than you can prove any of the above claims.

My conclusion hasn’t changed: America’s problem right now’s that people pretend they’re great @ research, then don’t do any… then devout politicalness gets ya and y’all’re off to the conspiracy races. Not just Republicans: BOTH sides.

    3. @mastermason10 ok dug a little more on cairamella…looks like he was working with the Ukrainian embassy as part of the Ukrainians interfering with the US 2016 elections on behalf of the Clinton campaign.

    1. The “walls were closing in” about three years ago. Also, it was the “beginning of the end” around the same time.
I guess THIS time it must be “a turning point”., or at least a “tipping point”.

  3. Trump’s administration is just a long burning dumpster fire and the whole world is waiting for it to die down, so we can air out the stench, and before we get back to real issues (plastic, climate and so on)

    1. @surely you joke, mein failüre Sadly I’m not optimistic either. I mean just look at the people in the country like the “mike stock” guy above as an example of lack of critical thinking. Of course Trump wasn’t accepted as president, when he lost by millions of votes and basically the first thing he did in office was to introduce an illigal “muslim ban”. It seems Trump supporters and republicans with their incredibly selective memory have completely forgotten what “illigal” actually means, but the dems and the rest of the world from the start did not.

    2. @mike stock I voted for Gary Johnson because of the farce that was the 2016 elections. A crony status quo establishment shill vs a shady real estate investor turned celebrity. Both were very close friends through the 90’s…

Trump should have been in jail decades ago for false business practices. I have no sympathy for a constantly lying, aristocratic, adulterous, 6 time bankrupt, man child, con man, bully. He cries about being investigated by Obama, even though he was throwing up red flags by actively persuing contacts with Russian oligarchs to build a tower in Moscow, while running for president. He claims an investigation “exonerates” him, then seeks foreign assistance to get it discredited, even though it was run by our intelligence community. He victimizes himself, while at the same time patting himself on the back for things he told other people they shouldn’t themselves. I have too many morals to vote for such a piece of garbage.

Yes, the *United States* should investigate Biden and Kerry’s sons for using their father’s positions of power to influence large paychecks for themselves internationally. Right after that we need to open investigations into Don jr, Ivanka, and Kushner for the exact same things. The stuff the MAGA Cult whine about with Hillary, has all been performed by the Trump administration, and then some. This “Fake News” “Deep State” conspiracy talk is just an anti-science far right agenda to dumb down the masses. They’re both equally implicit to the establishment and corporate special interests, and should all be investigated and charged to the full extent of the law. The partisanship is just a ruse, and a joke. Voting for which you think is “less corrupt” is just rolling over for fraud instead of drawing a line.

“Just remember: What you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening,” ~ Trump, July ’18

“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” ~George Orwell, 1984

I’ll be voting Andrew Yang in the primary, then probably going back to 3rd party for the general election…

    1. Lee R. N Great results. I’m making the most money That I ever have. Record low unemployment and the stock market is on FIRE 🔥 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏

  4. Lets talk about DT, “the president”, saying he will stay in office for another 20 years. Because he’s not demented enough already. Because he hasn’t completely destroyed America yet.
Putin got all of Russia’s chips they lost the last few decades. Making gains. You want to see where this ends? I guarantee you don’t.

    1. @e Gotcha A few things: 1. One thing you should have understood by now from the mass shootings is that the right to bear arms does not seem to be a defence against even one man with an automatic weapon so I fail to see how it could defend you against an army, 2. Democrats do believe in safe borders – a wall is a waste of money when you have better technology – and border crossings were way down under Obama. 3. Green technology is the inevitable way of the future and you need to start now in some way. 4. Bill Clinton, a democrat, created more jobs than any other president. 5. On average, Democrat Presidents have boosted the economy nearly 4 times as much as Republican Presidents. This is so you know why people don’t see it your way

    2. @Joy Phillips …and sooo, as if you actually understood what you wrote…you’re not at all concerned about these blatant crimes Trump is committing or that he said would remain president essentially for life??
Why are Trump supporters such morons? I guess one would have to be a moron to support him.

    3. Mboth of yalls responses are contradicting your own sides. You say idk what im saying but seems u really havent been listening to your democrats that are running and what their plans are for America. Pay attention. And if you tgink the green neq deal is a good thing than you knkw absolutely nothing about what it would really do to us. Like sure it sounds good and there are some things we can midly do. But what thwy really wanna do is insane to the extreme. And idk aboit clinton making more jobs than anyone else but what i do know is Trump built our economy better than ever before in history. Helping oit all American’s of every race. And idk how yall can hate him for doing that. You even find reasons why thats a bad thing. I get it hea not 100% perfect but he is a good presudent. And who ever said anything about following someones beliefs 100%. Not 1 person will ever do that unless yall are so brainwashed you truly believe 100% everything thw democrats tell u and if thats say that alone says alot about y’alls characters. Have a mind of ypur own for once and stop following. I believe in what I think is right. I dont follow someone and do whatever they say. I look at both sides and see what i like and dont like. Can you eve. Say u do or do you just blindly follow

    4. @e Gotcha You are the one who is brainwashed or brainless. Trump’s economy is inherited from Obama but you people hate Obama so much and are willing at every turn to steal and cheat your way to the noble lie you love to believe. Go back to the sewer of right-wing opinion at Fox. Nobody but morons believes your crap.

    5. @e Gotcha Inequality in the US is at its highest level ever so I don’t think you are looking at the big picture. Poverty is spreading and getting worse in general. If you say you look at both sides, you should really look at statistics

    1. @bmon40 40 yes the Biden cover up should continue….lol…and you guys buy it? Ugh…the over educated blind viewers.

    1. @KB Peters Sadly, the pumpkin juice brigade will just tl:dr your post and just shitpost like usual. Great overview

    2. “This was a shakedown”
Was it? It’s also American SOP… the only reason this’d even be illegal is what he asked for it.

  5. I suppose some people who honestly thought trump was the better of two evils and hoped that he might become presidential were wrong, and voted democratic in the mid terms and will do so again in 2020.

Others will continue supporting a crook who never does anything wrong and in essence don’t seem to understand that they’re supporting corruption in it’s most basic form – a person who has the power to do anything they want, without consequence. That people is just plain dumb. Why would you support that?

    1. Yep…every neighbor I talked to that voted for that SCUM said they chose him because  he was a business man and thought he would help out this NATION but instead he is all about himself and only himself . He says what people want to hear and have no clue as to follow through with those promises other then to the big donors which are the 1% percent that CHUMP wish he was part of.  Most say TRUMP doesn’t represent America Values let alone speak for the rest of the American people. They will vote for anyone else other then that SCUM BAG me included !  May we the people make America GREAT again !

    2. Two evils? Who votes between two obvious evils? I vote for Bernie Sanders. No evil there to worry about — at all.

“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” ~George Orwell, 1984

  6. It’s Taylor the veteran vs. the draft dodger and man with a history of failed marriages and businesses who defends putin! Gee, who to trust???

    1. M T which senator or congressman are you talking about you need to be specific because they’re all like that however Trump does not have a criminal record and many of them do.

    2. @Chris H except for trading an investigation for aid. Quid pro quo is a polite euphemism for extortion and bribery.
So all these witnesses, text messages, emails and meetings that keep saying there was a quid pro quo are really saying Trump committed bribery and extortion.

Knowing that Trump didn’t care about about any investigation. He just wanted a public announcement. He knew any investigation would be just like the Benghazi investigation on Clinton. No indictments, no findings of wrong doing, just damage to her polling numbers. Forcing Ukraine to announce the investigation in order to get the military aid they needed to fight off the Russian invasion.

  7. The facts have aligned, and the forces of truth have assembled, as the walls of justice continue to close in on the definitely doomed Donald.

    1. @Christopher Carnes As the Democrats’ “impeachment inquiry” probes deep into conversations between President Trump and members of his administration with Ukrainian officials, Republican Senator Rand Paul says it’s crucial that both sides of the aisle are held accountable. While speaking on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Paul called for an investigation into the Democratic senators who requested information into former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort back in 2018.
“If anything’s consistent here, both parties have tried to involve themselves in Ukraine,” he stated. “So for example, four senators, Democrats, wrote a letter to the Ukrainian government and said if you don’t keep investigating Trump we may reconsider our bipartisan support for your aid.” and of course thats not a illegal thing .???.. for the democrats but only for trump .. socialism communism .. and your seeing it first hand this election TRUMP 2020
Sara, Pat Gray, Jason Buttrill, and Rob Eno remind us that, amid the smorgasbord of impeachment insanity, President Trump is making major accomplishments, as exhibited in today’s employment report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
https://rawconservativeopinions.com/2019/10/30/the-plundering-of-ukraine-by-corrupt-american-democrats/ this is ok for the democrats but for trump its quid pro quo

    2. Christopher Carnes You have been suckered by MSNBC again. Taylor has 4th hand information! These public hearings will be a bigger clown show than Mueller’s hearing. If you continue watching MSNBC/CNN after impeachment fails, you’re an imbecile.

    3. Rod Allen sure, Rod. I don’t just come to MSNBC videos because I know it’s where I can find and trigger you boot sucking Dump cultists.

    4. @Christopher Carnes trump has no cult … Hillary has a cult see the difference nope .. thats why your a democrat …

    1. Jai Norman keep eating your popcorn 🍿 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿

  8. The GOP attitude: “It’s our party, and we can do whatever we want!” Not as long as the 59% can go to a voting booth and vote, and true Christians can say a prayer! The truth prevails!

    1. Are we sure about that? Look what is happening today in the Kentucky governor’s race. The Republican state senate is trying to assign a 3rd party votes to the Republican candidate so he can “win.” Who is going to stop them? I hate to be so negative, but here we are. 😳
